No line, food was cooked to order and quickly. Restaurant seating area seemed outdated but clean. I ordered the #11 which is black beans, rice and chicken breast. It was a HUGE serving could feed 2 people. It was also very flavorful definitely better than most nearby chicken spots. This place is similar to Pollo Tropical and La Granja, but it feels a little less like a chain establishment, with slightly higher quality food. I can't say I loved my meal, as the chicken was a little dry and underseasoned, the beans a little soupy, and the vegetables cooked from frozen, but for around $10 for a complete meal, it certainly wasn't bad. This is a fast-food spot with more traditional foods. They serve chicken, steak, porkchops and have a wide array of items on their menu. Inside has a very simple decor. I normally just go through the drive thru when ordering my meal. I order the chicken meal with rice /beans. The chicken is always fresh and well-seasoned. From what I can see a lot of ppl come here to pick up food. A lot of times there is a wait with drive thru orders but it definitely worth the wait. This new Pollo joint is technically new in the neighborhood. So as a family, we decided to give it a shot yesterday since we had run out of our homemade cooked lunch. I bought the first item under Family Meal with two Large sides. That was 4 pieces of chicken with three sauces and a box for each side. In all honesty the meal was good but, I thought that the box for the yuca was maybe too big for the proportion. Which gives you the wrong expectation. Also to note that the first meal does not include any side it's just four pieces of chicken. So if you want rice and beans you need to add those sides to your order. Meaning, it is not an automatic added item. The fried Yuca and the sauces were my favorite. Tostones were ok and chicken was good but nothing special for my particular taste. I was debating between either 2 or 3 stars, but with all things considered, 2 stars. I ordered 3 meals with 2 drinks equating to $40. Now for the food: the first was a Noodle Stir Fry. Came out more like a soup with all the sauce at the bottom. With all the fixings in there you'd think it'd have more flavor, but lacked. Next was a Chicken Fried Rice. Again, just bland. Lastly, was the wings. I got BBQ style. Flavor was good! But there was only 6 with some fries for $9. The fries were bland, not even lightly salted. But the wings were good in terms of flavor. Not hearty though. The sauce choices seemed nice though. I tried the spicy garlic and it was pretty good. The place just opened up so maybe they'll make some augmentations. Finally a place that is giving La Granja and other rotisserie chicken some competition. Place is extra clean. Portions are great. Roasted chicken is perfectly seasoned. Garlic potatoes are also fantastic. The grilled chicken breast was nice and moist. House garden salad is an actual salad with great greens. My husband absolutely loves the rice and beans. I always like to taste the beans on a spoon first-pretty good for non Cuban. And their chicken soup is super tasty. My 2 year old eats it "con gusto". I had rotisserie chicken breast with fried plantain and they kindly subbed a Caesar salad for the rice. Everything was fantastic! Best chicken I've had in a fast food establishment. Was moist and had a Delicious texture and flavor. It was well prepared and it tasted like range chicken. All The staff were friendly and accommodating and the restaurant was spic and span.
