The staff were very friendly as I went to pick up my Too Good To Go order! The standard box was $5 and they gave me the choose to upgrade to the larger box for an additional $2. As a thank you to my brother & his family for letting us crash at their home, we decided to treat them with some doughnuts. This store happened to be the closest one and I'm so glad it was. It's a small location with very small parking so just be aware you might be parking in the back or on the street & walking a bit. But it's worth it. The interior is clean and nice. Very 'hip' feeling. You know you're not getting your average doughnut from the second you walk in. While this place does have your standard fair of glazed, sprinkles, etc, it's clear they specialize in more premium doughnuts. It was tough to pick out just a dozen for us to try out. They all looked so amazing. The employee behind the counter was very patient with us while we tried to make our selection. What made it tougher was that they kept bringing out new styles the whole time! I guess if you're here right at opening you might miss out. All of the doughnuts are cooked to perfection. And they're all incredibly rich. I'm glad we got a variety because most of us took 2 or so pieces of each and moved on. I would've had a stomach ache in all the right ways had I just picked one. Being able to go from the richness of the peanut butter cup one to the freshness of the strawberry shortcake one really worked to our advantage. My brother said that this place will now becoming their special treat doughnut shop. I don't blame them. I definitely will be returning here the next time we're visiting them. I was craving some Vietnamese coffee and stumbled upon this place as it was closest to me. I ended up ordering a peanut butter cup donut and Vietnamese coffee. Let me tell you, this was worth it! First off I have been coming here since 2021 and I loved this place. However the prices here are getting ridiculous with nothing significantly different. Kronut bites are my favorite they used to be amazing now they taste about the same as regular donut holes for almost 3x the price. I will be looking for more mom and pop shops going forward. Sweet little spot from the food to the service. It's a multi one stop shop. You have the bakery, donuts, coffee and boba store. We opted for the jalapeno croissant, warmed up a lil bit and it was perfectly heated, melted gooey cheese inside with the turkey and a perfect amount of jalapeno slices on top to give it a little kick. I love this place for their milk tea!!! I always get the mango milk tea because it's so fresh tasting. They actually blend tea with mango flavors instead of just adding syrup and milk. I've also tried the coconut which is good (it has a nice artificial coconut flavor) but I can't stop coming for the mango milk tea. I've also tried their donuts which are solid. They have a bunch of different types including mochi, cronut, and the classics. I'm personally not much of a donut person but can't complain. The service is fast and friendly. I've heard through a lot of people (as well as all of these stellar Yelp reviews) that "Donuts & Coffey" is the real deal. And I'm thinking to myself, does Sacramento really need another donut shop? Well let me be the judge of that! Located directly on Folsom Blvd. and tucked in between 56th & 57th St. in East Sacramento, this place opened right at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic back in March 2020. And jump forward over a year later and this place is still running strong. I came here on the morning of Sunday 5/2/2021 at around 11:45am. Parking here can be very challenging as the small parking lot neighbors a cell phone store and a cigarette store. Luckily I was able to park directly in front of the business which made my arrival a breeze. The outside signage makes this place easily distinguishable with yellow lettering that uses the picture of a donut in the first "O" for Donuts and a picture of a cup of coffee (with steam rising) in the the second "O" for Coffey. As I entered, there were only a couple of people ordering their food & beverages. You will find a menu representing some of their signature espresso drinks and another menu that shows their W-Fi password and their link to follow them on Instagram & Facebook. Inside seating was not an option as they were following all safety protocols that were in place. Additionally, all employees were wearing face coverings while there was a clear plastic covering that separated the customers from the employees. During my visit, many of their more popular donuts were gone but I was able to enjoy a plain old fashioned donut. I paired this up with their Iced White Chocolate Mocha. Prices here are VERY reasonable as my donut was only $1.25 while the mocha only costed around $4.25 for a 16 oz. size; far less than most other places. So if you're on a budget on don't wish to dish out over $10 for a quick bite to eat and coffee on-the-go, this is the place to come. After I took my first bite of my donut, I was impressed with the freshness and how soft & moist the flavor was. And after taking a few sips of my white mocha, they absolutely nailed it with the right sweetness of the syrup with the shots of espresso. They also didn't load my cup up with ice which made me enjoy my drink without it being too watered down over time. My recommendation to snag that amazing donut is to come here early because from what I've seen, they have a very respectable amount of unique donuts to choose from. Everything from Cronuts (croissant/donut), Tiramisu donuts, Bavarian Creme donuts, apple fritters, and everything in between. They also make smoothies and boba drinks just in case coffee/espresso isn't your thing. And for those super early birds, they open at 5am and close at 3pm seven days a week. They had a busy morning so when I walked in, I saw a couple donuts, handful of donut holes, and a few croissants left. Good for them, glad to see business is booming! I ended up taking both donuts, luckily they were fun flavors too - tiramisu and raspberry jelly filled! I ordered a Vietnamese coffee for my husband and a jasmine milk tea for myself. The coffee was strong as expected, and just like a Vietnamese coffee should taste! My milk tea was very smooth and creamy. It was perfect to wash down my jelly filled donut, which was PACKED with jelly! Service was very good too. They were personable with other customers that came in also. I've lived downtown for a little over six years now and I've tried both your boujee and hole in the wall burritos here. Donuts & Coffey has thE (capital E) best breakfast burrito in Sacramento. Inside it comes with eggs, hash browns, sausage, and cheddar cheese (I added bacon). Their eggs are cooked perfectly every time and the sausage they use is just heaven on earth. They have so much flavor. I also love that they cut their sausage in halves instead of in pieces (it really builds to the experience). The hash browns are seasoned perfectly as well. Came here for breakfast and so glad we did. The place is located off of Folsom Blvd tucked away and these are the places I love. The shop was very clean and very cute inside. We ordered a maple bar, a chocolate bar, a glazed twist and another twist bar but it was like a cinnamon roll twisted into a bar and dipped in glaze. They were all very delicious! We also had an iced caramel latte and the lady making our drinks asked how sweet we wanted it. I thought that was great customer service and we didn't get charged for it. They even checked with us on our milk preferences. Will definitely be coming here again when we are in the area. read more
