I would highly recommend avoiding this place. My experience was absolutely horrible. First, I accidentally left my phone in the bathroom upon arrival. Within 10 minutes, I realized it was missing and went back to check--only to find it was gone. Given that there were only three customers in the entire establishment, and none of them had entered the bathroom, I became suspicious. Initially, one of the employees (who wasn't even on duty) seemed helpful, but things quickly turned sketchy. After checking the security cameras ( it took them 45 minutes to show me the footage) and leaving the restaurant, We kept calling my phone, and eventually, someone answered--it was the same employee who had been acting helpful. She lied and claimed my phone was inside a menu. However, the menu was just one page, and I never took my phone out while sitting at the bar. Plus, the menu had already been on the counter before I even returned from the bathroom. It was obvious that the staff had my phone the entire time but probably realized they couldn't do anything with it since I could track it using the Find My iPhone app. Beyond the sketchy experience with my phone, the food was overpriced and disappointing. I ordered steak tacos, the meat was overcooked. The happy hour prices were still way too expensive, and the alcoholic drinks tasted like juice with little to no alcohol. The service was equally terrible. The waiter was rude, and there seemed to be a language barrier, which made communication frustrating. It would be helpful if staff members could speak and understand proper English to ensure better service. This was my first and last time visiting this place. 0/10 experience--I will make sure to warn everyone I know to never go here. read more

My friend lived around the area and called me up for some tacos. We got the guac and chips as an appetizer and the waitress also came out with two sauces. I love spicy, so the red sauce was my favorite ! I got the chorizo, fish and bistec tacos and the my favorites was the bistec and my least favorite was the chorizo. Don't go here !!!!!!!!!!!!! By far one of the worst places I have spent money at. The service was HORRIBLE, the food was HORRIBLE, the drinks HORRIBLE. The entire experience was HORRIBLE. I don't even want to go into full detail because I'm soo disgusted. I was told I couldn't wrap up the food I couldn't finish because it was happy hour. The server who had a nasty attitude and couldn't speak good English pointed at the menu which says dine-in only. I was clearly dinning in I ordered a Margarita flight and food. Went in today for a late lunch with my family. It is a cute place in a busy location, honestly I loved the area it is a bit on the gritty side but lots of promise and charm. There is easy parking across the street so it's not difficult to get in. The food was great, I had the Pastor tacos, after the two shots of Don Julio (I couldn't resist), we also ordered some steak, rice and beans, and chicken tacos. First off it shouldn't have taken me so long to write about Dos Maria's being me and my lady have eaten here 3 times already. And on this fourth rendezvous I couldn't even finish my meal before drafting a review in my mind. Our first time there we sat at the bar and due to language barriers the bartender misunderstood my order and gave me the wrong drink. But was waived by the manager who was well dressed and mannered from the door. The ambiance of this establishment has an authentic mexican feel but with a modern city style. As a staff they have great hospitality and are attentive. Waiters are always keeping an eye on the table while not being overbearing with service, and making sure the cups are always filled with water (key). The food is always served fresh and hot and prepared with a nice decor. So far we've had fish tacos, chimichangas, fajitas and calamari which were all delicious and seasoned well. There mixed drinks are good and have a good kick to it, but I'm more of a jamison or tequila straight kinda guy. And if your a tequila person you will appreciate there wall off different kinds. I'm glad to have a spot like this around being i recently had a horrible experience with a Mexican restaurant in Harlem. I must say this spot can be a bit pricey and clear conversation can be a bit of an issue due to the loud music, but who doesn't love some good ol bachata lol. read more

I give it a 4 star only because the waitress was attentive doing her best alone and the place looks nice. This place looks nice and clean. As for the food well it lacked flavor and was a disappointment. We ordered three different dishes which were bland. The cocktail drinks we ordered lacked alcohol felt like we were drinking bitter and sour mix drinks with too much ice. I Wouldn't recommend this place for drinks or food. My boyfriend and I were looking for a lunch spot to go to and we decided to check out Dos Marias. We were pleasantly surprised because the interior of the restaurant was brand new and beautifully set up. The waiter/bartender, Ramon, was beyond nice and accommodating during the whole time and he made sure that we were completely satisfied as well. They have an amazing lunch menu which includes lunch drink specials and a three-course prix menu, which we were very pleased with. I went out on a limb and tried as an app their grasshopper flatbread-I know I winced at the name-but it's a Mexican delicacy and not in many menus. The guac to die for.
