I went on Saturday with my wife brother and his wife. I was really excited to have a silver dollar ish resturant. Great ambiance. The building is just huge. The customer service was attentive. Price was high. 25 dollars with no drink but water. 3 dollars to get a soda at a buffet made me feel out of place. The salad bar was lacking, you get a better salad bar at pizza factory. They did offer 2 soups, one was minestrone the other was califlower soup. I didnt try either. Their orange chicken has the same flavor as the kirkland brand i buy. The noodles that they served looked delicous but were disgusting.. Their pizza when fresh was ok. Otherwise it tasted like frozen red baron pizza. I had a warm turkey and pastrami sandwhich (split with my wife) and i was highly disapointed the meat was just rewarmed or over cooked. The dessert we had was a pudfing which i think was supposed to stay cold which it wasnt. Also what i think was supposed to be 3 leche cake. It turned into sluge with a bite. And the brownie looked like cheap store bought but they were worse. They tasted sugarless like a keto cake. I dont imagine ill be going back. To begin with, I hadn't been to Sweet Tomatoes while they were in town so I am unsure how close this establishment is to filling in the ecological niche it left behind, but I will have to say that it is one of the best buffets that I have been to. I went on Tuesday, 11/13 and was happily greeted by the staff. Gabriel was incredibly friendly and inviting. I unfortunately did not get the names of the other staff, but they were on par with their friendliness. The food stations, tables, and overall vibes of the establishment were very clean. My water never ran dry and all interactions were courteous! It was $24.99 for access to the salads as well as carving station. I tried to sample a bit of everything. From the carving station I tried the roast beef, pastrami, brazed beef, and turkey with some mashed potatoes (and turkey gravey) and rice pilaf. The brazed beef and pastrami were good on their own, but would shine greater as a sandwich (which I believe you have the option of making but I did not do so this time). The turkey (slice of breast) was moist and had good flavor as was the roast beef. I had no complaints with the sides and thoroughly enjoyed them. I tried some chicken noodle soup and was not disappointed with the flavoring. I then tried some of the build your own nachos, a slice of olive and cheese pizza, and a piece of chicken. The nachos were great and the cheese sauce appeared to have been made from scratch? The consistency was a little different, but no issues otherwise. The pizza had been sitting a little bit but I did not find it to be dry and thought it had a nice crunch to the crust. The chicken appeared to be a buffalo sauce style, and was moist as well. I then tried a few of the pre-made salads: brocoli, chinese(?), potato, and pasta. I liked all salads but found myself gravitating towards the brocoli salad greatly and would return just for that. I finished the culinary venture with the offered desserts: chocolate chip cookie, vanilla pound cake, brownie (with walnuts), and a donut. All were good, though I would rank the donut below the other desserts. All in all, I enjoyed my visit and the food offered. I liked the meat offerings and if other varieties of proteins were offered would like to see that they may be broken into separate stations for those with allergens and other dietary restrictions (i.e. pork separated from poultry and beef and those separate from sea food). I look forward to seeing how this establishment grows and offers as well as my eventual return! read more

Ate there yesterday with partner and daughter. Partner and I don't eat meat, so we had the soup and salad bar. Quite good. Extensive selections. The soups (tomato bisque and pozole) were also good, as were the rolls. Daughter got the full meal. The meats were sad. Tri-tip/brisket was dry and tough. Turkey was meh, and the ham was not even meh. The ribs were ok. Baked, not grilled. Dessert selection was sad. Service was good. In conclusion, we'll be back for the salad bar. read more

Went to try Dosan with my family. The pros: the salad bar was great with a lot of options. The soup selection is limited but the soup available was good. They have a full bar and craft cocktails which were good. The cons: they have a hot selection of meats and hot sandwiches that was ok but it was hard to get served by the wait staff. The deserts were limited and didn't look very appetizing, we didn't try them. I think fewer options might be a better way to go or only have the buffet available with the soup and salad and have ordering for all other items. read more

But their brats were tasteless the turkey was dry and the worst was that we got there just after opening and stayed for an hour and they didn't have roast beef. The salad bar is organized oddly, I found myself jumping from one side to the next to get what I wanted. The carving station left a lot to be desired as the carver decides how much you get. This is one of those places you'd see on Kitchen Nightmares. Didn't stay more than 20 minutes, and I should've known from how vacant the dining area was. Not even the hostess was enthusiastic about my group coming in, it was more like surprise and now I know why. The pizza was like a cracker with pizza like toppings on it. The cracker that wished to one day be a pizza. The rice pilaf was half cooked having semi soft semi dry bits. The fruit salad is a bowl of soft grapes. The salad bar was a highlight, but you would be the one making it so... . "But what about the carving station?" You may ask, well if you like steamed beef that manages to be dry then you're in luck cause that what they got. Beef with the texture of a sham-wow. The soup was honestly good, but your options are Turkey A and Turkey B. So as for the staff they were no where to be found, no switching out the trays, no temperature checks, nothing. Went to try it out for mothers day and as the reviews and there website and menus show a salad bar buffet which was compared to Sweet tomatoes THEY DO NOT HAVE A SALAD BAR BUFFET I was very disappointed when I arrived. Tonight we tried a new restaurant in Clovis, Dosan Social Eatery. The food was great! The quality is far above any other buffet style restaurants in the area. The menu is small but the taste makes up for the variety of choices. Some have complained about the cost but as Michelle always says, "You get what you pay for." read more

We arrived on Saturday 10/25/25 at about 7:45 pm and got three buffets. The hours listed state the restaurant is open until 10:00 pm on Saturdays. Nobody told us they were not restocking the buffet line and in 15 minutes would start putting food away. I got a plate from the salad bar. When I went to get plate of hot food, there was no turkey out and the pizza look old, like the stuff the guy at Johnny Quick wouldn't even sell you because it was too old. I got another plate of salad waiting for more turkey and fresher pizza to come out. It never did. About 8'oclcok, I heard a customer being turned away because they were closing. I saw employees putting away food. There was my family and at least two other groups still in the restaurant. I check, still the same old pizza. Still no turkey. I got a pastrami sandwich which honestly was pretty good. I came back and asked for a small plate of pilaf, and was told they already put away the pilaf, I asked for mashed potatoes, sorry, we are all out. The salad I got and the pastrami sandwich were good. It wasn't what I wanted because I came here specifically for a turkey sandwich. I checked my GPS and we left the parking lot at 8:20, very dissatisfied. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: You should be ashamed for serving the pizza you had on display on 10/25/25 at 7:45 pm, over two hours before you are closing! You should be ashamed for not restocking the food on your buffet! You should be ashamed to charge a family for a buffet that is closing 15 minutes and not telling them! read more

We were the only people in the restaurant. We asked about a vegetarian option. There was not one although they allowed my dining partner to create a grilled cheese, veggie sandwich..our steak sandwiches were overcooked and dry. We were very disappointed. I've been looking for some close to the old Silver Dollar Hofbrau and I think Dosan hits that spot. I got a pastrami sandwich and a roast beef sandwich and it brought back so many memories. The meats taste just like I remember and the au jus is amazing! Will be coming back for more. They had great sides as well, the rice pilaf was awesome. The restaurant itself is so beautiful, the previous owners had the building looking dark and gloomy. The restaurant now is so full of light has nice music playing and it's gives high end vibes. The service was lacking. We did have a big group of 6 (4 Adults/2 Childeren), a waiter took our drink order and got confused because there was unclear communication with another waitress who was actually going to be handing our table. Also we were not able to get refills for quite some time (nearly the end our meal). We dealt with 4 staff members for our table during our experience mostly just to come pick up plates. One waitress said everything is okay and just walked away. Kinda of bizarre because we wanted to ask for refills. The food was very disappointing. The advertising is very misleading. You expect a little more variety for a "buffet" style salad bar. Everything was cold, even the food that was in "warmers" was barely warm. The breads they offered were all hard and dry. The two pastas they had were okay. The meat carving station is not self serve and there was a lady who was very rude about letting that be known. The meat at the carving station is very dry. I really wanted this restaurant to be a hit because it's in a convenient location and the way it's advertised online is very nice and gives off a totally different impression than what I actually experienced. Basically, it's a very overpriced bistro. If you're looking for a bigger variety salad bar just make the drive to Golden corral or up the mountain to Chukchansi.
