Once I walked in the music was playing and I didn't stop dancing. The DJ was doing his thing. Our waitress was amazing but she got switched from our table after a while which we didn't like. The food was delicious. The drinks were on point. The only thing I would say that threw me off was the $35 fee to sing happy birthday to my sister with sparklers, bubble gun and a sign. I thought that was a little much for like 15 secs . Other than that we all had a great time. Definitely would go again!

Brooklyn's Bites, Drinks, and Beats -- where every flavor hits as hard as the music. Located in the heart of Brooklyn, it's not just about eating; it's about experiencing a full-on fiesta. From the sizzling kitchen to the pouring drinks and non-stop good vibes, this spot brings the heat with every bite and every beat. This is how you do a night out with flavor and fire. Loved this venue. Solid drinks and food. Fun atmosphere. I recommend the mort aperol spritz and Paloma. The sizzling shrimp fajitas were awesome. Rice n beans flavorful. The pistola plantain cornucopia cone stuffed with buttery seafood was epic. Tacos pastor worth it. Nice sauce.

Don Pancho Villa - NYC's Most Unexpected Brunch Party If you think brunch is always mellow, think again for me!! Don Pancho Villa turns it into a full-on party! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is electric: low lights, incredible DJ, and an energy that makes you feel like it's Saturday night, even though it's only 2 PM. The drinks are strong and beautifully presented, the food is flavorful, and the staff keeps the good times rolling without missing a beat. Whether you're here for mimosas with friends, celebrating a birthday, or just want a brunch that feels different, this spot delivers. Come hungry, dress to impress, and be ready to dance between bites. Definitely one of NYC's most fun brunch experiences. I'll be back again for sure!

My first visit to this place was during the pandemic. Although things have changed since then, the food and service remain the same, and I'm very pleased with everything. I had the nachos and the Don Julio peach tequila frozen drink, and I'll definitely be coming back!

EXPENSIVE tacos great taste. You're literally paying for the staff and decorations. But the drinks and food are so good you ignore the cost. Orrrr maybe you didn't see the cost bc those drinks were so strong. Either way don't sit down unless you have $100 to spend here. But please do come prepared for great tacos!!

Super nice staff very accommodating kids and wife had to use the restroom and let them even though we didn't eat. Thank you for being so compassionate!

I loved all the performances & the dj was so good!! We did a party brunch and the food & mimosas were alright, but I think they could have more flavor. They also never gave us the dessert but not sure if it's because we brought our cake for the birthday girl. The service was a bit slow after the main course came, as it took almost an hour to get the cake out.

Loved the drinks. The food was decent. Good service & attentive staff. We went on a Monday & there was a DJ, which we loved, but it was definitely too loud to talk to each other regularly being seated next to a speaker. Loved the decor. Very chill, low key spot to have a drink & some hookah.

I came here on a weekday as soon as they opened at 2pm for Happy Hour- their selection is awesome! I got a pina colada and a mojito. I loved their nachos, HUGE PORTION! The steak was perfectly cooked but I wasn't a huge fan of the shrimp. We really enjoyed their Birria Tacos! Highly recommend their happy hour M-F from 2-7pm. Great music selection as well

This place was such a great experience. I met some friends for an impromptu lunch and was very pleasantly surprised by the service, attentiveness and flavor of the food and drinks! The atmosphere was very upbeat! Many photo opportunities! I had the pancha nachos with shrimp and the serving was very generous. Definitely will be back!

My friend hosted a brunch to celebrate her birthday here. The place is lively I will admit that - they had a DJ that ONLY played Spanish music. Now I know this is a Mexican restaurant, but it would have been nice to have a sprinkle of maybe some R&B or hip hop during that time. So regarding the food, if you do the brunch menu there isn't alot to choose from. For $39.99 per person you get an appetizer, entree and dessert with 90 minutes unlimited sangria and mimosa. I had the sangria - it wasn't good, didn't even finish my glass as it was too sweet. I was told the mimosa was the same - just sweet with no alcohol. You don't have much to choose from on the menu (they didn't even have a burger option). I ordered elote for appetizer - which was very bland, the steak and eggs (which is an additional $4), the steak was good but small, the eggs were well they were eggs so what can you say lol and the potatoes - I could literally count how many potatoes were on my plate. You had to ask for salt, pepper and ketchup - not sure why when you have potatoes but whatever. The steak was cooked well though although the meat itself was VERY chewy. The dessert was a chocolate pudding - nothing to write about there. Overall I think there are way better brunch restaurants out there than this. No

Want some real fun even on a lousy Tuesday afternoon? Come to Don Pancho Villa! The music is so loud, the drinks are so strong and the vibes are always there even when it's empty. I celebrated 2 Birthdays here along with some Happy Hour last week and although the price is pretty steep, it's still a great time and when I mean great, I mean it. You'll stumble out of there happy and glad you came. The DJ is always so much fun too. As for food I love the chicken Nachos, Chicken wings and Tacos. I'm always too busy drinking I forget all about the food but the food is amazing. Doesn't lack any flavor at all. I'll probably go again this week just because I love music and drinks. Hookah is really good too but that's only when I'm partying hard. I can't do much of that regularly. PS-They do ID you at the door even during Happy Hour on a weekday.

I was told that they have Mariachis that play there. Is this true?

They play extremely loud music in the empty lot next door and the neighbors will throw bread, bird seed and water at you.

    Is there a age limit?

Hi, to come in no restriction, To drink you must be 21 and over.

What's the age limit? 18+ to get in & 21+ to drink or only 21+ allowed?

Conveniently located near Union Square/14th Street on the Lexington Avenue Line, Javelina is fairly easy to get to from Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan. The restaurant itself is downstairs from the street, but not quite a basement. There is a bar when you first enter on the left, and tables back to the kitchen. The space is usually quite loud, and it can be a bit cramped at times. Don't be surprised if you find yourself raising your voice a bit to keep up. Upon seating, you will (eventually) be offered chips and salsa, and someone will take your drink order. Things can take a bit of time here, especially at busy times, so do not expect the top tier of restaurant service by any stretch of the imagination. The menu features fajitas, and I cannot imagine ordering anything else. The queso is a lovely appetizer, though the trio feels a bit small for the price. If you order fajitas, you will notice another shortcoming of this restaurant, the tables can feel a bit cramped. This is something that comes with the territory in Manhattan dining but do not feel surprised if you end up having to rearrange things on your table to accommodate a delicious platter of sizzling fajitas. The fajitas themselves are fine, and probably the most consistent I've found here in the city. I would not be surprised if there were better places for fajitas elsewhere but in my research this seemed like the best option. Requests have been missed before in my experience (I recall ordering a certain salsa that never came) and because the waiters seem a bit overwhelmed, it hard to address it before you'd want to eat. Overall, this place will scratch the itch for fajitas, but the service is lacking. I'll probably find myself wanting fajitas again in the future and return, but every time I visit I find myself just a little bit disappointed that a good restaurant is not great.

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.

It was their neighborhood spot that they would frequent themselves, but also the place to which they would bring all of their guests. After turning down several opportunities to join them in the far off land of Brooklyn, I finally agreed to make the trek and give the restaurant a shot. The Cobble Hill area was really charming, and Lobo was located on one of the main streets that was packed with restaurants, coffeeshops, and small retailers. When I arrived at Lobo, I did not see my friends in the bar area on the ground floor and was told to check the back garden. I found my group out in the quiet, cozy yard and joined them at the spacious table. The weather was a bit chilly, especially as the night wore on, and it was even raining at one point. However, there was a covering that completely shielded us from the elements. In addition, despite our being outside, the friendly staff was diligent about checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. Since my companions had been at the table for a bit by the time I had arrived, they already had beverages in front of them, so I needed to catch up. I ordered a house Margarita without specifying a particular brand of tequila. Even with their default spirit, the drink was very strong. It also used their homemade sour mix, which was, thankfully, more sour than it was sweet. Our drinks paired nicely with the complementary, spectacular tortilla chips and zesty salsa. When it came to my meal, I was unsure of what to order, since the reviews had been very mixed, most either being 5-stars or 2-stars with comments about items being "bland". I decided to go with the grilled Chicken Fajitas, which arrived on a standard plate, rather than a sizzling platter. While that was not a great sign, the chicken actually wound up being enjoyable and certainly not bland. Plus, it was not at all greasy, like fajitas can often be. Accompanying the poultry strips on the plate were freshly sauteed onions and green peppers, a mound of seasoned rice, and smoky refried beans, which were all tasty. I typically prefer black beans, which were not an option here, but the refried worked out well. Separately, I received a container of flour tortillas (though I wished they had soft corn ones) and a plate with guacamole, pico de gallo, serrano peppers, lettuce, shredded cheese, and sour cream. I agreed with some other reviewers that the guacamole was more like mashed avocado, as it was very under-seasoned. The pico was also oddly sweet, and the tomatoes were mushy. Despite these minor critiques, I found that the food surpassed my expectations that had been established from other reviews. I would be willing to make the trip to Lobo again in the future. **Note: The restaurant is cash only!

The second time, we started off with a Cactus salad which feels like an underrated dish. It was a heaping pile of sauteed cactus and chopped jalapenos over what most would consider a generic salad. But you know what, I enjoyed that touch for the texture . The cactus itself was packed with flavor with nice heat from the jalapenos. For my entree was the chicken fried chicken, a chicken breast cutlet smothered in gravy. This cutlet is what got me to write a review. They basically nailed it with the interior super juicy. It comes with two sides. Aromatic rice and beans and collard greens that accentuated the floral notes of the greens. This may have been a 4 star review but the price to quality ratio and friendly staff is what inspired me to bump it up. Will put this place in my regular rotation.
