Sunday lunch at dosa hut was so fulfilling . Had the vegetarian thali with filter coffee . Enjoyed the quick service

My family and I are regulars now. The service is incredible and they always go above and beyond for my children. I love that they have vegan options. The flavor is always on point. I love their spinach curry and their lentils. The samosas are big and a good portion. Everything I've had here has been amazing. I recommend everyone here. Parking on site is a plus.

I got these 3 items from them and they were so delicious!!

Updated review: Tofu pulav and the Samosa Chat are perfection. So many amazing flavors going on at once. the Tofu Pulav is a delicious Fluffy yellow rice with tofu a cubes of seasoned potatoes. The chili paratha is spicy!!! My one piece of feedback is to ask the restaurant to label which food is what in their containers.

Chetti pondicherry dosa, and malgudi rava masala

Was driving up from NY to MA, and glad we found this spot! My partner and I got a chetti pondicherry dosa, malgudi rava masala, and chikku shake - TASTE: 4/5 - both dosas hit the spot. Enjoyed the potato masala in the chetti pondicherry dosa and the cheese in the malgudi rava masala, plus the chutneys that came w both. Never had chikku, or zapota, before but loved the subtle sweetness of the shake! TEXTURE: 5/5 - both dosas were perfectly thin and crisp. Great bites every time PRICE: 4/5 - our total came out to $44.89 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - we were also initially going to get a paneer tikka masala too, but our waitress advised us that our dosas would be enough lol, which was accurate SERVICE: 4/5 - Dosa Hut was almost full when we walked in at ~3pm on a Tuesday, though I imagine partly because of the downpour of rain at the time. Glad there was still a table for two for us! Our food came out 15-20min after ordering ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - a bright, busy, and medium-sized space PARKING: 5/5 - plenty of parking in this plaza

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was great, the vibes felt very authentic Indian and there were plenty of seatings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We observed families coming out and all enjoying dosa for dinner. This time we decided to be a bit adventurous and try things out of the traditional dosa and it didn't live up to the flavors. The pakoras were great and the salt lassi was refreshing. The bullet dosa, I believe was okay, wasn't as exciting to eat and the condiments on the side were bland and bitter. The uttapam was tasty in its own and so was the potato mashed bhaji. The other thing is the dishes come out piping hot one at a time and we had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down. The pani poori was interesting but the flavors just weren't meeting expectations.

I'm a big fan of this little Indian Restaurant specializing in both Southern and Northern Indian dishes. As the name conveys, there are numerous types of Dosa's on the menu; Indian Chat served cold, a variety of hot appetizers as well as $10:95 luncheon specials and a bevy of main dish. My Mulligatawny Soup was quite different than I've had in the past, it was solid and full of flavor; my wife's sambar was likewise an excellent choice with a nice spice note. I am anxious to return and explore other selections on their rather extensive menu. Service was professional, yet friendly, courteous and efficient. We couldn't have been happier with our dining experience.

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch. Their lunch special was more than enough food and we ordered and appetizer. Food was left on our plate after we were completely full. Our meals included: Channa Masala, Palak Paneer, Dosa, Idly, Vada and a sweet treat. Would fully recommend. Great good!

We have visited here twice, we aren't locals but we were passing by the first time and came across this place, and WHAT A HiT! Since we live in Jersey, we have been raving to come back to this place for 1 dish and 1 dish only. Their MUST TRY THEIR MALGUDI DOSA (I prefer the cheese - but it's ofc available without) . Aside from this dosa, we have tried their mango lassi and chikko shake which were good as well. We recently visited them after a 2 years gap. But the taste is as amazing and delicious. Please do try them out if you're in the area, we would definitely be regulars if we were nearby. Happy eating!

They have a few non-alcoholic drink options. As someone who's living the sober lifestyle, it's always nice to see that. The restaurant is well managed and well maintained. Always clean, servers seem invested. It doesn't hurt to make a reservation if you're coming on a Friday or weekend night. Chicken is the star of the show here, and we almost always order that with some of the ala carte sides, but my wife also likes to grab something else off the menu and I'll usually sneak a bite. We've never had anything that fell below expectations.

First of all, the décor is very pretty, with a thatched roof/tiki bar-like design at their small bar, painted designs and artwork on the walls, pretty light fixtures, sculptures, and Tiffany style glass. There is plenty of room between the tables, so you really have a sense of privacy and are not crowded at all. I love Thai food, and I loved my lunch. I ordered a small Coconut Tom Yum soup ($6), and it was a10/10. It had the coconutty mildly spiced hot and sour flavor I love and was loaded with chicken, A big bowl of just that soup would have been enough for my munch any day of the week. I also ordered their Spicy Eggplant with Squid ($18) stir-fried with bamboo shoot, snow peas, string beans, carrots, bell peppers and basil leaves in spicy basil sauce. It was served with a side of white rice. It was a great example of why I love Thai food because the flavor was fantastic. The portion was big enough that we brought home half for another day. Now, as far as we experienced, the real clunker here was the service. Perfunctory, unsmiling, non-engaging, robotic are words that come to mind. What a shame, because just a little effort really would have made a big difference.

Wish they left it off or put it in the side so we could have enjoyed the Calamari itself. 4. Sweet Potato Ravioli... the actual ravioli was good. Loved the filling. Food: 3.8/5 Service: 3.4/5…read moreAmbiance: 3.7/5 Value: 3.6/5 The Charles is a nice upscale restaurant on Main Street in Wethersfield which opened in 2020 and quickly made Connecticut magazine's list of best restaurants. It is inside an old house of some sort, so it has a charming ambiance. They have a small parking lot so the spaces are a bit tight. Then, although we were on time for our 8:15pm reservation, we found out that they didn't have a table for us on the main floor, which is bad because my parents have mobility issues and cannot climb stairs. They asked us if we would be ok waiting five or ten minutes. Sure, that was fine we said. The host was very reassuring and he let us know that the corner table near the fireplace was finishing up and he'd get it bussed promptly. So that was good. But after we sat down we experienced service issues. Many items were unavailable. No orrechiete. No crab cakes. No sirloin special. It was weird. We hadn't arrived that late, on a Saturday night, how could so many dishes be sold out/unavailable? We ended up going with the scotch egg $11 and butternut squash arancini balls $12 for appetizers, which were both great. The scotch egg was a decent size and came with a mini salad. The arancini balls were small, but the truffle gorgonzola fontina cheese filling was really nice. Entrees were not bad. My Berkshire pork chop cooked medium was tender enough and had decent flavor. My Dad's veal ribs over mac and cheese were really good. My Mom's wagyu burger was tasty and my sister's salad was satisfactory. However the cost of the additional protein to the salad seems high (Grilled Chicken +14 / Seared Salmon +16/ Grilled Shrimp +21 / Churrasco Steak +24). The drinks were well made, but took a while to get to us. The "Charles... In Charge!" with old forester bourbon, montenegro, spiced cherry bitters, luxardo $15 was a hit. My Dad enjoyed his $17 Manhattan made with Angel's Envy bourbon. My $11 FreeBird mocktail was refreshing. Yet, throughout the night we found it difficult to get our server's attention. All four dishes did not arrive simultaneously. We had to flag someone down for more silverware after the appetizers were cleared. Right at the end when we were ready to pay, she got tied up listening to a couple at a neighboring table tell her a story or something. This must have been quite a yarn because she was totally enrapt and oblivious to our needs. We started wondering whether our table was actually her responsibility or not. Finally she came by and we let her know we were done, no dessert or after dinner drinks, just the check and a few boxes for takeout please. This was a new restaurant that we hadn't tried before, and maybe I took a risk by booking it for my Dad's 89th birthday, which was supposed to be special. Our experience was okay, and maybe we'd go again in the future, but there were too many more ups and downs this evening than I would have liked for a special occasion. I am rounding up to four stars overall, even though on this particular evening I didn't think each individual component met that mark exactly.
