My first time here at around 930 or 10 pm was pretty good. Ya. But my late night trip (1245am) wasn't good at all. There were no good donuts left! I mean none! . The uni brow guy was super rude, slamming things down and giving bad attitude just because I needed to text my roommate to see what kind he wanted as they... Of course didn't have what he wanted. . He doesn't speak English that well either. If at all. . Prices are, ah. Okay. Place is a whole in the wall. But that doesn't bother me much. . All around would work for me If the dude wasn't so rude and customer care was there and they would have donuts available at a 24 hour donut place. .. Sucks as I was probably going to become a neighborhood usual. I'll probably really need a donut craving to go back there. Adding. They catered my niece's birthday party and the donuts were delicious! I ordered the cake donut with pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles. It actually looked exactly like the Simpson donuts. I love cake donuts and these had a nice crunch when you first take a bite and the inside was fluffy. All the guests loved them. I recommend it to anyone who loves donuts! read more

This is my first review. I typically don't write reviews but I feel this place deserves one. I have been coming here for the past year pretty consistently. They have been making constant improvements. Having taken over from the previous owners they have transformed this into an inviting and comfortable donut shop. The employees are very nice and always take care of the customers. I have met the owner (Kevin) and can say he truly cares about how his customers feel about their experience there. Improving on not just the interior but also the quality of all their products. If you want to get great donuts, coffee or croissant sandwiches you need to try the Donut Boss. Oh, I would recommend coming in early as possible. I've noticed that even though they are making more donuts than they ever have they do tend to sell out towards the evening. That's what happens when people find out about a good place! Lastly, I'd like to personally thank Kevin, Lupe and Jenny for providing to me a consistently excellent product and service. There were others behind the counter that I would thank by name but shame on me for not remembering their names. Although I'm not near them as much anymore I will still pop my head in there to buy a dozen of their donuts to share with my friends when I can. Ok, I know that you probably think this is a fixed review. Let me assure you that it's real. This is the one and only Yelp review I've ever done up to this point. Donuts are fresh in the morning. Donut variety for the most part is just like any other donut shop. A few unique gourmet donuts. Coffee is hot. It also comes with a free side of attitude from a lady in the back with glasses. It must be part of the donut boss experience. read more

My new favorite donut spot--overriding Glee's and Sidecar.. I came in here on a whim one night because they were nearby and still opened. I got a donut hole, cinnamon twist, apple fritter, and coconut donut. All were so good! They were the perfect combination of fluffy, yet had a crisp in the bite. I will definitely be back. read more

Came around 7pm on a weekday and was a little disappointed to come and only saw 2-3 options remaining and didn't look quite fresh so I asked what time they usually make new ones and I was even more disappointed to find out that they don't make the donuts in store here at donut boss! They make it at different facility and have it delivered there for the day. The donut shop (donut makers)before this always made theirs in store fresh daily. Sad I didn't get to try any of those cool donuts but maybe I'll come back and give it another try if I'm up early and craving donuts. read more

My new donut spot! Living off Goldenwest/Westminster, this spot is close to my house is one reason. 6 donuts for $6 is affordable. Their donuts are all tasty and soft/chewy without being dry, signs of some good donuts. Their taro donuts is the best! read more

I'm giving it 4 stars because I received BOGO free donut. The lady that helped us wasn't very helpful and she did not know what kind of donuts she had in the display boxes. I also asked about their iced coffee and she said they do not serve that. The only reason I went was because I had read about their iced coffee so I was very disappointed. I ended up just buying one of the Starbucks coffee they had in the fridge. There were a few of their fun donuts left, but they looked like they had been sitting their a while so I just bought the regular ones which were very delicious. The lady also mentioned that they do not make the donuts there and that they are delivered every morning. I don't think I will be going again it wasn't a great experience and she just made it feel like a boring old donut shop. The place looks really cool from the inside though. Tried this place on a whim. They have a big display but all the donuts looks kinda messy and not appealing. The store itself is small and feels dirty. I got two donuts. The first one was decent, fluffy, seemed fresh. The second was over fried, hard, and tasted old. Will not go back. read more

Well priced and delicious donuts. Grabbed just a bout one of everything for a family get together and we ate everyone - EXCEPT...the Macha donut. That taste was not good at all. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I live right by Glee and Donuttery and go out of my way to get donuts here. I've actually bought donuts at all three places one day to compare (cause I'm a fatass AND cause science), and I realized that 1) Glee's texture and taste is off 2) Donuttery has a weird aftertaste to it, I think it's from the oil they use or something. The donuts at Donut Boss are light and airy and taste really fresh. They're also super affordable and the workers always hook it up with an extra donut hole or two. read more

I think this is another ordinary donut shop aside from the match/taro flavored donuts (2.25$). The icing isnt too thick where it would make the donut overly sweet. The dough was fluffy and had a little oil. Its in a relatively dead plaza so theres a lot of parking at night. Id come back to try the matcha ! read more

A hole-in-the-wall donut shop with a good number of local customers. The service is good, the donuts aren't bad either. Not worth raving about but its as classic as the local shop gets. Got a ham n cheese crossiant n coffee. Note: if you dont spend at least $5, theyll charge 75 cents on cards. But dozen donuts keep my wallet happy and they are under $8. :) read more

Stopped by for a ham and cheese croissant and it was really bad, the guy with the Uni-brow microwaved it and served it to us. The croissant had really salty ham and the cheese wasn't there. Super fresh donuts and friendly customer service make this place BOSS! They sell classic donuts, "special" donuts (Nutella, green tea, taro,...), croissants, and other breakfast pastries. They also have a few tables to enjoy breakfast. Highly recommend! read more

Even one star is way too much for this place.. Around 2am a couple of friends and I were next door at 7-11 and I wanted some donuts so we decided to get some at this place. The worker with the uni-brow was making donuts in the back and told us to wait, which we did. When he finally showed up I asked for two maple bars, one for me and the other for my friend. When the worker brought both of the donuts up to the cash register, I forgot to mention if he can put it in separate bags. He gave me the rudest look and told me that I should of told him before hand and just gave me another bag. Seriously, all he had to do was use his tongs again, grab the freakin donut and put one of the donut in the other bag he just gave me. As I was about to pay, my friend comes over and asks him again politely to separate the donuts, since we just came back from the beach and did not want to grab the donuts with our hands. He then had the audacity to tell my friend for her to just use her hands and separate the donuts.... WTF! Seriously?! It was 2am and no other customers but us. I don't know if he is the owner or a worker, but he seriously needs to work on customer service! Asking for a donut to be separated into two bags was not a hard request. The donuts were mediocre and the customer service HORRIBLE. While one rude lady was helping me another customer commented to his wife that his PTSD was coming back while they were rudely helped by another Asian lady. My teen daughter, without me saying a word, said this lady really seems "put out" by helping us - I agreed and told her I planned to say something after we got our food. My final request was for a few napkins, as her napkin tray was empty. She acted as if she didn't understand me, then when I repeated myself she sighed loudly and refilled the tray. So, I asked...are you having a bad day? It sure seems so - maybe if you were more kind you'd have more customers. The couple behind me nodded as the lady shook her head and repeatedly responded "thank you" very loud to drown out anything I was saying. She understood exactly what I was saying. The customer service was so bad I would like to contact the owner but I tried to reach him once, for a community service project, and he never returned my calls so I'd imagine this time would be no different. I stopped in the other morning on my way home from work. Got a half dozen, which most places don't sell, but they do. Bit into my first donut and it was like a piece of heaven. So soft and fresh, it melted in my mouth. No kidding, I haven't had a donut from any other shop that comes close to a Krispy donut. Go try one soon. read more

Not a fan, The donuts were just meh. Bought 3 different kinds only had a bite of each & I was over it. What really sucked was the coffee. I ordered a mocha (usually donut shops only have the one blended ice mocha) but I got a cup of hot mocha which was my bad for not specifying. I asked for a cup of ice so I could just chill it myself & the lady said she would charge me for an extra cup. Ok nevermind. Left, once my drink cooled down I went to drink it & IT WAS HOT CHOCOLATE. I stopped here after getting gas at Chevron to get some food for the road. My BF and I got a jalapeno, ham & cheese croissant to share. It was whatever... there were barely any jalapenos and cheese. Plus, the customer service was terrible. The girl did not even acknowledge my presence or look at me in the eye... I couldn't tell if she was trying to take my order or look out the window. Just got home got there at 7:50am order 2 a bagels one regular and the other that has the seeds on top n I also told them for jalapenos to be added they gave a whole complete bagel with no jalapenos one slice of but like 3 inches long ,,, they did one right n on top I paid for how I want it and they mess it up. I told them twice about the jalapenos. Very disappointed I was expecting the bagel from the poster they promote but pretty much a plain bagel.... I got here 1-3 times a week. In the AM and or PM. 8:30pm and later donuts are fresh. And for those who have only stopped once and want a fresh donut at 2am or mid day...go to Krispy Kreme you whack whiners! I came here just to try the taro donut (I'd try taro in anything). Ended getting a variety with other croissants too. Though I loved the taro, I didn't think it was worth the $2.25. It was a dollar more than the classics. Donuts were good and fluffy. Nothing really that sets it apart other than the taro. I would skip the croissants though... It doesn't taste buttery but rather oily like margarine? My to-go place would still be glee donuts... Cheap and super good with their own specialties too. read more

This is a good place to buy doughnuts. Usually fresh all day and fairly inexpensive as well. My favorite doughnut shop.

They recently updated the interior. Looks very nice donuts are decent. Hispanic lady working there is always very polite. I would recommend.

i haven't stepped foot in this shop in like a year or two, and i decided to get a quick donut before having to go to work. and i am really impressed on how they remodeled their store, smells extremely clean and looks super nice. I'm always cautious getting donuts in the afternoon because sometimes the donuts are stale but i am really happy i got my double chocolate coconut donut because it's definitely delicious! the batter is very good and moist, the donut is crispy and i got to say it's also flavorful! it's really hard to find donut shops that are good around Westminster. i usually go to the popular one in Huntington beach called dountery but i'm really glad this one is near my house. the lady that helped me wasn't the friendliest but, i guess it's fine bc everything else was great! read more

Big donuts. They don't skimp on the size of their buttermilk bars like a lot of other places do. My favorite is the cinnamon roll. I've tried them at a lot of other places. Theirs is as good as any and Bigger than any other place I have been. Everything I've ordered here has been fresh. read more
