Living in Lyons, this is 'the' gas station. We do usually just plan it out and get gas in Salem or Albany because EVERYTHING in Lyons costs more. In a pinch visited here yesterday, pulled in, asked for $10 in gas on the card. We were informed that the minimum for a card is $15, no problem, asked for $15. Asked the guy if he would mind washing the windshield. His response was, "Nope." Our response, "excuse me?" His response, I'm only making like $.15 on this sale so no." "Okay.... so would you mind if I used your squeegee?" NO ANSWER. So louder, "Can I use your squeegee?" he just pointed and said it's over there.
There happens to be Marines stuff in a few place, I was thinking to myself that i would never imagine saying that a Marine is lazy but this guy is lazy. Maybe he's not the Marine. Either way, he made $.15 off us that day and lost any future business that he would ever get from us. Living half way between the Mill City and the Lyons gas station, we will make sure to go to the Mill City station from now on.
