I got a vegetarian burrito and it was just a bunch of sautéed onions and bean water (they were so runny the brown water just filled my plate). The chips were horribly stale. The dining area feels more like a school cafeteria. The added on porch makes it even odder. The margs were ok, somewhat strong at least, but the guava flavor was bad. At a certain point, it stops mattering how much rice and beans you cram in a takeout container if the entree (chimichanga) is roughly half the length of a 5oz bottle of Tabasco. If it was a fluke, they fluked me twice today. I've been to Cassa Del Rio about four or five times now and can honestly say that I'm qualified to leave a solid review. The patio is awesome I love sitting outside in the great weather and having a margarita and being able to relax after a long day at work. The patio is shaded and the service is phenomenal. My favorite thing they have is the option to create your own burrito. You can put whatever you want in this burrito and when it comes out to the table this thing is massive. Your jaw will drop when you see the size of their burritos and generally I can only eat half of it and then I have to bring the rest of it home for the next day. Their margaritas are really really good. I think my favorite margarita that I have with my wife is the mango and we order by the pitcher. I'm going to be back to this restaurant regularly because it's in walking distance, the people are really cool, the patio is the best one in Fairlawn that I know of, and their foods great at a very reasonable price. read more

They claim my order didn't go through at pick up even though I had the confirmation. The entire order was wrong and I even got less than what I ordered, but my invoice did not change it. Buffet style taco bar, more like a taqueria and outdoor seating. Very confusing entrance to parking lot, and even more confusing front door entrance. No clear point to start your order either. Was too confused and the tomatoes didn't look very red, and I wanted to sit down. Not the place for me, and it didn't look very appetizing. The curb to entrance is about 5 inches tall and you have to drive over it. There is a sign that says entrance, and it's definitely not their entrance. I realize everyone has different tastes, and I'm not a food expert but this was probably the worst experience I've ever had with food quality. The salsa was more like tomato water with a sprinkle of cilantro. We were there at noon and there may have been a half dozen tables with patrons, otherwise it was empty. I understand it is called express but our food arrived less than 3 minutes after we ordered it, which kind of tells me that the food was prepared sitting on warming tables and they threw it on a serving tray and brought it out. What really irked me was that we met family there and were enjoying some conversation after our not so delicious meal and the waitress came up and said "are you ready " She meant are you ready to pay the bill. Casual Mexican place but so welcoming! I visited this place for a casual dinner. The dining inside at that time was still closed, but the cafe had open a cozy patio. The weather allowed to have the dinner outside. I really liked the welcoming hostess and the smiley waitress. The cafe was clean and well kept. I was surprised of the size of the portion! I ate half of my dinner and took home leftovers. The menu had many items to choose from and I feel that everyone could find something for themselves. Next time, I will try their margaritas. I stopped by for lunch as I have been to their Wadsworth location many times. I wasn't sure what the express would be like but it was a great experience. It is a higher end chipotle. The ingredients are better, fresher and more traditional Mexican fare. The rice choices are white or a tomato rice. There are several meet options including taco meat. This spot is great! Large portions, friendly service and a great stop for lunch/dinner. I love that you can buy a canned beer to eat your meal with, just a nice touch that made my experience. I had the Pollo Adobo and it was awesome. Tender chicken, perfectly cooked onions and peppers, flavorful sauce, and warm tortillas.
