Parking was widely open on Main and I was seated only a couple of mins before I was seen. Overall a great experience! I don't know that stylists get enough credit for being on their feet and using their hands all day while having to maintain a sunny disposition (despite whatever they may have to manage in their personal life and/or the myriad of oddities they likely have to endure at the hands of clients).... the salon here certainly deserves that acknowledgment. My visit to Tonic was a truly refreshing break from the hectic realities of life to thanks to their upbeat, welcoming environment with a very genuine and engaging stylist (who heard exactly what I wanted and delivered it!). It is clear that Allison seems takes great pride in her work and emulates a strong confidence in her approach (seems well deserved!). Equally skilled and engaging, Allison was a true pleasure to spend time with and be styled by. I hope the very best for her in the year ahead. Another facet of this visit that stood out to me was the very clear affinity the stylists seem to have for one another with frequent shared laughs and dialogue. The salon's commitment to high quality (less or non toxic) products is also something I appreciate. I'm very glad to have found Tonic and to have had the chance to meet Allison; definitely recommend both the location and this stylist and hope to visit again when I'm back in town!

Walking in, you could tell a great deal of thought was put into the design and decor of the place. Julia had told me she designed and decorated the entire place herself (which even included the logo) which is quite impressive. She has a great eye for style and it shows in the welcoming, relaxing feel of her salon. The salon is also set in an old house, which makes it really cozy. Now onto the work that Julia does with her hair design. Today, I went in for cut and color. Before beginning, Julia made sure she had the exact idea of what I wanted from my visit down to every detail. She also spent a good amount of time going over my color choice for the day and making sure I was comfortable and excited about my new dye color. Julia is very knowledgeable about what colors and hair styles go well with your skin tone. She is very detailed oriented and she really wants to customers to love their hairstyle. While I was waiting for my dye to set, Julia offered me a cup of coffee or tea, whatever I wanted! This made the whole experience warm and relaxing. In the end, my new hairstyle and color was just what I wanted. I have already gotten so many complements on the color and cut! I highly suggest this salon to anyone that is looking for a breath of fresh air and a stylist with a great attention to detail and eye for style in a warm and relaxing environment!

Because Sam keeps this gray covered! And let me tell you, it is STUBBORN. Like an overtired two year old stubborn. But Sam is more stubborn because she gets that ugly old mule color turned lovely shades of blond and brown for me. She is an expert at what she does, she is really good at taking hair that is downright hateful and turning it into something pretty. I'm what most people would politely describe as "fussy" and would otherwise call difficult because I like to get highlights and lo-lights and it can be a lot of work. But Sam never ever complains if I ask for both. She's always sweet as sugar no matter what I'm asking for. Just one of the nicest people you can meet! You can tell she is someone who really tries to give her clients what they are asking for and she is very skilled at what she does. She works in the My Salon Suites on Main Street, which is really great with this year with covid happening. Because when you see her it's just yourself and her in her little salon suite room. That building has a nice, huge parking lot too. But when I go see her there is a little buzzer for each Salon Suite and when her last client leaves and she cleans up the room, she buzzes me in for my appointment. With covid around this set up makes me feel much safer than if I was going to a larger salon. We both wear our masks, I feel like it's a fairly low risk way for me to make sure my gray is staying covered right now. Her prices are more than reasonable for the level of service she is giving. She takes cash or any major credit card, she makes payment super easy. I think one of things I appreciate the most aside from her excellent service and top notch color service (the cuts are awesome too!) is that she tends to run a timely ship. She very rarely runs late at all. I very much appreciate people who value other people's time too. We all know things come up sometimes and everyone understands that but like I said, she's very considerate of others schedules and making things work. Sam is just a very sweet and considerate person, she's very good at her job and I'm glad she keeps my hair from looking like a bird nest of shame :)

Whether they're a year old, or a teenager, she's fantastic. Believe me, I've put some some wriggly kids in her chair! My teen girls love the gorgeous hairstyles she does for dances or other events. One of my girls has super curly hair, and getting her hair blown out by Sam is one of her favorite things ever. My husband also has his hair cut by Sam, and it's super easy for him to schedule during his work day, since she's located in a convenient spot on Main Street in Williamsville. When we moved to the Southtowns a few years ago, there was no question that we'd continue to see Sam. The drive is absolutely worth it. Every friend that I've referred to Sam has also stayed with her, and they all make the drive too! Beyond the marvelous skill she has, she really is the kindest and sweetest person you'll ever meet. She is a joy to talk to and get to know, and I love when it's time to see her again. She's patient and kind, and just a lovely person. She runs on time...I can't remember ever having to wait. I'm not saying it doesn't ever happen, because that's life, but I can tell she works hard to keep things running smoothly. Making an appointment is super easy and so is payment. (She accepts cash, check, Venmo, and credit card.) Her salon is in a little salon suite, so it's just you and her, which is especially nice right now. She really is a fantastic hairstylist and person, and I highly recommend her to everyone!
