    Birria tacos

Great little gem in Passaic for authentic Mexican food. Make sure to bring cash as they don't accept cards, but no worries if you forget because they do have an ATM inside. There is Mexican decor everywhere, so you really feel like you're in Mexico when you step inside! Servers are friendly and food comes out pretty quick. We went with the large guacamole and it was a good starter. Birria tacos are delicious and highly recommended. If you order the chicken quesadillas like I did you might not even need a starter because I was absolutely stuffed with the 3 pieces it came with. Tasty though!

It's taco Tuesday! It's starting to feel a bit more like spring now a days so hubby and I went to try this spot that my friend Sheila recommended. Overall the place is beautiful. It's spacious and has all kinds of Mexican art on the walls. No one really greeted us upon entering so we went to where the bar area was and asked if we could just sit anywhere. We went straight to the bathrooms soon after sitting down and being given menus. I really appreciate a clean bathroom especially during these times and they had a Fabuloso clean smelling one ;) We came for the $1 tacos and the hype of how good they were. I ordered two steak and two chorizo. They were delicious! Definitely made my Mexican heart happy. My husband had two steak, two cabeza (tender cow head meat), and one chicken. He had me try the cabeza ones and they were so tender we had to take some to go. One thing I didn't really appreciate was that our server didn't really introduce herself. It would have been nice to know her name. Would of made the experience a bit more amicable. She never once asked how we were liking it or what we thought. Or if we needed anything else. She had about 5 or 6 tables so she seemed busy but still no excuse. I used to be a waitress but I learned that just communicating a bit more will go a very long way. It felt like we were telling her what to do next every step of the way until we left. Her attitude about that was not very good either she seemed annoyed by us. Overall I enjoyed the food and the space despite the lack of service. I will definitely be back and recommend to my friends and family. How can you beat the $1 tacos! We ended up getting 14 tacos all together and two drinks for $20. Very affordable.

The best dollar taco I have ever tasted so far. I keep coming back! My fav taco to order are the chorizo and bistec ones. And you also have the option to order the taco with one tortilla since they normally come with two. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is that they only accept cash.

Live music plus dollar tacos? You can't go wrong with either or. The tacos are truly worth the $1 dollar. They also have different Mexican drinks, where the cantarito is one of their best. It's a combination of juices with some light tequila, sprinkled with Mexican spicy candy on the edges. Definitely recommend visiting this place if you're around the area

Tacos were good but the service was awful, I ordered over $100 in tacos since I was having a get together with my family, I asked for onions & nopales but the only thing I received was tacos no nopales & no onions.

4.5 stars My friend…read moreand I were going to a concert in Rutherford and wanted to grab dinner beforehand. There were so many excellent options on Park Avenue that it was hard to select one, but we wound up settling on Suprema. The restaurant was an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and was, thankfully, very warm and cozy inside on that chilly evening. The service that we experienced throughout the night was also very friendly and gracious. After we were seated, we were told that the restaurant was BYO and that there was a liquor store across the street. I decided to quickly run over and grab a bottle of wine, since we had some time to enjoy our meal before the show started. In addition to the bottle of red, we began our dinner with a complementary bread basket and an appetizer to share. Sadly, the slices of bread were rather dry and hard, so I only indulged in a few bites. However, our Rice Ball starter was unbelievable! We received three massive, fried spheres of creamy risotto and gooey mozzarella that were sitting in a sweet, herbaceous basil pomodoro sauce. They were honestly the best arancini I thought I had ever had! For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Porcini, which included two large Bell & Evans boneless chicken breasts, served over a light, creamy golden potato puree. The poultry was topped with fresh, roasted cremini and porcini mushrooms, as well as a sweet wine and porcini glaze. It felt like an upscale, modern version of a chicken marsala. I adored every aspect of the dish, from the tender chicken to the aromatic mushrooms to the homestyle mashed potatoes (an item I do not even typically like). Suprema provided a stellar meal in a relaxed atmosphere that was the perfect pre-concert vibe we were looking for. Plus, the food was amazing, so we definitely made a wise choice in picking the place.

Highlights: Fried Calamari and meatball appetizers were great!…read more Mid-lights: The vodka chicken parm with rigatoni was good, but the chicken was a little too soft/soggy. Also the portions were a little small. Lowlights: The restaurant was a little understaffed, wait times for water, to take our order, to get our food was extremely long. 4 dishes ordered and dinner was 2.5 hours... Overall the food was good but pricey for what it was.

Came during brunch but was really hankering for their French dip sandwich. A tad bit of a bummer,…read morebut on the bright side I got to try out their brunch menu! We tried the Ham & Brie Croissant with Tavern Fries. The Croissant was big enough for two of us to share and SOO good. I had the Golden Peach Martini while my girlfriend ordered the Brown Butter Old Fashioned. I'm not typically one to order an Old Fashioned so I always try hers out -- this has to be a top 5 for me!! This was my second time coming to Union. I had initially come in the fall for a Yelp Elite event but I've been wanting to come back ever since. For a "bar," their food and drink list is elevated and better than most! Shout out to our server Mariah! She said the bar had poured too much prosecco for another table, so we got to enjoy some complimentary prosecco -- can't let that go to waste! ;) Parking in East Rutherford can be tough at times, but I do love that Union has their own lot with plenty of parking. It just makes choosing a place to go easier!

Ownership really did a great job creating a very cool, city-style, modern atmosphere. Before writing this review, I had to really think about what UB&P really is and (duh!) the name says it all. This is more of a bar first and food ( provisions) secondary. As long as you visit with this in mind you should have a good experience. Well lit, well stocked bar with as pair of large TVS for watching a game. Not a craft beer bar but ok on the wine selection and it has an interesting craft cocktail list. However the drinks sounded better than they were made. My dining companion and I have had our fair share of Old Fashions and Lychee-style martinis. The versions here GOLDEN PEACH MARTINI & BROWN BUTTER WASHED OLD FASHIONED fell flat. At $16-18 per, they need to get better. As for food, a very small menu ( which I do like at times) but this one doesn't have anything that says "I have to try that!" Again I'm feeling that what with all the great restaurants in the next town it makes sense to push the alcohol here more than the food. We split he hummus platter which was very good; For our main course: the house burger ( with fries) and meatloaf ( with sauteed spinach and pureed potatoes). The burger was very good and cooked as ordered. The meatloaf was good\ok, but I have the opinion that most of us already have a version of our favorite meatloaf from somewhere else ( mom's, spouse's, our own). A side of cornbread was ordered too. I find most places make it too dry but this version was very good. Do NOT expect to have dessert here as it is almost non-existent. No menu and only a few generic choices like cheesecake, chocolate cake, creme brulee ( they had 1 left on a Wednesday night! really? ) Anyway, good place for catching the game with some drinks. Food here if needed to keep the night going. They just need to do a little work on those cocktails.

Absolutely lives up to the hype!…read more The pastrami is insanely tender like melt in your mouth kind of good. The sandwich is definitely messy, but that's how you know it's done right when its packed and stacked with meat! Even with a line out the door, the guys behind the counter cutting the meat are friendly and keep things moving. They even hand out samples while you wait, which makes the whole experience feel welcoming (and honestly makes the wait easier).

The fries are steak fries, which I don't typically love but it worked well as a vehicle for the pastrami. The corned beef is a bit dry. We had some pierogies but these were superrrr oily. We also ordered a matzoh ball soup because I've never had it before. But the second I saw them microwave it in a plastic container, I knew I had made a mistake. It was basically just a matzoh ball in very salty chicken bouillon water. I'm sad that was my first matzoh ball soup experience but am not deterred from finding a real one elsewhere. Based on my previous visit and this one, it seems like you should just stick to a classic pastrami sandwich. It's big enough to share between two people. Next time, I'd like to dine in and eat it fresh. The sandwiches also come with a bunch of pickles, which was nice. Tip #1 - there is a parking lot but because there are so many stores and it's next to Bratek Deli, it's a nightmare. It did also happen to be Good Friday, so maybe that made it worse? I don't remember it being that bad the first time around. Tip #2 - I called ahead to place my order but still had to wait 15 minutes extra after the quoted time. They prioritize walk-in customers, so you might as well just order in store.
