We came here on a Sunday evening to have dinner and a cocktail. It was absolutely lovely sitting outside. They have a covered area and a few uncovered tables. We were attended to immediately after sitting down. I ordered the Chimichurri hangar steak tacos. So good! I also had a vodka soda. They have so many varieties of tacos, can't wait to go back. Mind you there is only street parking. If you go around near the plaza and post office, you're sure to find parking.

Zona Rosa has gotten much better over the years bc I actually used to dislike it. I love their smoked cashew dip & shrimp tacos. Our waitress was really nice and the ambiance is great for going out with the girls. A great place for dinner & drinks. For those complaining about price for just "tacos" consider that this is an upscale Mexican spot and not a taco truck, it's nice to have upscale ethnic spots and Mexican food is not equivalent to cheap food. They are buying nice ingredients, the purple corn tortillas are clearly homemade, and the sauces are also homemade.

Great place for more authentic Mexican cuisine especially tacos. Everything is made fresh. Tried the 5 taco platter to share and the hangar steak was the best. Had a horchata, esquitas and everything was great. Friendly and enjoyable service.

I would give it a 3.5 if possible. Ambiance is great as the decor indoor is cute but outdoor seating on a good day is also very nice. Service is mediocre for me because both waitress and waiter were very nice and informative. The waitress provided us with recommendations and gave us information about dishes. However, it took forever for all of the dishes to come out. . Didn't seem like the restaurant was particularly bustling so service was pretty slow for what it was. The dishes were pretty good but nothing that blew me out of the park. I feel like I've been to similar restaurants with better portions and same flavor for less. Disclaimed: The tacos came in two. You have to order an extra if you want more.

We had a nice meal sampling lots of different things. Ceviche, goat cheese app and taco platter. Loved most everything and the fresh chips and shells.

Stopped by for breakfast while in the area. The restaurant was bright inside with natural lightning to provide a welcoming atmosphere. The server was very friendly and helped clarify questions I had about the menu. I ordered the Enchiladas Suiza which had tons of flavor and was the right portion size. Ordered the chips and guacamole with pistachios and bacon added on. It's a game changer for the dip and gives it a nice twist.

The food simply good. If you're craving great Mexican food this is the spot. The tacos use fresh blue corn tortillas and a variety of fresh ingredients. The guacamole is outstanding. The table favorite was the crab ceviche tostadas. Simple delicious. Service was great.

The ambiance here is great- it's fun and lively and modern. The service was really good for how understaffed the restaurant was. There was only one server- with every table inside full and one outside- that's 11 tables. So we had to wait a good while to be greeted. But the server was hustling and he was on it after that. The food was good but nothing great. The enchiladas and fish taco were lacking in depth of flavor BUT the salsas from the tres salsa we ordered as an appetizer brought everything up a notch. Highly recommend getting the tres salsas as a starter to snack on and enhance your main course. We even mixed all three salsas together and it was really tasty. The perfect margarita definitely hit the spot. It was beautiful and tasted great. The candied orange slice was also a sweet treat. Yum!

Had dinner here again recently with friends and the experience was better this time. We stayed away from the nachos and had the bean dip instead - and that was a great choice. Very tasty. We also had the Esquites (grilled and seasoned corn) and that was very good too. For dinner, the four of us shared an assortment of chimichurri tacos and salmon. They were reasonably good - but would have preferred more of the sauces on the tacos. Overall, we had a nice dinner and we would come back.

Food, drinks and staff have always been solid and consistently great but my evening tonight topped it all. After my friend left, I ordered food to go and a drink, went to the bathroom. The bartender was so fast.. but noticed I was alone so she kinda hid my drink until I got back. Then a little later I got sad because of a recent loss of a loved one. I was quiet, calm but this amazing woman noticed and checked on me. ‍ if I didn't love this place enough already, my stars tonight touched my heart. Thank you

I'm down for a place that named their restaurant after a dog. I appreciated that the chip basket wasn't huge - therefore we didn't over eat before our meal came. I ordered iced tea, and unfortunately, it was from the fountain, not fresh brewed, so I asked for a soda instead. This is one of the reasons I docked them 1 star. Salsa was decent, but the chips were a mix of stale and not stale. I am not sure how that happened, but I think they could improve their chips greatly - especially if they are mixing older ones with newer ones. I prefer light crispy thin chips and these were thicker. Food was really good - I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco with rice. My partner had shrimp fajitas. The fajita portion was incredibly generous and my tacos were great. If I came back, I would hold the sauce, because I don't like creamy sauce slathered on my tacos. The rice was the highlight of the meal - it was perfection. The interior of this place is fresh, modern and clean - not something you get very often in a sit-down Mexican restaurant, so I was a huge fan. Service was attentive, even though we were at an odd time, well after lunch but before dinner.

That said, the timing and service were a different story. It was a slow Sunday evening, yet the wait for our food took much longer than expected. Our server was friendly, but when the fajitas arrived, only the shrimp was brought out. The chicken I ordered was forgotten. I politely mentioned it, and when the chicken was brought out, it came out extremely smoky--so much so that our entire table and nearby tables were coughing. It sizzled a bit too aggressively at first, which wasn't very pleasant, though it eventually died down and I was able to enjoy it. For dessert, I ordered the churros. I believed the menu indicated they came with vanilla ice cream, but they were served with whipped cream instead, and the churros themselves were hard rather than soft, which was another disappointment. I'm giving three stars because the food itself was delicious. The experience was just impacted by service delays and a few execution issues.
