I had called Dons Pool Service and asked for his help with my pool even though he was not taking new customers. He came the same day as I had alge starting to grow. My last pool man was not doing his job! Don came out and assessed the problem and told me how to take care of this alge so it won't come back. He even put in chemicals and left me some test strips. I was very surprised when he wouldn't take any payment for stopping by to help me. what a great person!! I wish he had openings but can see why he doesn't. Thank you so much Don!! read more

Don is phenomenal !!! He has been doing our pool for years and I'm almost ashamed of how long it has taken to write a review for him!!! He is the most dependable pool man we have had in the nearly 40 years of having pool service and our pool has never looked better! Our water is crystal clear and yet never has too many chemicals that are overpowering... I have asthma and COPD and I always feel very comfortable swimming in our pool which is not the case in all pools! The monthly service price is very reasonable and well worth it! He does the repairs on pool equipment personally and we have never had any issues. He is quick to address any possible problems and is great about explaining whatever process is needed. Additionally he has always given great recommendations for any outside work needed!! If you are looking for a dependable, reasonably price excellent pool service then we HIGHLY RECOMMEND DON'S POOL SERVICE!!! You won't be disappointed!!! read more

Let's talk about the best for a moment... Don has been servicing our pool since 1995. My mom hired him and he's been coming to the house every Friday afternoon, rain or shine. Before Don, our pool suffered a bit of neglect. I remember during the off peak months like fall and winter, it would turn swamp green with nasty mosquitoes harvesting their eggs in it. This is probably what prompted my mom to reach out to Don and his expertise. His loyalty is remarkable and attention to detail is immaculate. Our pool is always clean, blue, and in working condition. Don manages the appropriate pH levels and chlorine, and replaces parts that are needed. Our only job is to maintain the correct water level and enjoy our pool! Don's 25 years of professionalism & top quality service is what makes Don stand out from the rest. He is attentive & very caring. He is the best! read more

I called Dons Pool Service with an emergency issue with my filter and he was very helpful! Don came out, even though I was not a current customer, assessed the situation and called me with what needed to be done. He ordered the part and came out to complete the job, within a week. It was nice to finally come across a service business that didn't take advantage of the situation and was more concerned with helping someone, rather than making money off of someone. read more

My husband and I "inherited" Don's Pool Service more than 20 years ago following the retirement of our former pool man. Over the many, many years of having Don come out to clean/maintain our pool, we have never had a problem! Don is honest and reliable -- I can't recall a time when he failed to show for his weekly service! That is an impeccable record! He is a true professional who takes pride in his work. His fee is unbeatable. The very few times he has had to raise his rate, he has been kind enough to let his customers know well in advance and the increases have been very minimal. I pay far less than many people I know with similar size pools. He is friendly and doesn't seem to mind my beagle following him around while he is servicing the pool. If you're looking for a honest, dependable, professional to maintain your pool and/or spa, Don's Pool Service is your go-to man! read more

I have had a few people servicing my pools on a monthly basis. Don is the one that I have had most recently and for many years. I have to be very choosy with whom I let in my yard because I have dogs that room free so I have to be very trusting the people who gained entry to my yard. I am extremely pleased with everything that Don does for my pool, taking care with my property as well as my animals. And to boot is a genuinely nice guy. He is completely reliable and there every week that he supposed to be. Any little issues I've had or questions he's been very attentive and accommodating. He is by far, the best I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. read more

It's says he does service, when he called back he said I don't have time, I only work with my current clients. What's the purpose of this Yelp page.. if you would have done a good job on the repairs I needed maybe you could of had another client for monthly service. read more

Don was extremely helpful in assessing why my filter housing was leaking. It turned out to be a stripped bolt that was not able to hold the pressure any longer. He advised me that I can try going to Ace Hardware down the street to see if they can replace the bolt which would be an inexpensive way to go. However, if they couldn't do it, I would be able to find the part on Amazon. He gave me great tips on removal, cleaning, and replacing the filters in the tank and also gave me advice on clearing the algae in my pool. I wish his route wasn't booked up so he can provide my pool service, since I'm looking for one. Unfortunately, my last pool guy flaked on me and that resulted in all this extra work we now have to deal with in order to get our pool back up and running again for the summer season. Thanks, Don for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come out to my house on a Saturday. Let me know if you can somehow fit us into your schedule in the future. read more

I don't write reviews good or bad but when it comes to your home well I felt it necessary for the next person. Don serviced my pool for a couple of years. I try to stick with someone once I have them there but it was the worst experience with this guy. Bad service. When I finally let him go my pool cleaner( creepy crawly) which costs around $300 came up missing. Really bad experience. Would not recommend. read more

We have been using Don's Pool Service for 3 years now and we couldn't be more pleased with the service that Don provides. Don's Pool Service relocated the old in-ground filter system on my parent's 1970 pool to a new above ground system as well as installing a new automatic pool sweeper. Don did all the work himself in a timely manner at a reasonable cost...at exactly the price that was quoted. Don provides the pool weekly maintenance service as well. The pool looks great!!!
