My wife and I had a solid dining experience at Tito's. We found the service to be excellent, the dining area and restrooms were clean and the food was enjoyable, but not outstanding. My wife and I got the two-dish combo, which we thought was a good value for $11.99. My wife got a tamale and a tostada and I got a chicken burrito with a chicken chimichanga. Both plates came with rice and beans (I subbed refried for black). The serving sizes were plentiful and served hot. Overall, it was a good meal, though maybe lacking a little flavor with the rice and my black beans. My wife's Mole sauce on her tamale was VERY tasty--perhaps the best she's ever had. The tostada was just shredded lettuce and some tomatoes with a very small portion of guacamole on top--nothing we would order again. The guacamole my wife had in her chalupa was outstanding--tangy, fresh and very flavorful. Another positive that stood out for me was the fact that the food wasn't overly salty, and for someone who is limited to salt intake, that's huge. The chips and the rest of my food didn't make me feel like I needed to reach for my water every few minutes. Really relaxed vibe, came on a Sunday evening, the staff amazing. The service is good or better than you'd find at a white clothe. It was my first visit, so I asked for a recommendation it didn't fail. Miguel or MICHAEL as a shirt says stopped by while the bartender was taking care of us sitting in a booth. We were a party of eight and had a good time. The food was good and the server was working hard. We didn't experience the slowness that some others have. No wait for a booth on a Thursday evening. Food was tasty and sereved quickly and warm. Portions well sized. Server was very friendly and efficient. Loved the carved booth dividers at our seating. My wife and I are not a big fan of the interior wall decor. Wall painting could be a bit frightning to children and not conductive for a family dining experience. Lighting extremely bright accentuated the disturbing wall art. Dissapappointed by the house margaritas. Very bland and reminiscent of lemon line Koolaid more than an authentic margaritas. We had carry out and it was amazing. Everything was still hot when we got home. The green sauce is the most authentic since I was in Texas. The tamales were excellent. Tito's is pretty average Mexican American. Hey, thankfully this isn't a chain. That's what I like about it. Food is okay but nothing you have never had before. The margaritas make the food better so get one. I had the jumbo margarita. It was on the happy hour special for about $6. This was good but it didn't taste very strong. It tastes like mostly juice. The food was the same typical Mexican American stuff. Chips and salsa is good when it's free. The guacamole salad is about $3, and is better than the regular guacamole, which actually costs more. It comes with lettuce and tomatoes, and goes good on the chips. The rest of the menu is mostly things with beef and chicken, but there are some vegetable burritos and fajitas. It wasn't crowded. It was still kind of slow getting the food and check. This place was about as good as expected, which was that it would be a really average Mexican place. read more

Stopped off here for a quick lunch. We were immediately seated and our drink order was taken. Tortilla chips and salsa were also brought to our table too. The salsa here is really good! The lunch menu was available on a Saturday which was good. Many good dishes to choose from. We ordered the cheese dip as an appetizer and it was creamy and tasted good, especially if you mix a little salsa in it. The combination of the cheese dip mixed wraith a little salsa was really good. I ordered the panchita with steak. The dish was hot when it was brought to the table. Enjoyed the ingredients that were in this dish. The avocado was very fresh! Had the churros for dessert. They were good too. Freshly made we had to wait for them to cool down before eating. I would have liked just a little more cinnamon sprinkled on them. The service was very good. Good food and service! Unlike a lot of Mexican restaurants they actually season their food. The pork burrito is so good !

I've only ever gotten food to go here twice so I can't speak of their dine in experience, but to go service is terrible. The ETA is way off compared to what they say on the phone. When I arrived they said it would be 5 more minutes and after 5 minutes they said it would be 5 more minutes and then finally 5 minutes later the food came out. There were 3 hosts when I arrived and all 3 were just talking and going inside and outside and taking pictures and on their phones and eating. At one point all 3 were outside and no one to assist customers walking in. The food itself has been good both times I got home. I live 6 minutes away so I would imagine it would still be hot but both times it's just kind of been lukewarm. read more

We ordered food to go back to the office for a light lunch. The food was tasty even though the onions could have been grilled a little longer to a softer texture. The guacamole was very good. The queso dip also very good. The chips were hard and not the light crispiness that I have come to expect at better Mexican restaurants. I enjoyed the rice and salad. Amazing food. I walked in and was almost tempted to leave as no one was near the door and the place was empty. So glad I just walked up and sat at the bar. Chips and salsa was very good but hey that is hard to mess up. Ordered a Modelo from the tap. Looked through the menu and the person behind the bar recommended something different and I took his advice. Steak, shrimp and chorizo with onions, peppers, and cheese. They call in the Rio grande I believe. I call in amazing. It came with rice and beans and the guacamole salad. It was a little spicy. Maybe a 3 or 4 for people unlike me. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Sure you had to wait a bit, but good food is worth the wait. I ordered Flan for dessert. Very tasty. I was in Akron on a business trip and I did not want to venture too far from the hotel to get something to eat for dinner; I accessed Yelp and located Tito's Mexican Grill. Much like Soly Z I also lived in Southern California, and I moved back to NW Ohio in 2013. Trying to find anything even remotely comparable to the plethora of excellent Mexican restaurants found in SoCal has been a major challenge at best. When I arrived, the parking lot seemed to have a lot of vehicles so I was encouraged. Walking inside, the restaurant was somewhat busy for a Sunday evening. It seemed as if they were short staffed as the servers were hurrying around in attempts to get the job done. When the server finally arrived at my table he apologized for the wait and I appreciated his gesture. I had plenty of time to look at the menu so I was ready to order. The chips and salsa arrived and the salsa was very bland. Thankfully there was some hot sauce available so I poured it in the salsa to hopefully add something to it. Close, but no cigar... When my dinner came out, it was on 2 plates. Initially I thought there was no way I was going to be able to get through it all. The majority of items had ground beef as the featured item as well as a chili relleno. The food was just as bland as the salsa. I'm sorry but it was not very good. I had the polo con creama and a lot of the chicken was gristly. I don't know how, if the glass had a hole it it, but there was beer all over the table. The new "decor" is not good with 4200K garish lighting. Very cold. My silverware was bent. There were a couple odd flavors and I wondered if everything was fresh. But it could have been the smell of the table cleaning solution. I don't know about adding pickled jalepeno to polo con creama. That was odd. It was an unpleasant meal.
