By the time our friendly waitress came to take our order, I was ready to follow Steven's advice and try one of their pizzas. It did not take long before a small pie arrived, generously topped with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and onions. The flavors were spot on, and with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little kick, it was perfect. I enjoyed it so much that while we spent the next 20 minutes chatting about travel, Yelp, and my sprinter van, I looked down to find I had polished off the entire pizza without even realizing it. Service was warm and attentive throughout. Our waitress made sure we were well cared for and handled splitting the check with ease. Market 27 also offers a wide variety of drinks, from sodas to beers. I went with a macro brew this time, but next visit I will branch out and try something different. Overall, Market 27 delivered a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. It's an excellent choice for a casual meet‑up or a satisfying meal. Not much to choose from in this small town but this place is really good! Service was good too!read more

It is extremely unlikely that Bowling Green is your ultimate destination. Why, with a population of…read more2500 folks, it is the very definition of a small town. Most folks are just passing through on Route 17. They are famous because "small town" jokes were invented here. When you pass the "Entering Bowling Green" sign, you can see the back of the "Leaving" sign!" I have more mismatched sox than this town has families! However, it has Gloria's, and I was there for breakfast. Arriving- What a surprise, it's on Route 17! The parking lot is big enough, so I swung my car into a slot and walked right in. Ambience- It's one big box that feels bright and airy because of the high ceiling. A few booths but mostly well-spaced four-tops. A little bit of Western décor but not much. Pro Tip- No Wi-Fi and no hot spots around so you'll be stuck with sloooow 5G! Customer Service- I had some good coffee and a menu in front of me in about three minutes. I perused my menu of standard American fare and as soon as I set it down my server popped over for my order. She was friendly and efficient and so no problems with the service. Food- I ordered a Spinach & Swiss Omelet, Corned Beef Hash, and a Biscuit. It was out in about five minutes and the pre-tip tab including bottomless coffee was $16 and change. Everything was well-cooked and the biscuit was actually steaming when I broke it open. I thought the portions were a little small for the price and the omelet filling was a little stingy. However, everything was tasty. There's not much around this tiny town but they got the job done with three stars. Wauchula is about eight miles away with more choices if you are heading that way.

Arriving- Not many folks have been to Frostproof as it's so tiny. It's a five mile straight shot off US Route 27. Big parking lot so that's not a problem. Ambience- Typical. Kitsch on the walls, booths and tables and a counter that seats 8-10. You've seen it all before. Kids are welcome. Customer Service- Several of the servers have been there many years and seen it all. You can expect them to be friendly and efficient. I've never had a problem. Food- It's rural Central Florida folks so expect standard American fare. This visit I Ordered a Meatlovers Omelet with Home Fries. It came with my choice of toast or a biscuit, but I skipped that because I knew I was getting a lot of food! Of course, I had coffee. The pre-tip tab was about $14. As you can see, a lot of food! The cook knows how to finish home fries. Note the beautiful browning but not burnt. They need a little more seasoning but still very good. The omelet was huge and packed with proteins. Delicious! So, you're blowing down route 27, maybe with the little munchkins, and you need a reliable breakfast or lunch. You're sick of chains. You can't go wrong here, and you should expect a 4-star experience!

-7 years of patronage! -…read more I was 1st to review these fine folks in 2018 and have since had breakfast here many times. This visit was my 1st time for lunch! Important note- This is NOT the franchise chain with a similar name! This is a different family-run, single location restaurant. Pro Tip- Breakfast & Lunch only. Just check Yelp for dinner options in the area. Arriving- They are on the Northbound side of US Route 27, hidden in the Sebring Square Plaza. They're nestled among a string of plazas and signage is not great. Use your GPS. Hint- Look for the Winn-Dixie or Advanced Auto Parts signage and you're there! As they are in a plaza, parking is almost always a snap. Ambience- Don't get excited. It's standard Florida Kitch. You don't go to an inexpensive restaurant to admire the décor. You expect neat and clean, and you will absolutely get that here. Pro Tip- Wi-Fi can be spotty due to the business location. They do have Wi-Fi, but it's restricted to management only. Not the servers, not the customers, just management! Say goodbye to one half star! Customer Service- 10 Stars! I was seated with a menu and had my drink within a minute. I placed my order within a minute of when I was ready and my food was out in less than 10 minutes. Just perfection! My wonderful server was Bobbi-Lynn. I know this because a card on the table told me so. When she delivered my check, she flipped the card over and there was a message. See my picture. So unique and appreciated! Pro Tip- As with many great places in this area, the Sunday church rush is something you do not want to experience! Here it begins around noon so beware of Sundays! Food- Standard American comfort food at its best. As they are in the city of Sebring, you might see a dish called Sebring this or Sebring that, but that's just a marketing ploy. It's still just good ole comfort food. On this visit my trusted Yelp Friend, Art J., recommended the Patty Melt & Crinkle Cut Fries so I went with that. Great job Art! My Melt was piping hot and cooked just as I requested. The caramelized onions were perfect. The fries were hot and crispy. Just a wonderful lunch for about $13 and change. Conclusion- Over 8 years, these fine folks have almost 700 reviews that average 4.5 stars from Yelp and that other site that some folks use and that's impressive. When I first reviewed them, this wasn't true, but they have matured, and I now agree! If they ever change their misguided Wi-Fi decision, I'd go 5 stars!
