Blackened salmon - lack of flavor and too much tortilla chips on the top
    PeiJen C.

Modern interior design and friendly staff. Chili Verde highly recommended. I am a little disappointed with the blackened salmon/mango cilantro (lack of flavor and too much tortilla chips on top of the salmon). Will try other options next time.

New Mexican restaurant took over the pasta amelino spot. They have indoor and a few outdoor patio seating. Feels like a nice restaurant. Our server was very attentive and gave menu suggestions. Food was all good but a little pricey.

This is a "modern Mexican" spot in downtown Saratoga. We ordered a few margaritas ($14), Tuna Poke Tostaditos ($27), Al Pastor Tacos ($28). Everything was fresh, beautifully plated, and flavorful. The interior is upscale and there is also a nice patio with heaters outside too. The staff are super nice they let us stay past closing - oops!

The food and service were both amazing! I ordered the salsa trio and chips for the appetizer and Carne Asada fajitas for the main course. Both were excellent. The chips are made fresh daily. I'm typically not a fan of pico de gallo salsa but this is probably the only restaurant I'll eat it from especially with the chips. The ambience was great and had a welcoming vibe. I also loved the pictures on the walls. Parking can be kind of difficult to find depending on when you go. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Came to Dos Burros for Valentine's Day dinner. Street parking was quite crowded so we parked in the lot down the hill, which was fairly easy. The restaurant has good ambiance and we got our seats at the corner of the bar. The bartender/server was super friendly and helped us order food, and recommend some delicious dishes. The chips and guac had to be ordered but super thin and crispy chips and creamy guac. Also can get a refill on chips but we didn't want to fill up. The drinks and food were all quite delicious. We got the Chili Colorado and enchiladas, as well as some smaller dishes, and everything was delicious. Service was great. Water was always filled and plates taken away promptly so that there was enough space. They even got us a couple strawberries for Valentine's Day. -1 star because the dessert brownie was not impressive / a bit dry and it was a bit crowded to eat at the bar (tables seem better). We had to keep moving stuff around so that we had space for new plates.

Summary: nice ambience with excellent food and well trained pleasant servers Details: Despite only being open a few months, Dos Burros has seemed to work out all of the new establishment kinks. The patio isn't open yet but the bar and dining room were bustling on a Sat. We made a reservation a week in advance and the latest we could get was 530pm. You'll need a credit card for the reservation and no shows / cancellations are subject to $30 per person charge. On to the food... Tuna poke tostaditos: excellent and the best thing we had. Three mini tostados but you can order a fourth if you're sharing. The chili ponzu kicked it up a notch but was well balanced with the guac and cream. I would eat this every time I go. Mexican shaved corn: very good. A larger than expected portion in a bowl. The aged cotija cheese mixed with the tajin chili seasoning is a great pairing with the roasted corn. Chicken tinga taquitos: ok-ish. A little dry and a bit boring. Wouldn't order again. Enchilada del pobre: very good. We added grilled shrimp. Three mini enchiladas covered with tons of goodness. Lots of interesting cocktails, both traditional Mexican and those from "north of the border". Only silly complaint: shouldn't the donky cake dessert be called burro cake instead? Shoutout to Michaela who was an excellent server.

Wow--it's honestly been a while since we've gone somewhere where almost every dish was great. We've been wanting to try this place ever since my wife's client recommended it, and we finally got the chance last night. Our friend, who has food allergies, ordered the chicken tacos and loved them. We shared the steak and shrimp fajitas (though they could definitely be a little more generous with the sour cream, guacamole, and salsa, Only a small portion came with it). We also ordered the carnitas sliders, tuna ceviche (wish we had gone with the trio!), fresh chips and salsa, and the carne asada nachos....everything was delicious. For dessert, we had the pineapple cake and the flan. Both were good, though the flan was a bit different than expected--not as creamy as I'd hoped, but still tasty. Overall, from the service to the food, we highly recommend this place

Vibes: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Drinks: 4/5 Value: 4.5/5 Brought to you by the geniuses behind Flowers and Hero Ranch, Dos Burros offers flavorful Mexican food with elevated aesthetics. From the hostess to our bartender/waiter, Octavio, the folks working there were warm and genuinely friendly. We chose to sit at the bar as we like the banter, but beware, it's right by the entrance, and it can be chilly. There is one inset booth in the bar area, which I think is THE spot if you prefer the bar action and comfort minus the chill. As for cocktails, I particularly loved their Pinche Picante(5/5). It's a twist on a spicy marg, packing balanced sweetness from the peach and some serious heat from the fire tincture once it goes down. They garnish it with a super fresh lime (you can smell it) and some sort of Tajin-coated, candied fruit. I also tried the No Llaves Guey, but it was more on the sour side. At $14 a pop, you might think you hit a jackpot, but since the cups are filled with a ton of ice, it's actually reasonable. My recommendation is to ask for lite or no ice. For food, we had: -Guac & Chips(4/5): The guac was decent, although it could have used some more Pico and lime for authenticity. The chips were phenomenal. I'm talking thin, crunchy tortillas, dusted with some Tajín and topped with cotija cheese. Not sure if it was an accident or that's how they are served, but I LOVED it. -Asada Ensalada (5/5): This salad puts all the other salads to shame. The veggies were super fresh and crispy. And you get a huge amount of beautifully seasoned, tender steak cubes. It's incredible. -Shrimp fajitas (4/5): Rice was on point. The shrimp were fresh, good quality, and grilled to perfection. The onions were softened while the sweet peppers still retained a bit of their crunch, which made me happy. The fish comes with your choice of flour or corn tortillas. I'd definitely order it again. We had a great time and we will definitely be back with some friends to try more of their dishes. I hope they will maintain the quality, service, and prices, because it's perfect right now.

So happy I decided to try this restaurant out before a concert at Mountain Winery. We were seated at the bar and greeted promptly. The restaurant was empty at 5 pm when we arrived, but quickly filled up with other concertgoers. It was clear that the staff was aware of the concert and made every effort to serve everyone in a timely manner. The bartender was helpful with cocktail recommendations and we really enjoyed our drinks. We ordered steak nachos and Mexican corn. I was impressed with the steak on the nachos which was flavorful and tender. Definitely want to dine here again when we are in the area to try some other dishes.

Tuna poke was a huge hit!

Friendly staff, decent service, and bold fusion flavors. Poke tostaditos was a favorite! Baja shrimp was good! Carna asada fajitas could use some heat/ spice... I'm sure with a bit more time, more attention to service time and sequence ... it'll be great! We had a fun time trying it out... we'll be back. Price is a little steep even for Big Basin Wy....

Public announcement: this place is AMAZING. It's been a while since I've been truly blown away by flavors in the Bay Area--honestly, it's why I usually feel the need to travel just to get that kind of experience. But wow... this spot delivered. My boyfriend and I are heading home beyond satisfied. The French toast was perfect--delicious, not overly sweet, just right. And the carnitas Benedict? Unreal. I was seriously tempted to order a second plate. And the drinks? "The Lizzy" Safe to say, we'll be back.

    Chile Verde
    Florence A.

Outstanding. The prices are on the higher end for Mexican food, but the ambiance and quality of food make it worth it to me. EVERYTHING was delicious: chips, guacamole, chile verde, chicken tacos, shrimp fajitas, house made corn and flour tortillas AND their cocktails are fire - they do not skimp on the alcohol. We were too full to try dessert but will have to do that on our next trip. Service was great and we never felt rushed to leave.

    Christopher L.

Exciting and flavorful dining experience! I'd say the dishes are "fun sized" yet pack a punch of deliciousness most restaurants don't have anymore. Highly recommend for a fun local night out in Saratoga.

I chose carnitas and adobada (that saucy red mole-like one!). The adobada was rich, flavorful, and unique, while the carnitas, although a bit dry, had a nice smokiness. The sweet bite of the onions really balanced the tacos--maybe a touch more cilantro and onions next time. + Kat's carnitas burrito was bright red and juicy (I found it perfect, even if she thought it was a tad dry). I think they put some similar yummy sauce as the adobada. Generous portion, meaty, and delicious. + Will's carne asada quesadillas were cheesy and tender. He found them bland, but I thought they were fine. Plus, the generous guac portion (even if it needed a squeeze of lime) was a nice touch. + The salsa bar deserves a shout-out. Mixing the spicy corn-bean blend with hot salsa and pico de gallo? That's a flavor bomb right there. - Carne asada nachos, while generous, fell flat. There was also quite a generous portion of guacamole along with sour cream. My only complaint is the meat lacked that smokiness or char of most asadas. It felt bland--almost taste boiled. The sauce was tasty, tomatoey and spicy, and it was chock full of mussels, squid, sooo many shrimp, a whole filet of fried fish, and other goodies - unfortunately most of the seafood was pretty dry/overcooked. It came out to about $60 for the two of us. Overall, the mocajete was fun to try, but I think next time I'd try some tacos or a burrito if I were to come back.
