Donut Drop is my go to spot for donuts near me. Freshly baked every morning and all of them have a great texture and taste. Personal favorites are the glazed twisty and apple fritters. Seriously you can NEVER go wrong with those two. Owners are so sweet too! read more

OMG on the maple and bacon donut. Have to stop by more. The owners are awesome!

Brought them to work and they were a hit with everyone! I don't like my pastries too sweet, these were great. Everything was fresh and delicious but I loved the apple fritters! Can't wait to come back for more! read more

Yum! These donuts blow away Dunkin donuts and the other small chains in the area. Stuck in a tough location, but got in and out quickly off Algonquin. Didn't try the coffee but will def be going back. read more

This place is rockin' it. The donuts are fresh and big and have that old fashioned yeast taste. They need to work on their icing as it is a little flakey and more like hard sugar. However, the donut dough makes up for it. Very friendly people, decent prices, a must see. read more

The three home runs are the blueberry, red velvet, and the apple fritters..... But there are definitely others that are tasty as well. What's great is you can pickup a dozen and I honestly think they could charge more, but the donuts stay good even till the next day. Whenever the sweet tooth kicks in... Donut drop is my number one place to drop in. read more

Well it's about time. A donut shop aside from the Dunkin crap and County... this one is top donut shop in the area... It might be right up there and probably dethrone all those trendy Chicago donut joints. Something about the batter with all their types of donuts are on point. Like it melts in your mouth... They're all good. read more

We got breakfast here on our way into downtown Chicago. I got an apple fritter and a chocolate cake donut, and my husband got a chocolate iced donut. They were fresh and delicious and the apple fritter was huge. I didn't get a chance to eat the cake donut until the next day, but it was still fresh. Very tasty! read more

Wow - this place is AWESOME. I brought these into work and EVERYONE loved them. These donuts taste as great as they look. The only thing they could change is to have all the flavors available first thing in the morning but I accept when you are getting food that fresh and tasty not everything can be ready at once. Just a FYI: Their more exotic and specialty flavors aren't out until 7:30 or 8:00 am. read more

Awesome Samoa donut. The decor isn't much and it's a little strip. But it's near and clean and really good. All the donuts looked great!

Love this place they deliver to me at my job pretty much every Saturday. Since its the morning doughnuts are fresh and warm. Always taste great. read more

Very, very solid donut. Good variety. Fresh. Super friendly staff. Coffee is actually pretty good (someone on Yelp didn't like it - I am a bit of a coffee snob and usually burr grind/pour-over brew my own, and I thought it was more than acceptable). Priced appropriately. Can't wait to go there again. If you haven't been ... do! BTW, I guess they "drop" their donuts, and they are not normal shaped. Except for the yeast ring - which was really good as well. The red velvet (if you like red velvet) was really good. The blueberry was fabulous. In fact, they were all nummy, although the double chocolate fell apart a bit. That was nummy in bits. read more

Donuts. Extensive variety of donuts, some you expect and some you don't. Owner is very friendly and helpful.

Delicious donuts including the yummy buttermilk. Friendly service. Located in the corner of a strip mall.

I love the donuts from here! We have tried a variety and you can tell they are made from scratch and don't use artificial sweeteners. Prices are reasonable too! read more

Best donut ever created. The flavor, the perfect density and phenomenal taste. The people are friendly and I will continue to tell my friends about the best donut find in the suburbs! read more

My family had a variety of the yeast donuts and they were fresh and fluffy and delish. The chocolate hazelnut croissant was insane. Will definitely go back. read more

I love this donut shop! The donuts are amazing, and the owner is really nice! Oh and the boston cream donuts are the best ive ever had!

These donuts are amazing! They are fresh and great quality. I get them every week. The owners are very friendly. They know what they are doing! We need to get more people coming so they will make beignets! I can only imagine how yummy those are, since their donuts are fantastic! My kids love the "Homer Simpson" donut and the Fruity Pebbles. My favorite is the sugar twist. If you haven't been here yet, give it a try! You won't be disappointed. read more

This place has really delicious donuts. It is moist and they really take care of you from start to finish. If you want to get real donuts from real people and not from a careless franchise, check these guys out. read more

Have found the best donut shop in the northwest suburbs. You need to try their cake donuts, like pistachio and blueberry. Not to sweet. Perfect. And make it a point to meet the owners -- Chan and Lillian. They're good people. read more

Outstanding donuts! The yeast risen type are extremely soft, moist and airy. Cake types have an awesome flavor and great texture. Excellent glaze and toppings... Made fresh and with care. Great service and very friendly owners. good cup of coffee too. Best donut in the area - hands down!! Enjoy!! read more

Don't bother getting donuts anywhere else. Those apple fritters though...the best! So fresh and so expertly made. This is one of my favorite spontaneous finds! read more

Absolutely fantastic donuts! What else can I say? The red velvet is most delicious. Four stars instead of five because they do not stick to their published hours. Sometimes they open late and sometimes are closed before closing time. Quite a disappointment when one's mouth is watering for the best donut in the Schaumburg area. read more

Love love love this place. On several occasions I have come in and the donuts were still warm!!! Not fond of red velvet but OMG their Red Velvet Donuts are AMAZING!!! read more

This has got to be the best donut shop in the suburbs! We went because a co-worker recommended it and we were so happy we went!! We got a 1/2 dozen variety and there wasn't a single one that we didn't like. Seriously! Hey are that good and I can't wait to go back!!! The selection and service are awesome!!! read more

Didn't eat a chance to try. Online and website indicated they were open. Read great reviews and drove 20 minutes to try. My 3 year old had her heart set on a picture she saw of a heart shaped donut. Got all the way there and they were closed... at 830 am on a weekday? read more

The Apple Fritter is so good it is worth stopping what you are doing right now and going to get one. (Or five) Charlie and Lilian are also lovely so make sure to say hello. I have a passion for helping family owned and small business owners. If you want to help a local business and get the best treats around make sure you stop in! read more

Love the small business owner feel of this place! Went in yesterday morning. The donut & coffee was great & I got to chatting with the owner. She was very friendly & it was a nice way to start off my morning! She also suggested the new flavor donuts they had. The donuts were fresh & the price is reasonable! read more

Best donuts around! Always fresh, and the prices are great. Just wish they had more coffee flavors.

I love this place! Donuts are always so fresh no matter the time of day. My favorite by far is the blueberry cake donut, which is odd because my usual favorites are chocolate cake and Boston cream donuts. While those are still great, that blueberry one is just awesome! Definitely will be back. read more

Used to be a spunky dunkers fan.. but donut drop is waaaay better. Best donuts I've ever had. Especially the blueberry cake! Yum! read more

Donut Drop - Donuts Near Me - Schaumburg, Illinois

Different from other donut places in the area. They offer different varieties from others. The donuts are moist. My favorites are the bear claw and apple fritter. My wife and kids love the glaze. If it was up to my kids, they will have it everyday. read more

If I want doughnuts I will go out of my way to visit the Donut Drop. Have tried most of their chocolate variants and some of the specialties like the red velvet. My favorite would have to be the glazed double chocolate. Always freshly made and the donuts are pretty freaking big. Price is very good for the quality. Try to get there early though because they have run out of some of the varlets due to popularity. Still not brave enough yet to try the specialty doughnut that has bacon but it smells and looks so good. My family prefers their donuts over other shops and definitely over the large chain stores. read more

I consider myself a picky donut connoisseur, and I really do love good donuts. I do not care for the fluffy Krispy-Kreme style donuts, instead good cake donuts are my thing. Donut drop has a really good apple fritter ring, but the cake donuts are not crispy or particularly fresh tasting. The boston cream donut was enormous but had only 2 tablespoons of cream inside. I could have eaten 60% of the donut with no filling, honestly. Country donuts is still my local winner! read more

THE BEST DONUTS! I'm not a donut fan usually. But, popped in here after lunch out of curiosity. The donuts are da bomb diggity. The donuts are a perfectly sweet, taking into account the light glaze. So FRESH! and the coffee is a perfect compliment. If you love donuts, RUN!!!!!!!!! read more

One of the best donuts I've ever had! They all looked so good that I got one of every flavor! Nothing but compliments from my coworkers! Thanks!!!! read more

awesome donuts place, I would picked over competition any time "if only it was open more time, or if they didn't run out of donuts that often". other than that, its way better than big chain competition. more tasty, lil pricey but its worth it every penny. but at the end the hours they open really stink, and like mentioned at begging worst when they are closed because they sold out, and I mean sometimes early in the morning. if open and have a good variety I would recommend anyone to stop by and try it out. but I would also suggest anyone to call before going. read more

These donuts ROCK! I was in town at my company's headquarters and ordered a dozen for a morning meeting. There were no leftovers. The chocolate donut with the chocolate glaze is my favorite. Yummy!!! read more

I'm so glad to have found this place. Everything tastes super fresh. The croissant and bagel breakfast sandwiches are delicious, the doughnuts are great, and the staff is cheerful and friendly. read more
