Located in a shopping plaza right on PSN (North Hialeah) Don Pollo is a solid spot to eat some Peruvian style rotisserie chicken. I stopped by the night before one of my 5K's to carb up. A more garlicky and cumin based seasoning compared to regular rotisserie chicken, makes it that much juicier and with a crispier skin. My rice had the right balance of grains and stickiness, plus the black beans were pretty well seasoned. Anyway, food was hard enough that I had enough energy to have a really good running pace. The space was fairly clean and the cashier was pleasant. read more

Don Pollo Rotisserie & Grill - Half rotisserie chicken, maduros, black beans & rice - Latin American Near Me - Hialeah, Florida

The thing that stood out to me the most about this restaurant is their cleanliness! Even the restrooms, I was so impressed. The food is great. Flavorful, fresh, great quality. I didn't get any photos of the black beans that came with our meals however they're so rich and tasty! Also we were provided with small containers of all of their sauces. My favorite is their pico de gallo. The service was quick and the employees are so pleasant. It is a Peruvian restaurant, so you'll also find some Asian inspired dishes on the menu. read more

No line, food was cooked to order and quickly. Restaurant seating area seemed outdated but clean. I ordered the #11 which is black beans, rice and chicken breast. It was a HUGE serving could feed 2 people. It was also very flavorful definitely better than most nearby chicken spots. I tried the sauces my favorite was the spicy garlic, but all the others were also good. Oh and the best part was the price $12 for all this deliciousness. read more

Food is plain but good. But the music while you sit and eat to way way too loud. I know it's a Latin place , so they will play Latin music, but for Christ sake, turn it down, it's not a night club. I don't think yelling at my wife just to talk is appropriate. read more

This place is similar to Pollo Tropical and La Granja, but it feels a little less like a chain establishment, with slightly higher quality food. I can't say I loved my meal, as the chicken was a little dry and underseasoned, the beans a little soupy, and the vegetables cooked from frozen, but for around $10 for a complete meal, it certainly wasn't bad. Also, the restaurant itself was very clean and the service was impeccable. I'm going to round up from 3.5* and will probably return to try something else on the menu. read more

For years, I've driven past Don Pollo, curious about the food but never stopping to try it. That was until Uber Eats started advertising their buy-one-get-one specials. Since then, whether for pick-up or delivery, it's become my go-to spot for a healthy, quick dinner. My favorites are the quarter chicken and the beef stir-fry (lomo saltado), both of which come with two sides. You really can't go wrong with any of the sides, but I usually go for white rice and black beans, french fries, sweet plantains, or tostones. For an extra burst of flavor, I highly recommend adding the creamy or spicy garlic sauce...it's a game-changer! read more

This will probably become my new go to lunch spot for the area. I have only ordered one plate from Don Pollo for takeout, but it was very delicious. The special fried rice was filling, loaded with protein, and overall a great value. I will be back to order more fried rice and try some of their other offerings. The flavor and quality was good ! read more

This is a fast-food spot with more traditional foods. They serve chicken, steak, porkchops and have a wide array of items on their menu. Inside has a very simple decor. I normally just go through the drive thru when ordering my meal. I order the chicken meal with rice /beans. The chicken is always fresh and well-seasoned. From what I can see a lot of ppl come here to pick up food. A lot of times there is a wait with drive thru orders but it definitely worth the wait. I always order the same thing so I dnt know about the rest of the menu, but the chicken is really good. read more

Not fancy but the food is amazing. Best Brasa chicken in the city! We love to order in from here and the chicken is always moist and made to perfection. Definitely a place that is loved by locals but is great for anyone who is looking for some good rotisserie chicken. The food is always amazingly fresh and ready so quickly! Best service ever! The food portions are perfect I always order the quarter chicken which is perfect for me. But we opt for the half chicken if we are very hungry or if we want to save some for lunch the next day. This new Pollo joint is technically new in the neighborhood. So as a family, we decided to give it a shot yesterday since we had run out of our homemade cooked lunch. I bought the first item under Family Meal with two Large sides. That was 4 pieces of chicken with three sauces and a box for each side. In all honesty the meal was good but, I thought that the box for the yuca was maybe too big for the proportion. Which gives you the wrong expectation. Also to note that the first meal does not include any side it's just four pieces of chicken. So if you want rice and beans you need to add those sides to your order. Meaning, it is not an automatic added item. The fried Yuca and the sauces were my favorite. Tostones were ok and chicken was good but nothing special for my particular taste. Just a normal roasted chicken They have drive-through, which is great for these rainy and pandemic days. There may be a wait if about 15-20 for dinner time- after work. read more

Really good chicken and plantains were DELICIOUS. Their sauces always make any food a million times better too.

This is a Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken Spot mainly, but offers 23 other Peruvian dish. Service was good friendly & FChicken was goodish,(better than Publix) but black beans too salty & maduro fried bananas were a little dry. The side sauce with onion they offered from Creamy Garlic, Cilantro Garlic, Spicy Garlic were excellent. Saw that had a huuge catering order being picked up. Interior looked clean & Updated, wish they had a little Peruvian background music playing. read more

Great tasting roasted chicken. Better than than the Boston market that was further down the road. We got a whole chicken with white rice and French fries. The rice had a garlicky taste but not overpowering. Ordered for pickup and it was super hot when I got home and served it. Will definitely return to try other items on their menu. read more

Definitely avoid this place as the drive through is a 20 minute wait and that is not the worst part as the food is disgusting. I ordered lomo salteado and it was greasy and salty ended up throwing it away. read more

Yes, yes I am about to do this. This place here....THIS PLACE HERE! Is literally a 5 star spot in my book. It's been a few years since my last 5 star review. Let me be clear Don Pollo has officially tied with La Granja for one of my favorite places to get simple white rice and black beans done CORRECTLY!!!!! Let me be clear living in miami there are A MILLION places you can get simple white rice and black beans but that doesn't mean they are do it right. Yeah, I know shocking. I love the simplicity of well done food. I ordered for the billionth time (I know that's not a word) Chicken Breast with White Rice/Black Beans and tostones. Why I say the food is yummy that would be an understatement. I have NO complaints. Well season and cooked perfectly is all I can ask for. Listen I barely had enough time to take a picture of the food because my mouth took over my body. This place is a must try! Period!!!! This not up for debate....TRY IT YALL! read more

Great food and great customer service. Good price for the amount of food you get. Don pollo never disappoints!!

I love this place it's similar to pollo tropical and la granja but to me it's more fresh and the sauces they have cilantro sauce and some spicy sauce are beyond delicious. I have gotten the chicken and steak from here and it doesn't disappoint. Try it now you won't regret it. read more

First time eating here via UberEats. The chicken was delicious, the rice was a little on the crunchy side and the beans were way too salty. I recommend the garlic spicy sauce (super spicy) and mix with the regular garlic sauce! It also brought the cutest mini cornbread but it wasnt as sweet as I would've hoped. read more

I was debating between either 2 or 3 stars, but with all things considered, 2 stars. I ordered 3 meals with 2 drinks equating to $40. Now for the food: the first was a Noodle Stir Fry. Came out more like a soup with all the sauce at the bottom. With all the fixings in there you'd think it'd have more flavor, but lacked. Next was a Chicken Fried Rice. Again, just bland. Lastly, was the wings. I got BBQ style. Flavor was good! But there was only 6 with some fries for $9. The fries were bland, not even lightly salted. But the wings were good in terms of flavor. Not hearty though. The sauce choices seemed nice though. I tried the spicy garlic and it was pretty good. The place just opened up so maybe they'll make some augmentations. I'll try to swing by in a few weeks to try more of their Latin based dishes and update the review. read more

Finally a place that is giving La Granja and other rotisserie chicken some competition. Place is extra clean. Portions are great. Roasted chicken is perfectly seasoned. Garlic potatoes are also fantastic. The grilled chicken breast was nice and moist. House garden salad is an actual salad with great greens. My husband absolutely loves the rice and beans. I always like to taste the beans on a spoon first-pretty good for non Cuban. And their chicken soup is super tasty. My 2 year old eats it "con gusto". It's the perfect location for us as it's close to the office (coworkers have it often) and well we are ordering it again tonight. Both husband and I are going for something different. read more

Great place for lunch. Very similar to Pollo Tropical. Staff is very nice and the portions are large and fresh.

I was hungry and hadn't had chicken in awhile so decided to try this restaurant. My first time at a Don Pollo. I had rotisserie chicken breast with fried plantain and they kindly subbed a Caesar salad for the rice. Everything was fantastic! Best chicken I've had in a fast food establishment. Was moist and had a Delicious texture and flavor. It was well prepared and it tasted like range chicken. All The staff were friendly and accommodating and the restaurant was spic and span. I would come back here again! I would not hesitate to recommend this place for a healthy meal. The manager is also very friendly. read more
