He is the most dependable pool man we have had in the nearly 40 years of having pool service and our pool has never looked better! Our water is crystal clear and yet never has too many chemicals that are overpowering... I have asthma and COPD and I always feel very comfortable swimming in our pool which is not the case in all pools! The monthly service price is very reasonable and well worth it! He does the repairs on pool equipment personally and we have never had any issues. He is quick to address any possible problems and is great about explaining whatever process is needed. Let's talk about the best for a moment... Don has been servicing our pool since 1995. My mom hired him and he's been coming to the house every Friday afternoon, rain or shine. Before Don, our pool suffered a bit of neglect. I remember during the off peak months like fall and winter, it would turn swamp green with nasty mosquitoes harvesting their eggs in it. Don was extremely helpful in assessing why my filter housing was leaking. It turned out to be a stripped bolt that was not able to hold the pressure any longer. He advised me that I can try going to Ace Hardware down the street to see if they can replace the bolt which would be an inexpensive way to go. However, if they couldn't do it, I would be able to find the part on Amazon. He gave me great tips on removal, cleaning, and replacing the filters in the tank and also gave me advice on clearing the algae in my pool. I wish his route wasn't booked up so he can provide my pool service, since I'm looking for one. Unfortunately, my last pool guy flaked on me and that resulted in all this extra work we now have to deal with in order to get our pool back up and running again for the summer season. I try to stick with someone once I have them there but it was the worst experience with this guy. Bad service.
