I've been coming here for a while and I'm sad to see such bad reviews, I think the crew here is very friendly! I know that a HUGE part of their business is catering and that can impact employees who are clearly extremely busy and possible overworked, but finding good workers is incredibly tough and I think these folks work extremely hard and I approach it from that perspective. I always feel very welcome and I always show plenty of patience which I honestly think this crew appreciates. If they make a mistake then I try to be understanding and polite, because it cant be easy to start work at 5am and make 5oo bagel sandwiches and boxes just to be knocked down because someone complained that you put too much cream cheese on their bagel. I'll just say, try to have a little patience and understanding and you'll get back what you put in. And EB, try your best to get more workers in, maybe do what Chipotle did and have a designated line for online/catering orders in the back, that seems to be your weak point. read more

Just an update we sat and waited over an hour for the attendant to make coffee and watched as every coffee container emptied by other customers. The girl finally started all the coffee after multiple people said there was no coffee at all! Sat another 20 minutes then went up to the container to realize she never pressed the button to start making the coffee. Unbelievable!! We will never go to this location again will drive farther and go to the Barrington location or go to Panera coffee containers are always full there. read more

The ordering process is discombobulated. You don't order and pay at the same time, like Panera, but you order and then when it's ready, you pay. In the meantime, you have to hope and pray someone takes your order in the next ten minutes, even when you're first in line, because there's no dedicated cashier. The cashiers are also the food preparers. They are so miserable and unhappy, because they are under staffed, and they have online orders too. The misery there among the staff is palpable. They don't even say thank you, and barely acknowledge your existence. We just wanted a muffin and cinnamon role, but no one could just grab it. We had to order it, then we had to wait for someone to finish prepping another food order that had to be cooked, instead of getting us a simple muffin and cinnamon roll. I was disappointed with this Einstein Bagel location in Schaumburg. I stopped in before work to order me a cinnamon raisin bagel. There were like four women behind the counter filling online orders. It took one of the ladies to finally come and help with the in-store orders. The line was starting to get long. I was the third person in line to place my order. After, what seem like 20 minutes later, I was finally ready to order. I placed my order and kindly asked for plain cream cheese on one side of the bagel. I explained to the lady that I didn't want too much cream cheese. My request went unheard when I made it to work. I was ready to enjoy my bagel. I was so pissed off that I spent most of my time scrapping off cream cheese. I had so much cream cheese on my bagel that it was dipping. It was more of a loaded cream cheese bagel. My begal was delicious but the customer service was terrible. I walked in & there was a line of people waiting to pick up their food, a line of people waiting to order & only one employee. The one employee (HE) must have been working on a corporate order because he just kept making eggs, eggs & more eggs. He made about 25 eggs when all of a sudden a girl pops out of the bathroom & sees people waiting in line so what does she do? She runs back to the bathroom and then after another 10 minutes (HE) decides to get her and asked her to help him out because THE ONLY THING he is doing is making eggs. She comes out with the typical pouty angry & resentful attitude and takes my order then she spends her time stocking cream cheese into the fridge so I have zero chance of actually getting through this ordeal. Clearly customers are nothing but annoying interruptions to the staff to be ignored & treated in the most feral manner. I usually love Einstein Bagels but this location had me second guess myself. First, I tried to order online but that didn't go through so I decided to drive there instead and order in person. I was hoping to enjoy my bagel and juice there but their dining room isn't available for sit in right now wish I knew that going in. Parking is kind of limited because it shares space with a couple of other restaurants in the strip. As I entered in I thought I'd be in and out because no one was there. I stood at the front counter to order and it took about ten minutes for one of the workers to even acknowledge me. They were busy with a lot of online orders. By the time they finally got to me their service was not the most pleasant. Maybe they aren't use to face to face interaction. They didn't have many options for bagels and their soda Machine was out of order. I ordered my cheesy hashbrown turkey, egg and cheese bagel and a plain bagel with plain shmear on the side. Avoid at all costs. Just about everything that could've went wrong here did. First, there were only about four bagel flavors available. I don't understand the concept of not making enough bagels to get you through the day. When I asked about what else was available the extremely rude woman behind the counter told me "what you see is what we have." We ordered a tea for my wife, they charged her $4 for a glass of hot water and a Great Value Walmart branded tea bag. Are you fricking kidding me. They just had these bags of garbage tea out on full display. I don't even know how they legally get away with that. I ordered a fountain drink for myself and instead she charged me a $6 smoothie. When I asked about the charge she responded with "really man, it's only $3." Our bagels were both served cold and the fountain station had no ice and three of the four flavors I tried were all flat. I went there today but a few bagels they're six cheese bagels are wonderful I love them, my husband loves the everything bagels so I got him one of those. The gentleman working his name was Kevin he provided very good customer service. He was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely return because these by far are the best bagels around unlike Panera there are more toppings and they are. Someone brought bagels from here to work, and I had a blueberry bagel with blueberry cream cheese. So fresh and yummy!! Delish! I also tried their cold brew coffee and Southwest Egg White Chef's Creation for breakfast on a Saturday morning, and it was delicious! Only 400 calories and packed with flavor. Slightly spicy from the tomatillo salsa and pepper jack cheese, but it completed the turkey sausage and plain thintastic bagel quite well. This location is so poorly managed. The employees are walking around lost and can't focus on doing one job. The order taker employee (young girl) was mad when my girlfriend told her that she wants her order in a different bag. I don't see how that could be a problem. The order was completed and we went to go pay but we and along with 4 other guest were waiting for the cashier (Bonnie) to finish what ever she was doing (filling boxes of coffee) before she could take care of us. Everyone's food was ready and ol'Bonnie couldn't stop and help us.
