I entered this pub, got the weirdest vibe (bad) and so did my wife. We felt immediately unwelcome and so we immediately left.

This is a great spot to have an app and catch some March madness…read more The service was 5/5 or waitress was attentive and engaging asking for feedback on our drinks and food while also being fast on a Friday afternoon For food we went with some items from their st pats menu, the Irish nachos were basically cheese fries. But they were good, it was the right amount of cheese to waffle fry. For my main I got the Reuben which was Ok but a bit of a let down. Really heavy sauerkraut and thousand island flavor. The fries also were a little over cooked for my taste. All in all would go back for the massive bar and solid appetizers along with excellent service.

The bolognese here is next level especially when you ask for pepper flakes on the side and extra sauce. Absolutely amazing. And fair warning I learned the hard way that this bolognese is not on every Tavern menu so when you find it appreciate it fully. Service is always warm and efficient from the moment you walk in. It feels easy and welcoming every single time. They also have a rewards system which is a nice little bonus for a spot we already frequent. This is one of our favorite local date night places. Cozy vibes great food and consistent quality keep us coming back over and over. Hubby swears by the chicken ranch sandwich and the fish and chips and honestly he is not wrong. Pop in enjoy the food enjoy the vibes and stay a while. We sometimes stay for hours and just talk and flirt!

The food and service were not up to snuff, as our waitress was rather slow and inattentive. The salad I ordered was STILL not correct in that it featured items which I specifically asked to be removed. I did note that my salad was brought out in a bowl and not a sheet pan, which was an improvement over last time. The thing was that there were less than 10 people in the restaurant at the time as we arrived around noontime and I would have thought that the waitstaff would have had the time to attend to us in a proper fashion, but they were content to mill about close to the bar area. The drinks were OK and though not spectacular, were still good and met with my expectations. Apparently, management has yet to take appropriate steps to ensure that the waitstaff is attentive and the food is brought out properly. My wife ordered things that were more in line with this restaurant's strengths and she thought everything was fine, but as with the last time I was here, it seemed that little attention was paid to dishes that are not fried or battered in some way. While I realize that it is impossible to be all things to all people, when I order something at a restaurant, I expect it to be perfect considering the prices. All in all, I will not be returning to this place unless some serious improvements are made not only in the quality of the dishes, but in the attentiveness of the staff.

Haven't been to The Range in quite a while - like a couple of years - but having recently moved…read moreback to the neighborhood, we decided to try it again for a weekday lunch. It was a mixed bag of responses from our group, seated past any lunch rush in a nearly empty dining room. A day after St. Patrick's day, I tried a special of Beef Stew. I found it was . . . meh at best, A little too salty for my taste, and it seemed to be getting down to the end of it. One potato wedge, 2 carrot slices, a few bobbles of stew beef and a lot of thick, over-salted stew. The accompanying wedge of soda bread had 2 hefty butter slices that couldn't save the dryness, but Irish soda bread is always a hit or miss prospect. On the other hand, a takeout Wedge Salad had everything I could dream of putting on a wedge of iceberg, accompanied by a healthy piece of delicious salmon that was cooked perfectly. A Reuben sandwich was full and seemed to please one of our party- the most difficult one to please - and the giant pile of french fries that cozied up to it looked like twice-cooked salty goodness. The third in our party had a simple Garden Salad that, like the Wedge, looked like it was a good salad. Coffee was good, and served alongside a little tray of a petite creamer, sugar and a single spoon was just a simple but sweet touch on a gloomy day. For me, the standout was the responsive waitstaff- servers were professional, informative about the menu and friendly without being overly pushy to order - the best combination. Overall, it was good and probably would be a lot better with more careful menu choices next time. And I'll definitely return for another Wedge Salad!

This place has a neighborhood bar and grill feel with a nice driving range (and pro shop) out back. In my opinion, it's a 5-star atmosphere with 4-star food and drinks. We visited on a Thursday night and the place was PACKED. The parking lot was completely full with cars overflowing onto the side of the main road outside. I can't imagine how crazy it is on the weekend. We got on the waiting list after finally finding parking, and it was about 45 minutes until we got a table. No complaints though since it was the perfect amount of time for my husband to hit the driving range, and there's a little outdoor bar where you can grab a drink while you wait. There's lots of indoor and outdoor seating, and while there were people of all ages drinking, golfing, or enjoying a meal, it's all definitely very family-friendly with lots of kids running around. The food itself was actually better than we expected, though a bit overpriced. I get the sense people are really coming here for the golf and the vibes more than anything else. Since that's what we were expecting, we were pretty satisfied with the quality of the wings, fried haddock sandwich, and strawberry salad we split. I also tried the Cool As a Cucumber cocktail and was super happy with it. Not too sweet and nice and refreshing on a hot day sitting outside. With lots of golfers in my family, I have a feeling this won't be our last visit!
