A group of about 12 of us came here unannounced after a funeral service. We were seated at 1 big table and our server was able to balance everyone perfectly. Drinks were never empty and the orders were delivered exactly the way they were ordered. I had the chile relleno and taco lunch special. The poblano pepper used was huge and flavorful, the taco was stuffed to the rim. A mexican restaraunt in a small town, that did a great job of taking care of a tough group. read more

DOS Primos - Mexican Near Me - Potosi, Missouri

Food was fire, got the Pollo Gourmet with shrimp and i have no complaints, at least not yet i may have a major one in 30 minutes. The servers were lowkey funny, one of them clocked my friend after he ordered a burger at a Mexican restaurant. There was one guy with a shirt saying "MAKE AMERICA GODLY AGAIN" and a discord mod at another table, but that somehow kind of added to the vibe. read more

Some of the best Mexican food ever. Big portions and tasty dishes. Highly recommend.

My second favorite Mexican joint in the world! Customer service is awesome, funny, and always so fast. The food is excellent and it's got an awesome ambience inside the store. So much fun to eat and drink there. read more

Horrible service, we had a group of 4 and neither one of us had anything good to say about this restaurant. If you would like to get treated like a human being, definitely not the place. read more

Great food good service but needs some updating in the building. But overall it is a nice little place to eat.

Tres Bueno, food is awesome as always, prompt, courteous service, and they always treat you like family. They keep it nice, comfortable, and tidy inside, and you could definitely want to stay longer. Worth yourtime, anytime. read more

Upon entering, the first thing I heard were workers speaking in Spanish, so I knew the food would be good. I asked for an horchata, unfortunately, they don't serve it. So, I ordered a coffee instead. I ordered carne asada for my meal which took maybe 10 minutes. Little too much fat for my liking, but it was still good. I actually really enjoyed the onions. The tortillas are homemade, too!! If this restaurant added horchata, I'd bump my review to 5 stars. Horchata is a drink made from rice, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Some places use a powder, but it will never taste as great as made from scratch. Picture of the carne asada. read more

DOS Primos - Carne asada with onions atop, salad, rice, and refried beans. Pretty typical Mexican dish. - Mexican Near Me - Potosi, Missouri

Great little place in Potosi! My husband and I were traveling through Potosi around dinner time. We viewed Yelp to see what was in the area for dinner. We tried one place and it was closed so we tried #2 on the list Dos Primos and so glad we did!! The salsa is amazing and the food excellent. The beans and rice were the best we've had. Normally, we don't eat all the rice and beans and never bring leftover rice and beans home. Not this time!! If you are near Potosi give it a near. read more

This is by faaaaar my favorite Mexican food. We eat at Dos at least 3-4x a month. Great service!

Love Dos! Only Mexican restaurant in potosi. Great food, great service, great drinks and very clean!!! Get the jumbo margarita! A must try in Potosi! read more

Have been to over 20 different Mexican restaurants and this one was so bad I got yelp just for them. Menu was the largest menu I have ever seen it would take you 30 minutes to read it all. The food was terrible (I'm not a picky man) and did not eat half my food. The bathrooms were clean and that's why it can have 1 Star. If your passing through Potosi, don't go here, go to Taco Bell read more

I agree with the other review. It was packed tonight the food was good and service was better than average read more

DOS Primos - mexican restaurant sign - Mexican Near Me - Potosi, Missouri

Let me start off by stating two things, I never give a five star rating but this is as close as I have ever gotten to 5 stars for the type of restaurant. And the second is that I live almost two hours away from it but planning to take my wife here for dinner. I have eaten here twice because I was working in the area. Both times I ate here (different burritos each time) the food was excellent and abundant. The Monster Margaritas were consistently excellent both times. And my coworker's soup the first time (he raved about it) was in a huge bowl, I have never seen this large of a bowl of soup in my life. The second time he ordered the fajitas and had as much leftover as he ate. I have eaten at hundreds of Mexican spots over the years and this one rates very high in my book. Quality of a higher tier restaurant with the price of the average type of place and very large portions. The only downside is the obvious language barrier with most of the employees. read more

Greatest. Margaritas. Ever. If you remember those 3 little words, then life will be grand. They have a jumbo one and it is the size of your head and I know a few Brits who can have 2 of them and feel no pain what so ever. If jumbo isn't your style, they have regular sizes and if you feel like sharing, then a pitcher calls your name. You can get frozen and on the rocks. The chips and salsa are AMAZING! So yummy! Also, they have this green salsa that is yum and their queso dip is muy bien. La gaviota is really good, which is protein, rice and cheese....try it with steak instead of chicken. Also try mashing totilia chips and sans cheese. This is the way a friend likes it. I have the fajita burrito and it is yummy as well. Really, you can't go wrong with this joint either. The service is uber fast and it does get packed at times. They do accept cash and credit and the prices are reasonable as well. Try it and you will be hooked. read more

Best Mexican restaurant in the area! I won't eat at any other! First timers I suggest the shrimp nachos. Get a full order because you'll want to take some home! Or try the El toridado. Soooooo good. Rice with creamy delicious sauce and chicken, steak, jumbo shrimp, and BACON. So so good. Ask for some pico de gallo. Little spicy due to the fresh jalapeños but so good. If you're looking for heat ask for the extra hot salsa. It will definetly crank things up a notch. Really great service, never messed an order up. A nice staff. You should check it out read more

Great food and service. Everybody always has a smile and is super friendly. Food is great and portions don't leave you hungry.

Me and my family tried out Dos Primos tonight and I'm glad we did!! The food was amazing and service was excellent! The portions for the items we ordered were very big and we all had leftovers. I would highly recommend anyone thinking of giving it a try to do so. read more

I've ate at a couple Mexican restaurants in the Southeast Missouri region and this one is by far the best. Their margaritas are definitely the best in the area. Dos is the only Mexican restaurant in Potosi but I have ate at others in neighboring counties and this one is the best in my opinion. read more

We stopped here while passing through town. We had the Dos Primos Taquitos appetizer. It was definitely enough for two. The Taquitos were hot and fresh and came out quickly. The service was fast and friendly and the prices were good. I'll be happy to go back next time we're in town. read more

DOS Primos - El Toriado and it is the bomb-stinkin-diggity!!! - Mexican Near Me - Potosi, Missouri

The service is ridiculously quick and great at remembering your weekly order. The food is good, but not outstanding. Although my mom loves the shrimp salad and there is a grilled chicken that is pretty tasty. We always go for half price margaritas on Wednesdays. read more

Very good shrimp fajita! My wife likes the rio bravo burrito.

Not only did I appreciate the food at this place, but felt the service was excellent. The waiter was more than patient as we tried to decide what to order our first time at the place. Our selections were delivered quickly and proved to be quite delicious. read more

This was one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever been to. The staff we very friendly and very attentive. My husband ordered the lunch chicken fajitas and said they were probably the best he's ever had. He asked for extra pico and shredded cheese and we were not charged for either. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Prompt service and the menu is vast! The food was good. The portions were generous. Great little place!

We live in Potosi now so we have eaten here a few times. I have ordered various things off of the menu from enchiladas, Fish tacos, huevous rancheros, fajitas, etc. I would say that they are about typical for most Mexican restaurants in this area and this far north (being from South Arkansas we are used to a little more authentic than this) but they aren't bad either. My kids don't care for the place though. Wait staff are good and prices are about middle range. read more

Went here for my 21st birthday with my toddler (3 years old), my spouse, my mother, and step father. The menu choice was great and we ordered. We waited, and waited, and finally the food came. Instead of placing my SIZZLING HOT meal in front of ME he placed it in front of my son. He served all the adults, and then 5 minutes later came back with the chicken nuggets we had ordered for my son. The food tasted good, but I was NOT happy with the service. read more

For a basic Mexican restaurant in rural MO, I'd say this place was pretty good. Better than other choices at least and as good as they come at best. Clean, friendly staff, the usual menu choices, good atmosphere and margaritas.... You can't go wrong. read more

Recently tried this place out and it's not bad for Mexican food but I've had better. The red sauce they put over the enchiladas taste like a watered down tomato sauce with no flavor. They also add beans on the enchiladas. The waitstaff is ok depending on who you get. One thing I noticed is if you don't leave a tip or a high enough tip to their liking on the credit card receipt they become rude. read more

This is the best Mexican I have ever had - bar none! I visited there with a friend last night and had the Chicken Chimichanga. Everything was FRESH and DELICIOUS with generous portions. The servers are friendly and conscientious and the restaurant was clean. LOVE IT! read more
