I don't know what problems the other reviewers have had with DeClue & Sons. This is the 3rd job I have contracted with them and each time I have received fantastic and courteous service. I have always received competitive pricing and during their clean up, they have always gone above and beyond. On the last engagement, they saw some additional work that needed to be done and they contacted me immediately. I asked what the extra cost would be and they did it pro bono. Maybe the other reviewers were the contributors to the issues they experienced. I personally won't use any other tree service. read more

The service I received from DeClue and Sons was outstanding and well worth the wait. Jeremy came and gave my very old pine trees a thorough examination and was very transparent that it would be about 7-8 weeks before they could get to them. On their service day, the crew arrived on time. They were efficient and careful and I really got more than my money's worth with the amount of clearing they did. I was worried because sometimes trimming and removing pine branches can really leave them looking like a very bad hair cut. My pines look amazing and makes my little backyard look bigger and more open. The clean up was superior - you would never know they had been there. I am more than happy and I think the money was well spent. I am very thankful that I chose DeClue and Sons for my tree service. Some of the best work I have ever seen by a tree service. I don't see how there is a single bad review on here. Clearly some people don't know what they want in tree work or how a family-owned service business works, but they came and did the job with quickness and not a single problem was caused. I mean they even blew sticks and leaves out of my bushes and they were not even working by it. I will recommend and only use DeClue & Sons from this point forward. They did excellent work trimming our maple tree. Jeremy the owner was knowledgeable, and his crew arrived on time, was friendly, and was very meticulous about cleaning up once they were done. Never never never again. I had a smaller tree to be removed. They told me the 8th. I set it up so my other contractor could be here to repair a water line in the yard. ON THE 8TH I CALLED THEM AND THEY PUSHED IT OFF ANOTHER 3 DAYS!!! I called someone else and in 15 minutes they were here same price and were done in 2 hours. Plus no one is ever in the office, or answers the phone and you will play hell getting a return phone call. Never never never again will I call them. Came out for an estimate. Got out of his truck and started to grill me on who else I called, what they estimated then told me how they were all bad or illegal or some other negative aspect. He then grilled me on who cut down my other trees and why they and I were wrong or did something he would not do. When he stated that I should call my city planning and report my neighbors for their trees and how the city would sue the neighbor. I then cut him off and said "Look I just want an estimate". He said angrily "I'LL GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATE!" GOT IN HIS TRUCK AND DROVE OFF. Clearly this jerk is emotionally unbalanced. read more

Jeremey DeClue came out with his crew, and did an outstanding job on four of our trees...one an 80-100 year old Siberian Elm. Couldn't ask for a better bunch guys.
