I had this company out to take down one tree and trim another. The arborist who came out was fantastic, and even offered some care advise for one of my other trees. Jess was the most professional and knowledgeable of all the folks I had bid on this job. It took them a bit to get to me after the bid, probably 2-2.5 months. The service was completed as agreed. They had a lift in my yard, and left no marks. They actually left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. I had some brush piled up that I had cleaned out of my fence line - they got rid of it. The leaves I hadn't cleared off my back patio? Gone. I was really impressed. I've had some contractors leave a mess in my interior. I definitely didn't expect this outside. read more

We have had Droege Tree Care work with us to preserve our Black Ash trees on our property. Three years ago they came and provided a service to kill the ash borers. This year, they did some tree trimming on both Ash trees and a giant elm. They were very invested in the health of the tress - as are we. I heard nothing but glowing reviews. Friends who used them were happy. I called for a bid on a tree removal. It took them two weeks to get to me, but okay, if they're good, they're busy. I simply got an email saying they won't do the work with no further explanation. I hope you have better results. read more

HIRE THESE PEOPLE. They are amazing. From start to finish they were professional, courteous, articulate and just plain old nice people. The whole crew-Austin, Joe, Jennifer and Walter delivered completely. I had a big project of 6 trees needing trimming and treating including a challenging 80 year old Pin Oak. Auston not only answered questions but offered information freely. His knowledge as an arborist is impressive. Colleen the owner has been in the biz for years and will come out in person if concerns for the trees arise. And I don't want to forget Natalie in the office. She's on top of it. A large limb came down last night and I called and left a message. Shortly after 7 this morning the call was returned and before 8 they were here to take care of the limb which was blocking our neighbor's driveway. While they were here they also cut out some deadwood in the tree and all for a very reasonable price. Could not be more satisfied. read more

I had a large tree in my back yard that was extending over and essentially onto the top of my house. I called Droege Tree care and they told me they would have their "Arborist" come out to my home. They told me that they would do so on a Monday. I never heard from them on Monday and there was nothing to indicate they had come. So I gave it until Tuesday late afternoon. I called them. It took them a while to figure out if someone had been there, but then they started to tell me what they were going to do to the tree. What they recommended didn't really make sense to me so I let them know what I had in mind (I wanted to make sure we weren't going to do this all again next summer. I wanted to make sure it got done correctly this time). They sent someone back and to their credit, they called me this time. I was mailed a contract which I promptly mailed back to them. I waited approximately two weeks expecting that the work would get done any day now. I finally called and left a message. I was frustrated with the lack of communication, and I needed to know when the work would be done. I received a call back the next morning. The woman told me that they had either not recieved or had misplaced my contract. I again voiced my frustration and I asked if they could just do the work. She said she would see to it. Fifteen minutes later, I received a phone call from a gruff, rude woman who later identified herself as the owner when asked. She stated "I'm not doing any work without a contract". I made sure she knew that I had sent in the signed contract and I had been told it may have been misplaced. She again stated "Well I'm just telling you I'm not doing any work without a contract". I asked her why she sounded mad at me. I had done nothing wrong. In fact, I had done everything that had been asked of me. I asked if there was anything I could do to speed things up. Could she e-mail it to me and I could respond? She said yes. She began to take my e-mail address. I asked her politely to read it back to me. She had gotten it wrong. I corrected it and very politely asked her to read it back to me. She had gotten it wrong again. When we got the correct e-mail sorted out, she told me they were running 2-3 weeks out. I reminded her that I had sent in a signed contract a couple of weeks ago. That is when she hung up. Yes. She hung up. I called back to make sure I was not mistaken. She thanked me for the phone call but informed me that they would not be able to help me. It was at that time that I verified that I was speaking with the owner, Colleen I believe. I promptly called another tree service. They came out today and will do the work tomorrow. I will add their review tomorrow when the work is done. Very unprofessional on so many levels. On Saturday night, a large portion of my neighbor's tree fell onto my roof. I called Droege on Monday morning and they scheduled the removal of the tree for Tuesday. Great service, very professional, and easy to work with. They also do a great job of tree trimming and maintenance. read more

Experience arborists. The health of the tree is taken into consideration and they are NOT all about 'cutting just for the money'. Coleen takes a very thoughtful, conservative and honest approach to what is needed. They may not be the cheapest but they are the best ad you get what you pay for! read more

Horrible. Initially called in August. They had an arborist come out in September and sent me a contract/estimate which I promptly sent back via scanned email. They couldn't get to my tree until October, in which they showed up two weeks after the agreed upon date, and also asked for Another copy of the signed contract they said they never received... They arrived late October and only worked for three hours, and, only got to half of my very diseased tree (and then proceeded to tell me that they were done for the day and they would have to come back). It is now almost December and no one has responded to my email asking when they can finish. I am now moving onto another company. I am very disappointed Seeing as this company was recommended to me by my neighbor. I understand my trees may not be a high priority for them, but what happened to customer service? I would go with anyone else before I would give them your business. read more
