Box of deliciousness.
Debra M.

Holy sweet tooth, what a great find in Shakopee! GPS took me off course but a quick phone call turned me around and we arrived, thanks to their directions! My twin granddaughters loooove donuts and so we arrived this morning and I let them go wild selecting donuts for themselves, Mom & Dad, and big brother, ending up with a dozen huge and specialty donuts for $23. The maple bacon is my favorite! They offer a free cup of coffee with any purchase, too. I'd love to come back for breakfast sandwiches. The donuts were everything you could want: moist, flavorful, beautifully glazed or iced, the sweetness is nicely balanced and you won't feel like you need an insulin shot after eating the Located next to Speedway on the North side of 101 and just West of Marschall Rd, they recently opened to great reviews, which luckily brought me here. What a great find!

Apple fritter, doughnut holes, lemon and raspberry cream filled, eat the candied coconut and red velvet doughnuts. Very delicious!

Hidden Gem in Shakopee! Amazing doughnuts so far, what we have eaten out of our dozen. Red velvet cake doughnut is to die for!!! Great service, small shop, but clean. Definitely will be back to try the Bacon Maple Long John.

Fruity Pebbles Donut

Don't judge a book by its cover. The more mature appearance of this place doesn't exactly do it any favors. But when you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome and smile. They have your classic collection of donuts represented plus a couple of bonus donuts that I always tend to gravitate towards. Those bonus donuts include red velvet and what I chose fruity pebbles. Just don't expect anything crazy classic is their motivation. They have some water and soda options and a gas station-like coffee machine. Man, I wish they had freshly made coffee to some extent. I would be all over that!! Overall quick and easy and the product tasted exactly how I expected it to. Yummy.

Strawberry mochi donut

Trying to get a mochi donut and the Asian mall line in Eden prairie is too long? Look no further! Today they had matcha, pistachio and strawberry. Delish!! Soft and squishy and yummy pink frosting. Hot Tips: cash gets you a .59 discount; get there before 1 pm, new owners and now they sell breakfast sandwiches.

This was a disappointment with the few stale bites until it turned bird food which I'm sure they might have enjoyed. We ordered some donuts all of which were dry and you can tell they've been sitting for at least a day as the fruity pebbles one the icing was falling off in chunks so you can tell it was old after the first horrible bite. The honey glazed one was just as bad as it tasted very stale and just not very good so I gave it too the birds. Either way these were some pretty bad donuts all around with nothing to show for them I wouldn't recommend coming here to anyone!

I love this donut shop! Such a variety of donut flavors and they're all so good! The best part - they have a drive thru! My favorite flavor is the sprinkled raised glazed donut but their red velvet cake donut is a close second.

Filled Long-John Donut

Had a great chocolate long john filled with crème, this morning. Great selection of donuts, easy to find business and friendly staff.

I'm new to the area and wanted to get a special birthday donut for my daughter because she is OBSESSED with donuts so I found this place online and gave them a call. The staff was super friendly both on the phone and in person. The donut turned out perfect. My kid was STOKED. We will definitely be back!

This is the amount of frosting they use. Barely frosted.

Their donuts are pretty good. We drive 15 minutes to get them. But I am consistently disappointed in the little selection they have, and the little amount of icing they put on their donuts. Also the stuffed long John had almost no filling in it. It's a Sunday morning and they dont plan for it. You should not be almost out of ALL donuts at 9am. This will continue to be my backup choice. I'd rather go to yoyo donuts or lunds and byerlys.

A dozen for $6! I'm an expert and the classic chocolate raised here is 5/5 stars!

Mr Pigs Smokery - Brisket, sausage, corn bread, mashed potatoes, Carolina sauce. YUM!

Mr Pigs Smokery

This is bbq heaven! First...you need to know I'm a bbq snob. I'm very picky about flavors,…read moretenderness, smokiness, etc. Mr Pigs delivers! We had ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and sausage. All of it was delicious! The brisket was extraordinarily tender. The sausage had a delicious kick to it and was juicy. The pulled pork had a wonderful smokiness to it and didn't need any bbq sauce. The restaurant itself is very clean and everyone was very friendly. Oh...and the Diet Coke was great! We will be back! Chef's kiss!

I have been wanting to try this place since I heard they opened. I went tonight with my son because…read morewe both love BBQ. We each got a two meat combo plate. He got one that was pulled pork and brisket with sweet potato fries. I got pork ribs and brisket with Mac and cheese. We also ordered two jalapeño cheddar sausage links to share. We also ordered smoked chicken wings in buffalo sauce for an appetizer. The wing are awesome they had just enough smoke and crisp to make them very flavorful and the right amount of sauce. The brisket was great. I think the slices were from where the the flat and point meet. The ribs were seasoned well and had a good smoke ring. The only thing I might say was lacking for me is they were fall off the bone. I like mine to have a little tug to where I can take a bite and the meat doesn't all come away. The Mac and cheese for me was missing something maybe a little smoke or garlic. My son said the pulled pork was a little too chewy and the fat really hadn't melted into the meat. He was surprised to taste the brown sugar on the sweet potato fries which he said were ok. The jalapeño and cheddar sausage was good and it was cooked with just the right amount of snap to the casing. They had some good side options like coleslaw, mashed potatoes, regular and sweet potato fries, Mac and cheese and baked beans also. I would have liked to been able to order potato salad but not a deal breaker. Maybe another sausage option is like a Texas style hot link. Our server Nic S. was awesome always checking in and making sure that food was good and if we needed anything. We went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy. We came towards the end of happy hour also. The parking lot is shared by two other popular restaurants so parking was a little difficult but not bad. They could not use more spots as all three looked busy. The noise was normal and the decor was nice. Will definitely be back.

Boardwalk Kitchen & Bar

The restaurant has a nice layout, very comfortable low lighting with a somewhat open kitchen look…read moreand a large bar in the middle. I imagine it would be really nice in the spring/summer as there is a horse track right outside of the restaurant which would provide a great view to a race. It definitely got a little loud just sitting inside They had a large variety of options to choose from on the menu. They also offered a great and surprisingly extensive Happy Hour Menu which we got there in time to take advantage of.  We got the burger and thought it was very tasty, we love a good caramelized onion. I thought it definitely needed some ketchup to balance out the heaviness of the onions and cheese with a little bright acidity. I also thought the patties themselves were very good, thin with a slight crisp to them with a soft bun and melty sauces and cheese. Since it was a happy hour option the burger did not come with any sides like it would have as an entrée. We also got fish tacos and we were a big fan of the slaw and pineapple mayo which brought a balance of sweet and savory to the dish. Only came with two tacos (at least for happy hour) which might not be enough food if you're hungry. The hot smoked salmon was one of the more unique items we tried. The salmon itself was super tasty - salty and smoky just what you want. They use the smaller scraps of salmon that wouldn't work in their Wood-Fired King Salmon entrée and incorporate it into this appetizer which is great sustainability-wise! The salmon came with a creamy ricotta, salty capers, crunchy crostini, and sweet and acidic pickled red onions. We liked this combination a lot but felt it could have used even more sweetness/acidity, maybe just adding a couple more onions to the dish. We really enjoyed the 'Garganelli' pasta dish. It was creamy and indulgent with pieces of lobster and freshly shaved parmesan on top. The chili added a really nice layer of heat but wasn't overpowering. The server was nice enough to split up everything we had over the evening to share (which explains the two small portions in the photo). MN Mule - 8/10 Pretty average but solid mule. However, it was served in a plastic spam cup which elevated the whole experience. Margarita - 9/10 Very good margarita - we were told it was a house made margarita not from a mix. Very bright and fresh flavors that definitely let the tequila shine. Overall would definitely recommend!

This is loudest place I've ever been to in my life. I had dinner in the restaurant, walked out to…read morethe patio, and spent time listening to music in the bar, and all were equally overstimulating and LOUD. My Soundprint app registered 85-91 decibels. As I screamed my order to my server, I wondered what the point of this is. Do they want people to leave as quickly as possible? The food was absolutely delicious (spicy rigatoni for me, ribs for my husband), and drinks were good. The decor is nice and the patio is a great idea, and quite spacious. Service was polite and professional, if a tad slow. Prices were a bit high. If the environment was better for an upscale date, I wouldn't have minded the prices. This seems like a place you'd get a bit dressed up to go to and spend money on your date. However, you can't have a conversation because IT'S SO LOUD. My husband and I just stared at each other from across the table because we couldn't talk without shouting at each other. We then moved into the bar to listen to music but only stayed a half hour because it was rattling my skull. This place has potential but if they want to be upscale they need to make it a place where you can actually talk to the people you're with.
