Instead, they can't bother to figure out what 2 simple gutter pieces cost, & wanting to fill the holes w/hydraulic cement (insane), they just list a labor charge, & ask for 10% down, labor & material billed daily, & a credit card on file, I called them to speak to a total incompetent who then hands it over to Dick Hoerr, who called me a "social idiot", and a "moron", & that he'd never do a job for me. As if I would EVER consider a contractor who would call me filthy names & doesn't even know how to do the job. You don't pour 20-30 ft. of hydraulic cement in the holes - you cover the holes with rubber or aluminum & then coat that w/a small amount of hydraulic cement. Then, in his answer to one of the numerous negative reviews, he writes: "We are the highest rated handyman company on Angie's in the United States and we are located here in Chicago. I personally live in the Chicagoland Area. Simply put this is one of those landlords that attempts to beat down labor after they work on his home in an effort to maximize his profit. He says one thing in a review and then did the exact opposite." BEWARE and DON'T USE THEM!

He was also able to work with our HOA to get the docs they needed quickly. The crew he brought did all the work in the time they originally specified and did an excellent job at removing the old deck, refinishing the existing base structure, and then adding on the new Trex. Why ??? ) which led to relentless abuse by countless Chicago seasons and resulted unsightly mold and moss and other gross growths. He was quick to reply with our initial request for a quote and came by the next day to check out the projects. He priced the work reasonably - was quick to complete the work (stained the roof deck, tore out the carpet on the other deck and installed new decking, even dog-proofed it, to boot!), he paid great attention to detail, and did an overall awesome job. We would definitely recommend him to others and would absolutely use him again!

If the customer isn't satisfied, fix it, and you won't have to defend yourself... but defend yourself first, and you lose a customer. Months later, these people have had the gall to call my completely fair review of the poor job they did at my house as "slanderous", called my wife a liar, and would rather fight with customers than own up to their shortcomings. That's what you get when you work with them, apparently, but I have the pictures and the quote they have BEFORE doing the work to challenge all their BS. Not worth your time, or money. Period.

Issues began appearing within the one-year warranty period, including failing grout, cabinet issues, and poor finishing. During construction, my brand-new door was painted over without my approval. When I raised this concern, I was told replacement was "not going to happen" and to "get that out of my head," which I found unprofessional and dismissive. I was advised by the company's partner, Abel, that there was a full one-year warranty. I did reach out to him before the warranty expired, but received no response. Instead of addressing the concerns, the owner, Shannon, took issue with who I contacted, refused to come out to inspect the work, labeled visible defects as "wear and tear," and ended communication without offering a resolution. For the amount paid, I expected accountability, professionalism, and warranty support. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
