The worst service I have ever received. The girl, Nancy, was rude as soon as we walked in the door. We asked about their special with 3 pizzas her response was no substitutions. We asked what came on the honey pizza she replied very rudely with "honey". It just kept getting worse after that. Then she flat out refused to take our order, told us to leave. I placed my order on the website it said it would be finished at 1230. I arrived at the drive thru a few mins early. I looked over to see if anyone was in the drive thru and I didn't see any workers. This is the Dixie Highway location of this pizza chain. It has the normal pizzeria fare with pizza, hoagies, salads, and wings. On this only my second visit to a Donatos and first in many years. I kept it simple as I got the Serious Meat Pizza. It came with pepperoni, shaved ham, sausage, ground beef, and hardwood smoked bacon. As you can see they piled on lots of meats and all of them were uniquely delicious in their own way. The sausage in particular was really awesome as it had kick and flavour like few sausages I've ever had. The sauce was middle of the road and the ultra thin crust was a good base for it all. The service was fine and the store was clean so thats good. A good place to go on a Friday night or to have delivered to you on a rainy day/night. read more

First don't be surprised that you are met with signs "pickup only" when you go to walk in the door. Since I expect to order at the location, I pulled around the drive through, where I was met with a distasteful employee, who looked like pizza was not the only thing she was cooking in the kitchen. This past week, we ordered pizza from this Donato's location and it was awful. The pizza was doughy, the cheese was barely melted, and it arrived 45 min late. They would not answer the phone when we called to check on the status of the pizza either. This location used to be good, but since covid, it's routinely been TERRIBLE. From order to eating, it was 48 minutes. We ordered Donatos delivery via GrubHub last night. They were out of the dough we wanted but called us a couple minutes after receiving the order to offer something else. The delivery itself took right up to the top-end of the estimated timeframe, but it was there within it. So, the pizza! The sauce was surprisingly tasty, especially so because we ordered thin crust and there wasn't a lot of sauce as a result. The veggies boasted each of their unique flavors as a harmony of leafy, animal-saving goodness. With that said, the "quantity vs cost" scale leaned heavily into the "cost" category. While I wouldn't expect to have Dominos/Pizza Hut-sized portions, I would have hoped for more. The thin crust was *very* thin and held relatively few toppings considering the cost. Side salads also left a bit to be desired because the portions were small. With the portions in mind, I give a solid three stars and will eat again if I'm in a pinch for quick food that tastes better than the 'big box' companies. read more

Ordered a large Chicken Spinach Mozzarella pizza that was $17. The pizza came to me with 0 chicken on it. The "manager" said I would get a credit for the pizza. And this is the second time I have ordered this same pizza and there was no chicken on it. I called tonight to place an order and use my credit to find out I was only credited $7. This same store has messed up this same pizza for me a few times by consistently leaving off the chicken. I even emailed a picture of the pizza after their ridiculous pizza maker kept wanting to insist she put chicken on it. She needs to be fired and there needs to be new management. I couldn't even take the pizza I ordered. The view from the pick up window was disgusting. Not one person was wearing the masks over their mouth or nose. I watched the girl getting the pizzas out of the oven wipe her mouth before she pulled out a pizza and cut it. She later used the pizza spatula to open some canned energy drink. Yes,go here! My first time ordering from this Donato's (for delivery) and I ordered the Steak Hoagie with cheese and mushroom sauce, w/ no mush, add tomatoes. Initially, when I asked the assistant manager who answered the phone about ordering something different form pizza,he was genuinely friendly and he knew his stuff. I ordered for delivery and it was fast and hot. I mean the sandwich was HOT. I had asked them when I called it in, if they would cut it in half and they said they always do, which is good because I don't have a way to cut it at work. The best in a long time; I have to say it exceeded expectations; haven't had a steak hoagie that good since the late eighties for sure. Great attitude on the phone ordering and that was a positive. I have always liked Donatos ever since I moved to Kentucky from North East Ohio in 2001. I have not liked the sauces in other places because I thought they had a sweet taste, but at Donatos, their sauce is excellent! I would give their service 5 stars, they are always friendly and repeat your order to ensure accuracy. I have always dined in, and I believe the party room is free to have for parties (but make sure you call and ask because I may have been misinformed.) The only thing I do not like about their pepperoni pizzas is that sometimes the pepperoni is overcooked and hard on the edges. This, however, is rare and does not take away from the flavor of the pizzas. No other pizza place can compare to them, from their excellent wings to their delicious pizzas, I would give them 5 stars if they never overcooked the pepperoni. read more

When we walked in the door all the employees were talking in the back and did not take our order until we waved our hands and said "hello?" Even then one employee took their time coming up to the register. This employee was new and no one was there to help when they entered our order incorrectly 2 separate times. Once our pizza was delivered to us it was room temperature, like it had been out of the oven for some time. Can't get a simple order right whether calling it in on the phone or ordering online. Simple things like, oh you know, just getting Ranch with your chicken wings. And when you get tired of that happening, and then call the actual store, to let them know that it's happened (Wings delivered with NO RANCH) multiple times (3+ times) and that you just put an order in online..... the store Manager (Michael) checks, see's your order and then apologizes for all the messed up previous orders and promises that they'll take $10 0ff the current order AND "I'll make sure that we even send you out some extra Ranch with this order Sir!" and then 30 minutes later that order arrives and guess what???? Yep, NOT A SINGLE THING OF RANCH! So you call the store back, talk to Michael again and ask "Did my previous call to you JUST TO MAKE SURE you guys don't screw the order up piss you off because I pointed out your stores incompetence, so you intentionally make sure that NO RANCH goes out with the order WE JUST SPOKE about on the phone, and he apologizes up one side and down the other. And even says "I'll give you a store credit, of $20 for your next order sir!". Okay fine, I'll give you guys ONE LAST chance. A few days later, I call an order in, and even tho the employee who I spoke to on the phone "SEES" that there's a "$20 credit" on my account (On my phone number), yet I tell him that "Nope, the entire price of the order went through and was charged to my debit card!" and he then apologizes and tells me that I can't speak to Michael because he's not there (He's there any other time during the evening hours), says he's not there because he's at a funeral. Okay, well, I offer my condolences and the employee tells me "Michael will be back in tomorrow morning.... I'm writing him a note right now that he needs to REFUND $20 to your card sir".... Okay. Guess what never happened!!!! Yep, the $20 credit/refund is NEVER ISSUED (Over a week later at this point). So I call in tonight to talk to "Michael". First attempt, the phone just rings (30 times). No voicemail, nothing. So I hang up, thinking "Fine, they've got my phone number flagged and aren't going to answer my calls anymore!". I call back 5 minutes later. Some young kid answers the phone. I ask for the Manager, Michael. "Oh, Michaels not available sir". I ask when he will be. "He won't be back until tomorrow, he works 11am-3pm. I say "So when's the next time Michael/a Manager WILL BE in the store during evenings hours (6:30pm timeframe), the kid says "Uhm...... never". I say "That's funny, for the past 3 years Michael has always been there in the evenings (I know this because I've had to call before with issues and even stopped in to the store and spoke with him in person.... that's fine, I'll just post my story online and get ahold of your Corporate offices". The kid says "Okay, Bye". This store will never get another dime of my money and I will make sure to let everybody know to stay away from this location. By day, I am a Director of Customer Service, and the last time Michael and I spoke, I even explained that to him and told him (In a very nice tone, not argumentative, not screaming.... very calm and cool headed) that if the level of incompetence happened at my place of business like it does at their store location, someone would be (would have long ago) losing their damn job. Is it that big a deal, what has transpired??? No, it's not. It's a simple order that they can't even handle correctly. What has motivated me to even take 10 minutes out of my life and post this, is the mere fact that I have been lied to, directly, 3 times about how they were going to make right, the wrongs they have done at this store. Guess who's going to get a visit from me, in person, at the store in a couple of days. And I'm sure.... I'd bet my next paycheck on it, that when I walk in, unnanounced (Them not knowing I'm coming), I'll bet my next paycheck AND a body appendage, that sure enough, MICHAEL will be standing right there behind the counter. I went to the restaurant with my Fiance and we waited forever for them to take our order (despite the fact that they were not busy) I ordered a pizza, and waited forever to get my pizza-just to find out it was not what I had ordered. After standing at the counter again forever, someone finally came to the counter and very rudely told me they no longer had the type of pizza we ordered....so instead they gave me an alternative without letting me know.... I think I am done with Donato's. Donato's used to be my favorite pizza. But this is the 3rd less than favorable review I've written about Donato's, all different locations. This time I ordered on line. After I finished my order, I put in the address of my hotel in and the app switched restaurant locations and raised the price of my order. I approved it. My order included an extra salad dressing, bacon and green olives for my salad. I was charged extra for the dressing and bacon. Shortly after I sent my order, I received a call from the restaurant that they did not have one of my toppings for the pizza. I said fine and added a different topping. When my order arrived (about 8 minutes after promised, which wasn't bad), there was only one dressing, and no olives or bacon on my salad, and the new topping for the pizza was almost non existent. The pizza was cold and the crust that was supposed to be crispy was soggy as a dish rag. I think I might be moving to LaRosa's when in Cincinnati. read more
