They do a great cut & color, no doubt, but I find that the staff can be snooty. The hairstylist working on you, in most cases are quite engaging and friendly, but subordinate staff can hand out quite the attitude. The receptionist(s) cut you off when you call, act disinterested & short. And god help you if you need to call and change an appointment. I feel that even though I have a great cut when I leave, I need to whole experience to be pleasant and that starts at the front desk. I will go to a salon that is grateful and truly appreciative of my business in a service industry that relies on referrals and repeat business. read more

I can't say enough positive things about this place. I have been to countless salons in the area and have finally found the "one". The inside is clean and modern, very appealing inside and outside. The ladies and the owner are very nice and welcoming. The first time I had my hair professionally dyed was here and it came out perfect. Since I have been going there for a year, I have always had the best hair cut. There are no rude or snotty or snooty attitudes here. I always see a nice mix of young and old women and everyone always seems so happy. Prices are normal, not inflated. They only take cash and are closed Mondays. To top everything else off, Donovan has their own line of hair products. If you have thick, frizzy, or just frustrating hair you really need to spend some extra cash and get the styling aide he sells. It comes in an orange bottle and after several times of wondering why my hair always looks so straight and sleek I finally gave in and bought a bottle. And, yes, this stuff makes a huge difference! This is the most amazing salon I have ever gone to. Patrick, his great Team and especially his receptionist treat me like a queen. I've never had a haircut anywhere that is nearly as good as the one Patrick gives me. Not a week goes by that I don't get a compliment on my hair cut and color. I love going to Donovan & Co whenever I'm in town to get a haircut. Patrick is a fabulous choice for a cut, as he always listens to his clients while sharing his thoughts and expertise on what style would fit you best. The service is excellent and the salon offers waxing, coloring, etc, all of which I've tried and loved. Denise, at Donovan, has been cutting and coloring my hair for at least the last 4 years. She does a FANTASTIC job, I always receive tons of compliments on the color - it's always fresh and fun, as is the cut. Everyone in the place is amazing - they all treat you fantastically - from being warmly greeted when you walk in, to appointment making, to the actual service - everything is warm and friendly. ...just got off the phone with Kaitlyn (receptionist, assistant to Patrick) and she was just about as pleasant as one could get; very accommodating and helpful. Nicole is the stylist I go to and she is very reasonably priced...but don't let her budget price fool you---she is top-notched and knows what she is doing with hair-color, foils, and cut (these are the various services that I have had and can genuinely attest to). As others have commented, I also get compliments on my hair style and color. In fact, I have sent people to to Donovans who have inquired (once in a grocery line) about my stylist. I rarely comment on these types of sites but my New Years resolution (one of them anyway) was to acknowledge those who do such great work. Thanks! read more

Love this salon!!! I am normally very picky with my hair and once I find a stylist I love I don't go anywhere else. I will not go anywhere besides Donovan and Co. Everyone is always very friendly and I love the way may hair turns out!! My hair is done by Alesia and now my sister is going to the salon - and to Alesia - and loves it as well. Shes doesn't push you into any particular kind of cut and is very knowledgable about hair. Like the previous reviewer said - can't say enough positive things!! read more

This was my first time going to Donovan & Co. The prices reflect the degree of the stylist. As all I needed was a basic hair cut, I selected the budget price. I was well pleased with the results and will be a returning customer. The staff was all pleasant enough. And I had no problem booking my appointment. read more

I went there for years and drove a long distance because I loved my stylist. I was treated very poorly on one occasion by the staff and refused to go back. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. read more
