This was the perfect place to take in my wedding dress! Thank you!

All of my bridesmaids called in and visited Donna Beth Creations for their dresses and they were ordered 3-8 sizes too large for all of my bridesmaids. I would not recommend getting dresses here. They run racket of altering dresses. Fortunately all of my bridesmaids were out of state so Donna Beth creations missed out on twice the dress charges for alterations. Go somewhere that knows how to measure and order a dress of the appropriate size. Save yourself the frustration of having an alterations lady recut the entire dress. An entirely Frustrating and disappointing experience. read more

Now to be honest - I haven't seen the final product yet... BUT, so far I am VERY IMPRESSED! Donna Beth Creations was recommended to me by Brilliant Bridals. And I am so grateful! I live far away from family and so I'm doing all of the dress fittings on my own. I told this to Donna up front and she has done a wonderful job of guiding me and helping make decisions about things like the length of the train and whether or not to remove the crinolines. She is so sweet and kind - and although I just met her I absolutely trust her! I am so grateful to have found Donna. I went for my second dress fitting yesterday and the dress fits like a glove. Amazing. read more

For those of you who don't know, Donna Beth Creations is the finest alterations boutique in Denver. You'll feel it right as soon as you walk in to their mansion, which happens to be the original Denver governor's mansion. Donna herself is the fashion designer who designed Halle Berry's first wedding dress! Needless to say, the best of the best work at Donna Beth Creations. Impressions aside, after purchasing my wedding gown in Denver, the shop manager promptly handed Donna's card to me, telling me that Donna was the ONLY person who should touch my beautiful investment. I made an appointment that very day. Working with Donna and Elizabeth was an absolute dream. As a bride, there are so many worries and doubts that one has to deal with. Donna made the whole alterations process very easy and very reassuring. She was sweet (giving me a hug every time I saw her), accommodating (there was one day when I was very late, but she still made time to see me), and most importantly, a brilliant designer and wedding gown alterations specialist. On the day of my wedding, my dress fit me perfectly everywhere. And I won't lie; this was not walk-in-the-park for her given my chubby arms and back fat! My dress made me look trim and beautiful, and it was all due to the skill and talent that Donna put into my dress. I was so impressed with Donna Beth Creations that I even bought my bridesmaid dresses at her boutique. Of my bridesmaids, I have a girl who is pregnant, one who likes strapless dresses, one who likes cap sleeves, and one who is Mormon and had specific dress coverage needs. I was able to find a beautiful and unique dress for each girl all within the same designer, fabric, and color. And all of my bridesmaids loved them! I also purchased all of my jewelry through Donna Beth. They have the most beautiful jewelry that is all custom made. I purchased a pearl and crystal necklace and was able to add an entire extra strand of pearls, which was just what I wanted! The two mothers also bought their jewelry through the shop and both loved what they got. I apologize for writing a book! This is the short version of what I wrote originally. There just aren't enough good things to say about Donna Beth Creations. If you care about your wedding day, invest in the best. I certainly did. read more

Donna was a god send when I needed her at the last minute (two days before my wedding) to fix my dress that had not been done right at bridal design studio. She penciled me right in and knew exactly what needed to be done to ensure my dress would be 100% for my wedding day. I don't know what we would have done without her expertise and great big hug ensuring we would be OKAY. I can't thank you guys enough, my dress is now perfect like it should be and I also ended up getting my veil there too!!! read more

I LOVED everything about Donna and her team. The mansion she works out of is absolutely stunning. Going to my first fitting was the first time I felt like a bride. Donna did a fantastic job on my alterations and was also able to create more of a sweetheart neckline on my gorgeous wedding dress. ( at the bridal shop, they told me nobody would be able to take it from a modified sweetheart to a real sweetheart neckline) Go to Donna. You will not regret it!! read more

I was referred to Donna Beth by multiple wedding dress shops in Denver and told she can work miracles. She was super efficient from our first meeting and the lace on the dress looked just as beautiful after being taken in and placed back on the dress. Her studio is just gorgeous and her staff are super sweet as well. She did an amazing job lowering the back of the dress and taking out/putting back the boning on the dress. This particular alteration was about $150, which I thought was reasonable, but the total of alterations adds up quick and should definitely be taken into consideration when budgeting your wedding dress. The reasoning for the 3 star review however was due to the final two fittings and end product. The last fitting (out of 3 total) was still super loose in the bust and made me nervous since the next visit would be picking up the dress so there wouldn't be time to make any further adjustments if it didn't work. Well I came to pick it up and it was better but still loose up top and she said i would just need to use double-stick tape for this dress. If she had actually known it would be like that, I wish I had been told ahead of time because that would have changed my alteration request. The hook&eye back closure was still not on, which was okay since it was a quick fix for her, but was still adding to my worry. The biggest issue of my entire wedding day ended up being the fit of the dress, which is super unfortunate since it's the one item that is with you the whole time, in every picture, and feeling uncomfortable in it after spending that much money on the alterations was a huge disappointment. She provided an 'emergency kit' with the dress, but only the two pieces of stick tape so when they stopped sticking due to heat/sweat, i felt screwed. I continued to find pins still on the bottom of the skirt during the wedding, and the lace edge tore on the front so my bridesmaids had to safety pin it back. Then to top it all off, the bustle was just a bust. The coordinator and all 5 bridesmaids could not tell how to put it up and had all been in many weddings previously so that speaks for itself. I was told by DB that the bustle was super simple, numbered, and that she didn't need to show me because it was straight-forward. My bridal party said the opposite on all accounts. And not only was it not fully numbered and hard to figure out between the multiple layers, it broke. The bustle lasted for the first dance and then broke during shortly after walking around between the tables. Twice I had groups of girls come up and try to fix it and they said the ribbons had broken off the dress and they just knotted the remaining ones together so that I could carry the train on my arm in order to move around on the dance floor. While no one else could tell the top was loose, the bustle breaking was an added stress and made me so disappointed overall. I'm sure her work on dresses continues to be wonderful, but for all the money spent, it was not up to par with her reputation. read more

I don't like writing less than stellar reviews but the truth is your vendors can make or break your wedding so it's important to be honest - I had an okay experience here but had an issue that left my big day very uncomfortable. The positives - the store is beautiful, Donna Beth and her staff are very nice and they do beautiful work. The negative was my bustle ripped early on in the night, which left the entire evening very uncomfortable. When we went into the shop to pick up my dress, my mom tried to take a video of how to do the bustle in case it broke. Donna told her it wasn't necessary because it was easy, showed us quickly how to tie it, handed us a kit to fix it (but didn't show us how to use it) and then sent us on our way. Well, my bustle RIPPED before my first dance and my wedding planner, Mom and friends all tried to fix it but couldn't. I ended up not being able to do the dance my husband and I planned on because my dress was too long and I had an awkward moment where I accidentally left my Dad on the dance floor to try and get my bustle fixed. Four people tried to no avail to fix it (it actually ripped) and I spent the night holding my dress up to dance. This SUCKED and was embarrassing and I'm holding up my dress in my pictures! When I said something to the shop they said - "bustles break all the time, we gave you a kit to fix it", and blew it off. That's easy for them to say but the reality is they didn't adequately prepare us for how to fix it and if four people couldn't fix it, that's on them! It meant I couldn't wear my shoes that I spent over $100 on because they weren't tall enough for me to dance in (and I wore my regular everyday work shoes), I couldn't do the dance that my husband and I spent $250 learning because I could barely move, I couldn't use a good number of my pictures from the reception because I was holding my dress awkwardly ($3k on pictures!) and I had embarrassing moments where people thought I just left the dance floor to go pee but really people were scrambling to fix my bustle. It wasn't minor. It was the main thing that made my wedding uncomfortable. On top of that, a headband that I bought there broke into a bunch of little pieces (thankfully after the wedding in my room). Well, if you go here, don't leave without a tutorial and make sure someone in your wedding party knows EXACTLY what to do. Otherwise, you might have one of the most uncomfortable nights of your life. read more

Excellent service and quality work, highly recommended! Very cordial and knowledgable, also awesome prices. I came here just a few weeks before my wedding with a gown I'd ordered online that I couldn't even put on because it fit so badly. Donna made it look even better than it did when I bought it and made it fit like a glove, all with time to spare! Could not be happier. read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Donna Beth Creations. I received my dress pretty close to my wedding date and Donna was able to make all of the necessary alterations within the short 1-2 month timeframe and also create straps that I could snap in and out of the dress. The staff was always so friendly and Donna was amazing to work with and really helped me understand the alterations she was going to be doing (mostly in the bust area). I also got an awesome bracelet- on sale!- to wear with my dress. It was so perfect! I couldn't thank her more!! Definitely check out Donna Beth Creations. read more

Was fairly disappointed in the customer service here, especially after reading all the wonderful reviews. I called to make an appointment to have an alteration to the neck line and received a reasonable quote. However, at my appointment I felt pressured into adding things to the alterations. I mentioned that I was happy with the length and did not want it hemmed and then was told I would "trip and fall at my reception." I understand they are the experts, but it's my dress and my wishes and I did not appreciate the negativity. Furthermore, when paying I was overcharged. Donna Beth stated she would process the credit card refund for me right there. When I checked my statement though, it had never gone through. She said that she could only do a partial refund through check. Well then why was this not offered the first time?!!! I will say the work was well done but I felt really uncomfortable in the way things were handled and I certainly wouldn't recommend this place to any of my girlfriends. read more

I wanted to be able to give this place a better review because it is a beautiful location with luxurious fitting rooms and a very friendly staff. However, I was the maid of honor for my best friend who experienced the same exact problem as someone has already mentioned- The dress was waay too tight! I went to the final dress fitting with my friend, and they told us that the dress had to sit on her for 45 minutes before actually being able to zip it up. I had never heard of such a thing. My own wedding dress fit perfectly and comfortably after the alterations, so I questioned this. They said the dress would breathe and form to her and fit perfectly after 45 minutes or so. So come the wedding day, we had her stay in her dress with it half-way unzipped until we got to the ceremony venue for pictures. We zipped it up and the clip broke immediately. Luckily we had safety pins just in case because I was very weary of this situation. We pinned the dress, but she didn't get all the pictures she wanted because we had to spend time pinning the dress. The dress stayed pinned through the ceremony, but it was so tight, she did not want to wear it at the reception, so we brought her a different dress to wear at the reception. My friend had the most beautiful wedding, and it broke my heart to see her in tears about the dress. It should not have been that tight, especially for the price of alterations!! read more

Donna and her amazing team altered my wedding dress perfectly! I love their approach to altering - I paid one fee for 4 fittings so they could get the dress just right (which they did!). I had my last fitting the day I picked up the dress. During each fitting, Donna was right there....measuring, on the floor pinning, etc. Donna and all her staff are complete sweethearts - full of compliments, questions about your big day, and very welcoming. The shop in Cherry Creek North is adorable - I loved the big changing/fitting rooms - all my girlfriends could be in the room with me and enjoy sitting on a comfortable couch while Donna and her ladies did their thing. I never felt rushed through the fittings - they let me keep my dress on for however long I wanted. I looked forward to each fitting - they made it such a fun experience! Thank you Donna and your talented team! I recommend having Donna alter your dress - you will not be disappointed! read more
