We don't care much for the donuts as they are a bit dry and there are many other great donut spots that serve soft fluffy donuts. The kolaches and staxx are what keep bringing us back. Staxx have been a favorite in our family for years. My kids have loved their sweet breads since they were babies, so there's definitely a lot of nostalgia attached to this place for us. It's one of those spots that has become part of our family's little traditions, and we always look forward to coming back!

It was great; I hate it when other places are super dough and tough to chew. I'll definitely be back just for that donut. I believe due to this business being the tea place originally and adding the donuts on may be the issue. I drove 15 minutes to try this place and am disappointed but we have decided to drive to another donut place. We did purchase some of the donuts a chocolate one, a buttermilk one and donut holes. I did not eat any due to the Nats flying around inside the case all over the donuts etc. My husband asked a neighbor if they wanted them with full disclosure and we were able to give them without throwing them away. I was told they were ok but old. The inside of the business is very bright and staff was ok, I could tell the frustration over it the Nats however as an owner being ok with selling them anyway bothers me. When I decided to drive here, it was due to seeing the strawberry doughnut, which looked nothing like the photo they display on the business. The workers have a place to use the bathroom. It's not "out of service". It's "out of service" to certain people. I'm so sick of gas stations, grocery stores and other businesses willing to take our money but won't let us use the bathroom. If your bathroom is actually out of service, then fine. But I have a feeling that you are on J st and you have unhoused people who ask to use the bathroom and it's easier to say it's "out of service" than to say I don't want you to use my bathroom. I was enticed to stop by enroute to Reno for "National Coffee Day." Email offer from the chain for a free coffee with any purchase. Download the PB app for perks & benefits. The counter associate Carin was a sweetheart (really cute too...wink/blushing). The pastries and overall concept of PB is out-of-this-world. Can't wait til they open the store in my hometown of Vallejo soon. I snagged what looked fabulous the chain's White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie for my purchase. It was heavenly. Carin asked me if I wanted it heated. I was sorta in a hurry, and said no. But I bet it would be even better heated and all gooey. Fellow patrons: let's get down the tray & tongs etiquette at PB a little better. Seems like a few were stacking used & dirty one's around the area where you're supposed to take new one's from. We picked up a little bit of everything , croissants and pastries, a baguette sandwich, baked treats and Korean iced coffee. Everything looked so good that making a decision was basically impossible. The pastries were fresh, flaky and just sweet enough, and the baguette sandwich was a great quick bite. The Korean iced coffee was also a perfect pairing with all those pastries. And I have to mention the cakes , they look absolutely gorgeous and they're seriously yummy. Perfect when you need something for a birthday, celebration, or honestly just an excuse to have cake. The Natomas location is bright, clean and has that nice bakery-café vibe. I also love that you can stop in for a quick coffee and pastry or actually sit down and enjoy it. The service was great too. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made the whole visit even better. Sometimes good service is what turns a quick bakery stop into a place you want to keep coming back My only warning: come with a plan... or at least a bigger bag.
