Just like the Cass Lupe on Bernardo in Sunnyvale, this one loves up to the name. Miguel branched off on his own and it's just as good as the original. What I like about this location is that it has an outdoor front patio area to eat and there are a few different things, most notably is the salsa. Still have the red, but now they have green which is pretty good. Service is also just as good as Sunnyvale location. Always attentive. Def check this one out if you are in the area. I believe the hours are the same as well

Chile Verde dinner with rice & refried beans

Average Mexican food. Chile verde dinner was ok. Pork was hard and overcooked and super dry. Chicken enchiladas were overcooked and dry. Tortillas were good and the service was great.

Awesome food! So delicious! Ordered the Carne asada plate Chicken Mole plate Shrimp tacos plate Chili Relleno Ala carte All to go. The food was just as delicious as the other Casa Lupe located in Campbell! Please see pictures below and let your eyes do some feasting. The people were super friendly as usual for Casa Lupe and the surroundings were warm and comfortable. Inside there are big screen tvs to watch games on. There are 8 tables outside that look very comfortable to sit at while enjoying food and drink. Great place to visit, enjoy delicious food and drink at. Glad to see we will not have to travel to Campbell now, just down the road from home! Awesome place!!

I'm SO THRILLED they are here and much closer to me. I used to go to Casa Lupe in Sunnyvale all the time and the food is just like that location! But smaller and more cozy. We both got the California Enchilada and it brought back so many fond memories... AND I remember the chips and salsa - homemade chips - thick and tasty with two kinds of salsa. Yes we had to have 2nds on the chips and salsa - it's THAT good. AND I admit - I LOVE eating the beans, enchilada with a bit of sour cream on a chip. It's like a PERFECT bite of flavor and textures!! I recognized the owner from the Sunnyvale location and he's friendly and super nice. I really hope he stays and we definitely will be coming here more often! I have my list of my favorites that I need to go through so I DEFINITELY will be going back...

With so many places leaning toward fast-casual, it was such a treat to find a true sit-down Mexican restaurant. The staff was friendly, fast, and attentive, and the dining area felt cozy, warm, and welcoming. The aroma from the kitchen immediately set the tone for a great meal. My wife ordered the chile Colorado--tender and full of flavor--while I went with a create-your-own combo of chicken tacos, enchiladas, and tamales. Each bite was delicious and well-seasoned. The only reason we didn't give a full five stars was the chips and salsa. The chips were served warm but tasted a bit stale and lacked the crunch we expected. Overall, a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

Fast food is overpriced and unhealthy. So what are your options? Look no further, because Los Pericos (The Parakeets) has one of the best family meal deals in the Bay Area! It's extremely affordable and delicious. The family meals include tacos with your choice of meat, beans (refried or whole), Mexican rice, salsa, and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. They offer four sizes: 1 lb, 2 lb, 3 lb, and 4 lb of meat. They also have fresh carrot and orange juice, which I always enjoy while waiting for my order. The burritos come with a bag of chips, which are home made and well-salted, so don't skip out on the tomato salsa. As a bonus, the staff were all friendly and the tables were clean. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

Food, drinks and staff have always been solid and consistently great but my evening tonight topped it all. After my friend left, I ordered food to go and a drink, went to the bathroom. The bartender was so fast.. but noticed I was alone so she kinda hid my drink until I got back. Then a little later I got sad because of a recent loss of a loved one. I was quiet, calm but this amazing woman noticed and checked on me. ‍ if I didn't love this place enough already, my stars tonight touched my heart. Thank you

I'm down for a place that named their restaurant after a dog. I appreciated that the chip basket wasn't huge - therefore we didn't over eat before our meal came. I ordered iced tea, and unfortunately, it was from the fountain, not fresh brewed, so I asked for a soda instead. This is one of the reasons I docked them 1 star. Salsa was decent, but the chips were a mix of stale and not stale. I am not sure how that happened, but I think they could improve their chips greatly - especially if they are mixing older ones with newer ones. I prefer light crispy thin chips and these were thicker. Food was really good - I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco with rice. My partner had shrimp fajitas. The fajita portion was incredibly generous and my tacos were great. If I came back, I would hold the sauce, because I don't like creamy sauce slathered on my tacos. The rice was the highlight of the meal - it was perfection. The interior of this place is fresh, modern and clean - not something you get very often in a sit-down Mexican restaurant, so I was a huge fan. Service was attentive, even though we were at an odd time, well after lunch but before dinner.

Long overdue since I frequent the place:…read more If you are craving a reliable, no-frills Mexican spot in Cupertino, this place delivers exactly what you hope for and then some. We grabbed three burritos to go, two with adobo chicken and one with the Del Mar fish. Each one was packed generously and full of flavor. The chicken had a nice depth of seasoning, and the fish option felt fresh and well balanced. Portions were more than satisfying. I made a small customization request to shift the cheese from one burrito into mine, and they handled it without hesitation. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food came out quickly. For the quality and size, the pricing felt reasonable. The setting lands comfortably between casual and slightly elevated. It is a step up from a typical taco shop, but still laid back and easygoing. There is seating both inside and outside, which is a nice option, though the patio sits near a somewhat busy street. Parking can require a bit of patience since it shares a strip mall lot with other businesses. Aside from that minor inconvenience, it is a dependable choice for a satisfying burrito, and I would happily come back again. Did I mention the staff have great stories?

Uniquely among the few places in this area I've tried that do have sopapillas, theirs are sometimes hollow so you can put the necessary honey (which comes with) inside. Sometimes. Some are hollow and some aren't. They come 8 to a plate, in the shape of pie slices, and they're quite crisp on the outside. It's pretty good, best of the breed locally, but I still miss the big pillowy ones from New Mexico. For the meal beforehand, I tried the special of corn chowder. This was very plain-tasting but reasonably hearty. Strange salsa bar. The salsas come with shallow wooden spoons with which it's impossible to get a decent quantity of any of the liquid salsas into the little paper cup.

It was relatively empty, with only one other party seated at the time. Service was friendly and quick, and we got our food pretty quickly after ordering. It's got a quaint hole in the wall kind of vibe, but was still clean - though not very air conditioned. We missed it, but there was a salsa bar in the corner near the entrance. We were served complimentary salsa and chips - nice refreshing, tomatoey and lightly spicy salsa. We also got guacamole, which you could tell was freshly made, chunky and refreshing. Glad we got this, because it helped cut through how heavy the molcajete de mariscos we got was. We were NOT expecting how large the mocajete is - this can probably be split across 3 if not 4 people. It comes out boiling hot, and with 3 tortillas, and a side of beans and rice. When we ordered, they asked us if we would want more tortillas since it comes with only 3 - we didn't even finish the 3 it came with. The sauce was tasty, tomatoey and spicy, and it was chock full of mussels, squid, sooo many shrimp, a whole filet of fried fish, and other goodies - unfortunately most of the seafood was pretty dry/overcooked. It came out to about $60 for the two of us. Overall, the mocajete was fun to try, but I think next time I'd try some tacos or a burrito if I were to come back.
