Very satisfied with the service and communication with Alex. I've been working on my STL home to get moved into. My time there is unscheduled so meeting people for estimates is a challenge. Also some don't take you seriously if you're not there. Here's the thing, it's the backyard, just go and look. They took my inquiry seriously, went out, looked and provided me an estimate quickly. We scheduled a day and the work got completed, a small hiccup with how far down one tree was taken. I contacted Alex and he said it would be taken care of, and it was done, all was handled courteously. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to neighbors. read more

**If you want good customer service hire someone else** I am working in the capacity of a project manager to assist with property maintenance. Additionally, I had been advised that this area can be problematic but I did not think there would be issues. Double A Tree proved me wrong. I had already worked with other tree removal services but needed to obtain a few more quotes so I called them. When I called, someone answered quickly, "Hi this is Alex" and I replied, "Hi Alex, I was calling..." and before I could finish they hung up. I do not know if maybe they believed it was a sales call. So I called right back and after two rings went to voicemail. The voicemail message asked for your name and address. Why would you need an address before talking to a potential customer and understanding the scope of work? You would only need the address if your objective is to screen customers. Because if your objective is to provide great customer service to everyone and build a strong brand, you have a conversation with everyone who takes a moment to seek your service. Its been 30 minutes and I have not received a call back. I called a couple other places who were kind enough to answer, or call back, and provide recommendations to other businesses when they realized my address was out of their service area. If you are looking for good service Id recommend someone who values it more than Double A Tree does apparently. read more

We called Double A after two large branches broke loose but were still lying on other branches in our tall oak tree - over our patio and neighbor's yard. One well known tree service said it would be 6-8 weeks before they could get to it and over $1000 to get the branches down. Obviously we couldn't wait that long and thought the price was quite high. I called Double A - they came out within an hour to give an estimate (at less than half of the other one) and then rearranged their schedule to come out the following morning. They took down the branches plus cut off a few more that were problematic - all within 24 hours of my initial call! Great service. read more

I called Peter with AA tree service and he gave me a quote. When he showed up on the job site to do the work, after he mistakenly coming the day before, he messaged me and tried to double the price! This was after I already had the electric lines taken down at the house. He then messaged me a minute later saying he had to go to another job site. Very unprofessional and rude. I was impressed with Double A Tree Services from start to finish. Eric promptly responded to my request for an estimate regarding a HUGE, problematic, leaning Hackberry tree that had to be about as tall as a 3-story building. Within 20 minutes he came to take a look and emailed me the bid per my request. They even made a second trip to meet with me and reevaluate after some things were done to the tree. Their bid was extremely fair and also the lowest I had received from other companies. They were very communicative and let me know a day ahead when they'd be here to take care of the tree. Peter and his team came on time and showed professionalism the entire time. Watching one of the crew skillfully climb the tree and place the ropes where they needed to go so the two on the ground could safely direct huge limbs to the ground instead of crashing on our neighbor's carport was impressive. The clean-up crew were also very professional and didn't leave a thing behind. Alex took the payment over the phone and emailed me the receipts--a very simple and easy process. Everyone I encountered was so friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Double A Tree Services and we plan on giving them our business again in the future. read more

UPDATE: I heard back from the owner, we had a very nice conversation, he's a great guy, and he plans to talk to his employee about the incident. So don't avoid his company because of my incident, it's not the owner's fault. I love a story with a happy ending! (Here's my original post: Double A's Tree Service is cutting down a tree in my next-door neighbor's back yard, and they parked their equipment in my driveway and dragged huge tree limbs & branches through my yard. I told them they were trespassing, and one particularly obnoxious employee yelled at me to call the police. When the police arrived, this same employee proceeded to curse at me, using the F-word, and tell me that because of me his kids don't get to eat today. Very unprofessional.) read more

I have used Double A several times and Alex always gives me a fair price and clean cut yard. I mean, these guys beat some of the other big competitors bid in half. One time I was in a pinch and needed one of my trees cut down ASAP due to a wind storm and they came the next day with a nice low price and it was so easy I just texted a picture to Alex since I already had his contact info from a previous cut and it was that easy when I came home from work the tree was gone. Boom! These guys are the best i would highly recommend them. I assume that once they blow up huge their prices will probably go up so I would try to take advantage before they realize just how great they are at a fair price before the price goes up. 2 full grown maple trees removed and a pin oak thinned and deadwood. couldn't have ask for better service and price, after getting ten bids. yard raked and clean, and even the neighbors yard was used a little bit and cleaned. Divots in the yard from fallen trunks were filled with topsoil. They even warned me of a split in the pin oak that they have found. they did a great job, thank you Alex, and Peter. read more
