We've been here a couple of times now and it has been a pretty good experience each time. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the staff is always friendly and the food is quite tasty. They have a fun assortment of salsas with seasoned chips and their guak is delicious. For this latest trip we happened upon their brunch hour which was great because I didn't even know they did brunch and I couldn't love anything more than tasting a new breakfast burrito, lol! Of course we started with some afternoon bevvies, their Bloody was pretty tasty as was the house marg. Then onto the guak which was great, loved the seasoned chips. My BF ordered the Tinga, Barbacoa and OMFG tacos and he said they were all pretty good. I think the OMFG was his least favorite because it just had too many flavors that he couldn't taste the tuna but still good... I had The Donkey Tonk (breakfast burrito) with bacon and it was delicious. I think I would order with sauce on the side next time but that is just a me thing, I don't love smothered stuff because I don't love sogg and I really love to taste the tortilla. Really delicious and filling though and their bacon is on point. I was dying I was so full but of course made sure to get all the bacon out, lol. Overall impression: delicious, a little pricey, great outdoor ambience. Guak was great. Salsa had a rich, smokey chipotle flavor which was also delicious. Favorite tacos were the OMFG (literally OMFG, stole the show, best taco of the night), cremini mushroom, and the monthly special (a fish taco). Steak taco was ok. Passion fruit and thyme margarita was potent and delicious. Outdoor seating was lovely and staff were prompt, courteous, helpful, and all around great. It seemed like the music was a bit loud indoors, but would need to sit there for a full meal to fully know. We will definitely be back! read more

We got there when they first opened, music was blaring (in a good way), we had our choice of where to sit and our waitress was on top of it. We ordered a few different tacos and they were outstanding. I loved the mushroom one, I know, sounds weird but it really was delicious!! The steak had a wonderful flavor to it and was nice and tender. Overall, I would go back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE HIBISCUS MARGARITA!!! Dos Santos's is only 3 stars for me, meaning a-ok. I wasn't overly impressed by the tacos I tried and they no longer do taco Tuesday. A co-worker raved about how great it was and I just don't get it. Prices were steep and the quality of chewy carne asada I received should be in the price point of $2 and not $4.50 per taco.. that's right, $4.50. Service was average, even at lunch time when the restaurant was only half full. Enjoyed the outside patio tables though, maybe I will just come for the guacamole and a margarita next time. read more

Love this food but unfortunately the service is where I have to say farewell. The place is nice and looks rustic but I get tired of looking at the wall and not at my food. Its almost as if they seat you then attend to everything but the tables. Great service from everyone- especially Devanta who is a fabulous ray of sunshine. :) Fastest arrival of food on the planet! I swear I only just thought about my next taco, and it was there. Truly mysterious how quickly food arrived. Happy fun place, deeelicous hibiscus mezcal margs, very yummy creative taco options, and also loved the classic crispy ground beef option (the fanciest version of my nostalgic childhood comfort food). I also love to order small bites until I'm full- and still don't have any leftovers. This spot is perfect for that very specific plan of mine. Love it! Was excited to try this place tonight as I just moved into the area but was bummed with my experience. We ordered everything at once as soon as we sat down because we were starving. Got the appetizer right away but with no plates, napkins, or silverware. They were the meaty chips so it was a bit gross to navigate them w our fingers. We had to ask the host for napkins because our server was no where to be found. Waitress checked in at the 30 minute mark saying the kitchen was busy which is understandable. Once an hour had passed we flagged down the waitress and she said probably ten more minutes. At that point, we just left. Some advice I would give - let us know that you are slammed and food is going to take a while before we sit down. Check in with us and maybe offer chips. The only reason she did offer chips was after we were clearly frustrated and at that point it was too late so we went to Qdoba instead. read more

Visited twice on a recent trip to Denver. My sister in law recommended Dos Santos and boy was she right. I absolutely lover the ahi tuna nachos and tinga chips. Both are great options to munch on while having a nice chat. They were extra good paired with a nice margarita. As for mains, we tried different tacos and each one was as wonderful as the previous. Chicken, Steak, Mushrooms, OMFG. Truly lovely. Not cheap, but the high level ingredients and vibe is totally worth it. Patio seating was my favorite. My friends and I wandered in while exploring the area and looking for a nice spot to have some drinks. I am so glad we did because the drinks here did not disappoint and were delicious! Unfortunately we did not order any food because we were still full from the brunch we had prior to coming to Dos Santos. A crisp tostada topped with ceviche style shrimp, avocado slices, cucumber, radish, slaw, crema and sauce. Delicious! I then had the steak taco in a lettuce wrap which came recommended by Mr. Waiter. Fantastic, crisp and soooo decadent. My hubby ordered the fried fish taco which he loved the most, steak taco and chicken tinga taco. All of this was devoured alongside chips and queso which was unique. It was like a spicy cheese and cream cheese mix with a saucer of pepita salsa as well and their house made chili rubbed chips. Smaller place but very big flavor! I had a Tommy's House Margarita, served in a jar with sugar not salt :) very good and strong. Ordered the chips and salsa with a side of guacamole to start with. Not a fan of the chips, weird seasoning that was all over them.... very spicy and not in a good way. Unfortunately no plain chips here, to bad cause the salsa and guacamole are really good. Had to get the tacos, went with the Porky, Tinga and the Del Mar (shrimp) They were all very good and tasty but the Del Mar was so good we had to order another one and split it!! Kelly had this place bookmarker before we even departed for Denver. Kudos to her for pointing us in the right direction for our first meal in Denver! The interior is quite small, but they sure do pack in people. They also have an outdoor gated patio. I would never think to bring kids here, but soo many young couple brought their kids from tiny toddlers to about 10.... I mean it,.... So many kids here. I was shocked! Anyhow, I was dying to try their guac. Unfortunately I did not find it enjoyable. Mostly because the chips that accompany it have a smoky spicy taste. I did ask the server if plain chips were available, but to no avail. I really felt these smoky chips ruined the experience of both the salsa and the guac. Ended up eating the rest of the guac with a fork. =( Honestly the guac wasn't the impressive either. All the yelp photos I had been checking out looked amazing. Order 4 tacos: Tinga, Del Mar (fried shrimp), Porky, and Arrachera (steak). Del Mar = AMAZING!!!! Nom Nom! Tinga = the most disappointing Porky = pretty good Arrachera = Just ok In the future I want to try the O.M.F.G.: Raw tuna, lime cilantro aioli, pickled onion, avocado, cabbage, bib lettuce tortilla. Happy Hour all day on Mondays! $4 drinks (margarita, Paloma, mule, tequila shot). I definitely recommend the Paloma. Made with San pelligrino sparkling white grapefruit juice and a salted rim. Delicious, strong, and easy to drink. I'm a big fan of their chips (thin, crispy, and heavily spiced with chili powder) and classic guacamole. So good! Just needs a little salt. The tacos are so incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. The chicken Tinga are out of this world tender and juicy and spicy. The steak taco has so many amazing flavors going on and tons of bright citrus. The vegetarian taco is always rich and earthy; the Del mar crisp and fresh. And the cotija cheese adds that perfect amount of salt and cool relief. Oh! Don't forget the eskites (little grilled corn on the cob pieces with tons of lime, cotija cheese, and spices). They're phenomenal every time. Great little patio, comfy bar inside, stellar prices for food made with care. I was in Denver for work & had the chance to grab dinner with a friend who lives in the area. Dos Santos was a suggestion from one of her friends - I am so happy we had the chance to stop here. We ordered guacamole - was nice and chunky, had great flavor and was incredibly fresh. Wish there was a little more! For dinner I got three tacos - Del Mar, Cochinita Pibil & Tinga - they were on the smaller side but were pretty packed. I would say if you're having this for dinner 3 is a great starting point. But if just a snack, one or two would be more than enough. I ordered the Del Mar with the fish instead of shrimp and it was so delicious. I'm sure the shrimp would have been just as tasty. Gentrification wrapped in a stale tortilla. This is the first time leaving a bad review but these are by no exaggeration, the worst and over priced tacos I've had in my life. $60 for four teeny (like stupidly teeny) tacos and bad margarita, feels like a small hate crime. Korean beef taco was tough and soaked in soy sauce. Tinga taco was bad. The pork was o k but still quite tough. I just realized that I never followed up my photo posts with a review which is a gaffe on my part as these are delicious tacos! I love trying vegetarian versions predominantly meat centric dishes. I am not a vegetarian but love the creativity of a vegetable being cooked in unique ways. The carrot mole tacos were awesome; packed with flavor and multi dimensional texture. I ate two and could have easily done two more. The Del Mar was pretty bland. We found the two "super hot" house made hot sauces to be super mild. The house made Bloody Mary was both unique and delicious, but only came with a lime and was tiny. It's annoying how they bring the tacos out on one platter, especially when there's multiple people in the group and you have to figure out which taco is which.
