Solid, consistent Italian, with great wings! Many times you get the frozen breaded wings, not here! Perfect!

I'm driving back from Maryland and I planned to stop at Via Cuma for lunch…read more I understand Via Cuma is a not by the slice pizza shop, it's more authentic with a personal size pizza. I parked across the street (make sure you feed the parking meter) and walked inside. I'm assuming it was the owner, I said I'm so hungry and was asked to grab any open table. The restaurant is cozy with multiple tables which can be adjusted to fit a large or small party. The owner comes over with an iPad, I just want a glass of wine with lunch. No bueno, I don't think they have a liquor license. I ordered a coke instead. This word is tripping me up, I know it's devilish, Diavola? I make the sign of the cross as I order this pizza. The owner explains this is his favorite pizza, I can see why. The Diavola Pizza is made with San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Hot Soppressata Salame from Calabria and topped with Parmigiano Reggiano cheese along with a drizzle of Olive Oil. This is a pizza that's more heavenly than devilish. There's some heat coming from various ingredients but it's welcomed. The sourdough is something that's interesting, I had this dough in Syosset last week. Is this a new trend? It brought the pizza to another level, there's more complexity with the imported ingredients. I also appreciated the cheese, I should have asked if it was made in-house. Via Cuma, great pizza the other day! Thanks for the Italian lesson on pronouncing Diavola

Via Cuma is cozy and well decorated with authentic Italian culture from the wall tiles to the scenic artwork. We decided to order the wings and fritto misto for appetizers. The wings came with a flavorful lemon pepper dipping sauce that had the perfect kick to it. We also got the Capricciosa pie. You can't go wrong with prosciutto and artichoke! Overall it was a great experience. Parking is tough so leave time to find a spot. We are excited for their second location to open.

I live in Nassau. I used to travel out east on date night to that location before this one opened…read moresome years back. From what I recall, that was more of a sit down restaurant vibe. This is much more like a pizzeria. Great they offer vegan options along with traditional. I went at about 4 on a Friday. Be aware that parking can be tough, even with a lot available in the rear. When I got in, it was pretty busy. These guys are working hard on orders! The pickup rack was completely full. I haven't been here in a couple of years. I used to come for the vegan slices. A deal to good to pass was in Uber Eats, so I returned. This time I tried a non vegan option for the first time. My order was Chicken Parm, pesto garlic knots and carrot cake. The Parm arrived hot. It was a large enough portion for two big backs and three if you are a small back. Definitely enough to eat some today and some tomorrow. It was good, But I felt the sauce was a tad bit too salty for my liking. But it didn't make it not good. The good amount of cheese was on top. Nice and gooey. The pesto knots were warm and soft. They had a coding of oil, garlic and pesto. Very good. The meal also came with its own side of bread. The carrot cake was moist and good. I definitely hope this deal continues. I might come once a week.
