We order via the app. A order of barbecue wings, with two dressing, a salad with Italian dressing with extra pepperoni and cheese. And an order of Asiago cheese bread baked lightly The order showed up on time but the wings were burnt and dry. The salad had four pieces of pepperoni. Didn't seem to have extra cheese and had green peepers l; that salad doesn't come with green peppers. The bread was to their defense lightly baked very lightly baked (doughy) so we called and the Mananger was polite and apologized and said that they would remake it and send it out. Well, 5 min later we get a call and she said that she talked to the ones making the order and they said it was correct and if we didn't agree with it any further that we could call and talk to the Mananger tomorrow CLICK!!! She hung up. I will never buy anything from Donatos again. But hey they don't have to do their job just show up to get a check. read more

Amazing thin crust pizza... I'd never thought I'd say this but I really wish this franchise exists in North Beach (Little Italy in San Francisco)!!! I live there, proud of my hometown and its Italian heritage but I dare say Donato's pizza is superior to Tony's Pizza, North Beach Pizza and the Pizza Guy (the three best pizza places in North Beach, San Francisco, California). Me and my boyfriend ordered pizza here and when we went threw the drive-through a girl told use we didn't order it.... Why would one tell us that when obviously we did so i told the girl to go ask someone els and sure enough she came back with our pizza.. Sigh.. But the amazing pizza made up for it. read more

My first order with this establishment and let me just say I was not only impressed with the quality of food but even more so with the service! From the young lady answering the phone and delivering our pizzas to speaking with the Manager about a special order we had...they went above and beyond customer service. I know these are trying times of the Covid-19 but even though they just went out of their way to make sure order was right and took care of us! Very thankful! There are several important tasks that need doing when moving to a new city. Finding local services like gas, supermarkets and hospitals. Locating interesting things to do in your new city. Most importantly though, identifying the best local pizza place reigns supreme among those necessary tasks that must be performed. After eating an amazing pizza from Donatos I can check that task off my list. I came across Donatos after doing a google search for local pizza delivery. It was the first store that came up that wasn't easily identifiable as one of the major national chains. After checking their website and seeing the claim that there were over 100 pepporoni's per large pie, i was in. The pizza was delivered timely and hot. Opening the box, I was surprised the slices were not the conventional pie slice but some sort of weird longitudinal slice. I found manipulating the pizza itself to be difficult at first. But once I tasted it, I knew I had to get it into my mouth by whatever means necessary. the sauce was well spiced, very tangy. The toppings--pepperoni, tomato, mushroom--were all fresh and equally well spiced. The crust was thin and crisp. I found myself having to refrigerate the leftovers because I was so full from the delicious goodness. The fridge tends to freeze food. Even after thawing the pizza out and eating it cold (we don't have a microwave or oven pan), it was still very good. YUM! read more

We were visiting and the first night there we went to Donatos. This appeared to be a local joint with a mix of younger and older folks. There is a second and third floor used for additional seating and dancing on the third floor when the band is in town. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and side salads. I got the italian pizza which was ok, not great. They have a very large selection of local beers. I sampled a couple and wound up ordering a Bud Light (lol). Ordered with the app Large pep, Small cheese, Big Don Sausage, and Italian salad at 6:40 pm Friday, January 28th. Estimated delivery on app was 7:37 pm. 8:06 pm called the store. We were told, "We got slammed, it is out for delivery. Call back in a half-hour if it wasn't delivered". At 8:45 pm I called back and our Sub was still there but the pizza went out. The girl on the phone said, "The sub is here but the pizza went out. I don't know what's going on." She asked did we want the order re-made. She said we would have our pizza in 45 minutes. My wife canceled the order. This type of service is unacceptable. Obviously, your store management is incapable of a busy Friday night. If you can't manage the app then you should get new programmers. If you cannot manage a busy night then get a competent manager and provide adequate training. If you are short staff then cut your profits and increase the salary of your line staff. This is not the first time this store has provided poor service and cold pizza. Very disappointed that when I went through the drive thru, not a single worker in the store was wearing a mask. During this COVID-19 pandemic, that was shocking to me. Also not certain they were wearing gloves. We won't be back for a while which is a shame since we love Donatos pizza. read more

Very tasty food, friendly wait staff, lousy drivers, lazy manager. We ate here and had an enjoyable meal with tasty pizza (the pepperoni duo is quite nice) and were leaving quite happy. As we were backing out of our parking spot, we were almost hit by a pickup truck. We stopped and saw a Donato's delivery guy step out and head into the restaurant. I called the manager to ask him to talk to the driver. The manager's response was, "yeah, I get a lot of complaints about him." I responded with, "if you get a lot of complaints, do something about it." His reply was, "I'm not going to fire him over it." I tried to explain that I wasn't asking for anyone to get fired - I was only suggesting that simply talking to the guy apparently isn't working. He said he would talk to him again. This is lazy and unacceptable. They have a dangerous driver that they get a "lot of complaints about" and they do nothing. To the owner of Donato's: do something before someone gets hurt and do it now! read more

A car almost hit me backing up without looking and the fresh pizza in the back seat slid to the ground when I slammed the brakes ... went in, explained, and a wonderful man named Greg not only remade the pizza in the middle of a huge rush of HS students, but made me feel better about the situation.
