A very pleasant surprise! There is outdoor seating and plenty of indoor seating here and you can seat yourself. We were attended to and served quickly. Our waitress had a lot of energy and was very nice. I had a sweet tea to start which was good and the waitress brought out chips and salsa. The salsa verde was delicious (very hot but good). The chips were also good and fresh. My Chimichanga was delicious, I devoured it. The filling was rice, fajita chicken, and cheese. The refried beans were not good to me, they reminded me of grade school so I topped those with salsa verde. Overall, I enjoyed the food though. The vibe inside was laidback. Many conversations going on and they have a bar with TVs. I would definitely come back for a bite to eat if i'm nearby. Have gone to Dos salsa's hundreds and hundreds of times in the 24 years I've been living in Georgetown and we'll keep going as long as they are open. My daughter and I went there yesterday for her birthday and she left her birthday card at the booth packed with $200 in cash that I had given her. The next day she called the place in a panic asking if they had found the birthday card and indeed they had. When she came to pick it up every single cent of that money was in the card. We have always enjoyed the staff at Dos Salsas because they are quick, professional and friendly. Now it is confirmed that they are extremely honest as well. Well done dos salsas !!! read more

When we moved to Georgetown 20 years ago our realtor took us to Dos Salsas while we were house hunting. She said she and her husband ate there at least once a week, and that it was the best in Georgetown. We learned that she was right, and now we have been eating there for 20 years. For the last several years we have eaten at Dos Salsas every single Sunday when in town. For two reasons. We think it is the best Tex Mex in Georgetown, and anywhere else, for that matter. Our families and friends from across the country always want to "go to Dos Salas." I am taking adults, children, young adults, every body. Last year when we had friends from Pennsylvania we took them there, and then one night we planned to go to an upscale restaurant for dinner, but the they said, "We'd prefer to go back to Dos Salsas." But in addition to the food it is Ara, our server, who keeps us coming back. She is the best, takes superb care of us, and is always cheerful regardless of other circumstances. We selected Dos Salsas to cater our family's memorial service for my son in law, with 90 guests. The staff was very professional, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. We selected mixed fajitas with all the trimmings ( guac, pico, tortillas), cheese enchiladas, refried beans, rice, chips and salsa. Haven't been here since before Covid. Stopped for later lunch 1:30 today. Opted for plastic enclosed outdoor patio which was full but not crowded. Very few customers indoors. Probably was a bit too windy but fresh air felt good. Service was ok. 1 waiter for @10 tables. Had chips and 2 salsas on the table to munch while we reviewed the enormous menu. Salsas were spicy but really fabulous. Ordered the Queso appetizer which was served hot. Server probably should have refreshed the chips but didn't. Queso had some meat in it and scoop of fresh guacamole. Meat was flavorless and could have been left out. Guacamole was very tasty. Entrees were chicken fajita enchiladas with tomatillo sauce and pork mole Both were served with rice and refried beans and the pork had corn tortillas as well. Chicken was a chopped up grilled chicken breast wrapped in the tortillas but no seasoning and nothing else inside the tortilla. Not much of the tomatillo sauce so kind of blah. Expected to have sautéed green peppers and onion when it was chicken fajita enchiladas. Pork Mole had a much richer flavor and was good. Server brought more chips with the entrees which we ended up taking home with the leftover queso. No offer to refill my iced tea during the meal but was attentive to bring another beer. Overall good but food was not as flavorful as I remembered. Prices obviously have gone up but at a level equivalent to competitors. Parking still is very challenging. Wouldn't rush back. read more

Pretty good Tex-Mex food! Prices are fair enough and taste is good. I almost always get the enchilada trio plate, memitos or memos plate. The beef fajitas are great too. I've never eaten in store but service seems fast, at least for take out. Ambiance is as you'd expect from a Tex Mex place that isn't a Chuys or Trudy's. read more

You know how you don't miss something until it is gone? Like you realize now how much you liked fans at a NHL or MLB game. Or, your youth. Or toilet paper during Covid. That's how I felt about Dos Salsas after our 'rona separation. I missed their margaritas (with a hit of Grand Marnier). I missed the atmosphere. The friendly greetings. I don't really sit down for supper there. And I don't need to. They have such a wonderful appetizer and side dish menu I always just popped in for a drink and for the atmosphere. The queso is good. The guacamole is great. Their people are friendly and warm. The environment is comfortable. Then, it went away. I'm so glad they're back. The location is great for a quick stop downtown (I remember when there used to be an arcade there in the early 80's). Swing by and try. It is DEFINITELY a great place to visit. I absolutely love this place. It is fun and the staff are great. Drinks and food are amazing and anytime Alex born in 1996 is at the bar you are sure to get a good Mexican martini!!! Pretty solid place. Four stars no doubt about it. I have been to this restaurant twice and I have to say it's quite good. I definitely stop in when I'm in the area visiting with clients. It's kind of the go to their in Georgetown. Food : I think the first time I got there be fajitas which were really good. I think this time actually I got to be fajitas again now that I think about it. I remember they brought out some tortilla soup which was really good. I was going to get a tamale play but when I asked the server if the tomatoes were homemade she said no. I said OK will where do they come from. She said she had no idea I said OK that has to be the first time someone has ever told me they had no idea where the food came from. I'm assuming they must come from a can I'm not sure but they are not homemade so therefore I did not get the tamales. I will give them this though the beef fajita tacos are very fresh and quite good. Customer service: customer service is pretty good but let me tell you right now the parking situation here is terrible. I have been very lucky to get Park and the two times I've been there but parking is scarce. The space is fill up fast and I'm really not sure what to do if there's not parking because there's no pay parking nearby. Other than that stop and give them a try. read more

I'm shocked this place is rated so low. We stopped in for the first time tonight. Margarita was strong and tasty. Queso and food was delicious. Service was good. Our server was definitely busy but we didn't have to wait for anything. He was nearby so we were able to flag him down when we were ready for our check. It wasn't a big deal for us. It's been a while since I have been here. The food is good and the drinks are also good. I had the Mexican martini and my friend the frozen margarita. She ordered the Monterrey chicken and I got the ceviche. I feel the issue is the prices. I feel that the food was good but not great for what we paid. I enjoyed my Mexican martini though, but to come here just for drinks is just not the place. Not my favorite, but not horrible either. I've been to both locations. The one in cedar Park is much bigger and have a bigger selection of drinks, still a little overpriced. read more

Had another fine breakfast at Dos Salsas in Georgetown today. It is a fun place to meet up with the family for good food and great service. Whether it is Celso, Faviola, Catalina or one of the other terrific servers, we always know we will be well taken care of. My wife enjoys the Huevos a la Mexicana, but my go to is the Spicy Poblano Omelette (and I have them add Chorizo). Looking forward to seeing everyone there next time. read more

First time at the Georgetown location and it did not disappoint. Tortilla chips came out fresh and warm with green and red salsa. A little spicy for me but hubby liked them, he favored the red salsa. We both had enchiladas with rice and he has black beans too. We both enjoyed our orders (see pictures) very much. Shout out to our waitress Angie who was very attentive and friendly!! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the establishment needs and good cleaning and update but don't let it stop you from eating here. Food was muy bunea!! We came here for lunch on a Monday and the four of us enjoyed everything. Chips came with red and green salsas and they kept them filled. I ordered the Ceviche Tostado app. It was tasty and there was enough for lunch for one. Everyone else got enchiladas, and all plates were cleaned off. Staff was attentive. Drinks were good. I can't complain about anything. I will say that the parking lot is very small, so street parking is necessary. We didn't have to walk too far, but I'm not sure what it is like on a weekend, or at night. read more

Dos Salsas what has happened to you? We went for an early lunch. Seated immediately. We had not been in awhile. The dirty sticky menu was placed on the table. My husband commented that he guessed they no longer had a lunch offering. We ordered off the menu given to us. When our food arrived I heard 2 other tables ask for the "lunch menu" and were brought a smaller version of the one we had. Of course our order was already placed with the kitchen. When our server came back I asked if there was a lunch menu. He made a face and went an retrieved it. The chicken Flautas and chicken enchiladas were tasteless and the chicken was stringy -- obviously a cost cutting measure. The guacamole was good and chips/hot sauces also good.
