After a terrible experience at another Mexican restaurant, we found Don Patron. We're super familiar with the other location, so we knew this would be good. Definitely not disappointed!! Margaritas were great, too.

1st off , the restaurant was clean which is a + The chips didnt have any salt or flavor at 1st , but flavorful salsa made up for the bland chips. The tacos we had were excellent. I was afraid that they would be "runny". B/c the previous Mexican restaurants we have visited had that problem. With alot of mexican restaurants you have either 1) good food / horrible drinks or 2) bad food / good drinks. This place had a good balance of "good and good" . The waiter was kinda quiet at 1st but then he started to open up and talk becoming very welcoming. My wife and i would come back again for sure .

I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It has dim lighting and plenty of space to sit (booths and tables). The chips and salsa are really good! The chips are perfectly salted and the salsa is very mild. The queso is also probably the best I've had in the Ohio region. The staff is also super friendly, and food comes out quick!! I ordered the vegetarian chimichanga and it was really good. The tortilla was crisp and the veggies were well cooked! I asked for the hot sauce and it was really spicy, so be careful if you have a low tolerance for spicy. Overall, I highly recommend. Food was really good and it is cheap for how much you get!

I came to this restaurant for the first time yesterday. I actually came to get a gift card because someone else told me how great the place was and that they were coming this weekend. Somebody that had done something nice for me and I wanted to return the favor with a gift card. But ambience and the people there were so kind and friendly and welcoming that I felt the need to come back for dinner. I came back with my Spanish speaking exchange student from Spain. He loved speaking his native tongue again. The waiter was able to recommend a couple of dishes to us that we decided to get on his recommendation and they were amazing. I had the shrimp and scallop fajitas so delicious. My exchange student had some kind of beef and cheese taco that was fried. It was quite delicious, but I can't recall the name. Something they don't typically have on the menu, but was recommended to him. I put the name of what he had in the photos that I attached. I can't seem to pull the photo up to look at it though. Anyways, if you're looking for a great place to eat Mexican food, that's very homey, beautiful decorations, and wonderful people check this place out. I can't believe this restaurant has been practically in my backyard for a couple years and I had no idea. I'll be coming here regularly.

Vegetarian #4: Bean Tostaguac and Cheese Enchilada with rice.

Had a Saturday late lunch at Don Patron and it hit the spot! Jumbo lime margaritas are tasty and strong (no salt on the rim though). Chips were ok, but the flavorful salsa was tasty! I got the bean tostaguac (basically a tostada with guacamole) and it kind of lacked flavor. I would suggest adding queso for more flavor. My bf got the Texas Special and added beef tips. The combination of queso and beef tips were absolutely Scrumdiddlyumptious. We did not receive free shots at the end of our meal, but I would guess that is either due to COVID (saving money) or our early seating (we were there around 3). Perfect place if you're looking for a quick Mexican restaurant experience!

We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. The service overall was very slow, it did take a while for water to come out, and then for our drinks to come. It seemed like somewhat of a busy night, but the service was still extremely slow. For drinks, we ordered the strawberry lemon drop, and the champagne sangria. We were told the strawberry lemon drop was sweet and that's why I ordered it. It was the exact opposite. So bitter that I had to ask to switch it because that's how bitter it was. The champagne sangria was just okay. For appetizers, we ordered the buffalo chicken spring rolls. These were OVERLY fried. It felt like I was eating fried dough with some bits of chicken. Flavor was okay, but I definitely wouldn't order these again. We also ordered a Cesar salad, and a greens salad. These were both very delicious. The Cesar salad was very good and you can request it with our without the anchovies on top. We ordered a lobster bisque soup as well which was good. For dinner, we ordered the Twin Filet Medallions. I ordered mine medium. The issue with this was that one of the filets was cooked medium, and one was cooked medium rare. The one that was cooked medium was absolutely delicious, the one that was medium rare was not as good. I was disappointed with this because I only enjoyed 1 out 2 of the filet. This dish came with a side of mashed potatoes and string beans. The plate itself was HOT, however the temperature of the mashed potatoes was warm on the outside, and then the inside was cold. For desserts, we ordered the crème brûlée, the chocolate cake, and the cheesecake. The crème brûlée was by far the best dessert. The top was nice and crispy and the flavor was delicious. The chocolate cake was huge, and also really good. The cheesecake I would not recommend because if it wasn't for the peach compote on top, it would have no flavor. It was very very bland. Overall, I would return to this restaurant and probably try different menu options. The service and consistency of the food lacked, but I would love to give it another try.

Easily equal to Chagrin Falls, Chardon Square or any other in northeast Ohio. We arrived and parked along the main street, strolled down the block to the front door. Upon entering you desend the stairway to your left. At the bottom you pass through a glass door into a very nicely appointed dining room (see attached picture). This is a "below the sidewalk" establishment and gives off a smokey, speakeasy type vibe... very classy. As you enter you will discover the hostess is at the far end of the room where the entrance from the rear parking lot is. Evidently that is where the majority of customers enter. I prefer the front... no matter. She saw us right away and immediately walked over and greeted our party. We were quickly seated at our table for the evening. A nice gentleman introduced himself as Christian, our server for the evening. He was quick with a smile and full of knowledge and energy. We placed our drink order and began to peruse the menu. The regular and evening specials menus are more than satisfactory to make any pallet happy. We began with "Deviled Eggs" topped with Caviar, need I say, they were marvelous. Also, the "Oysters Rockefeller" were excellent. The choice of entree's are very nice. My wife chose "Chilean Seabass" Spice Rubbed Carrot/Ginger Puree Haricot Verts Almond/Yuzu Chimichurri. I went with my absolute favorite, "Lamb Chops" Herb Crusted Dijon Crispy Gnocchi Green Peppercorn Jus. So did my brother. And his wife ordered the "Sea Scallops" Roasted Beets Humboldt Fog Pistachios Orange/Saffron Butter. Everything was exceptional as always. KUDOS to the entire kitchen staff. We followed dinner with a fine cup of coffee and shared a couple orders of "Whipped Chocolate Mousse" infused with chopped hazelnuts... fabulous. So, as I have said before, if you enjoy "Fine Dining" that is consistently excellent; make the trip to Hudson, Ohio and visit "Downtown 140". You'll be glad you did.

We've been back three times in the last year and each time Russo's has provided an enjoyable dining experience for us. My wife and I like this restaurant for its food, delicious cocktails and good service. It's been a great 're-discovery' for us and it has become our go-to restaurant when we want to have a really special dining experience. This isn't a place where you can just show up and find a table--it's popular, so reservations are highly recommended. The dishes we've had here are delicious and in just-right proportions. We've come here with just ourselves and once with friends and have not been disappointed. Our servers have also been an important part of our dining experience at Russo's. They've all been personable and attentive. Russo's has two places to dine that offer two completely different experiences: the main dining room and the Bacchus Room. The main dining room has a combination of booths and tables in a carpeted area, making for a quieter atmosphere. The Bacchus Room is more of a casual sports bar type of area. It is a simple area with bare floors, standard tables, TVs with sports games on them and a bar, but also with garage doors that can open up to a patio in nicer weather. Both areas now have the same menu. The most recent time we came we had to sit in the Bacchus Room because the main dining room was full and we could only get reservations for Bacchus. We still had excellent service and a tasty meal. Finally, we've really enjoyed the cocktails here, especially the martinis. Great espresso martini and the sour apple has become one of my favorites. Be prepared to pay a little more to eat here, as we have generally found entrees to be around $35 on up and cocktails were about $12, BUT...so worth it! We look forward to returning.
