I have been going to this place since I was a kid. When my nieces and cousins visit this is the "New York" pizza they want. My dad ordered a pizza from this place and flew with it back to Florida for the receptionist at his doctors office. I am so thankful that they got with the times and are on Uber and slice. Prior to that they would NEVER deliver to my neighborhood because I lived in Rosedale at the time, literally 5 mins from the shop. Now I'm even further in Queens and I get my pizza. :) When I was a kid, 15+ years, there was a guy there that looked like Russell Crowe, he was the sweetest. But since then....things er um changed. I can see where people would be put off by customer service. Save yourself having to deal with the people there and order online. My daughter's favorite thing here is the grandma slice with cheesy bread and garlic knots on the side and these are great. One of the better pizzerias in our town. I ordered based on my neighbors recommendation as I was looking for pizza and a salad. My first impression was not great, as the person who answered the phone seemed irritated and unprofessional. I almost didn't order but since i had a guest in town who initiated the idea, I continued. It was an hour before the pizza came, but as "mr irritable" indicated it would be, it was expected. The pizza was nice and hot and I was glad about that. The greek salad was good, nothing special but it had green olives, which is my favorite. The salad dressing was tasty so I give it 4 stars. As to the pizza, we ordered a cheese with peppers, onions and mushrooms. The pizza was tasty, but the crust a little thick for my liking and too hard for my guest. All in all, it was good. I would order again since it's hard to get a good pizza, and this one was satisfactory. They need to work on their customer service skills when answering the phone. Amazing amazing experience with them everytime time i mean really the customer service i received from them keeps me coming back because you definitely don't receive that at every pizza shop. Ima huge pizza lover so i would be the first to tell you that their pizza is great and if i ask for a fresh slice they give that to me without any issue. They usually have a nice selection of special pies in the restaurant when you go in, and my daughter really likes the Buffalo pizza But the last time I ordered delivery, the pie came very undercooked, the crust was soft and doughy, and it looked like it had slid around in the box and was mis-shapen. read more

You can get pizza anywere else in valley stream with better quality. I suggest Eddie D's Pizzeria sincethe owner actually cares about his customers and the food is fresh. The staff is unprofressional. The staff had me waiting there for over 30 mins for food with out stating when it was ready. One time orders of garlic knots are 6 per order , the next time it's 3. So overcharging . No one ever knows what they are doing , they talk about you and your order in front of you. Sicilia has gone from pizza worth raving about, to tasteless and unsatisfying. I stopped by today for the first time since I graduated high school (2006). It used to be one of my favorite pizza places in town, and I always went for the chicken and tomato slice. I ordered that same slice today and walked out really disappointed. First, my slice was removed from the oven way too soon, and it was cold. The crust tasted undercooked and doughy. The chicken was also semi undercooked, and the tomatoes were soggy and mushy. I give the place 3 stars because they are always very clean, and have a large variety of specialty pizzas to chose from. Make sure you ask for everything piping hot! read more

Really bad pizza! Worse than the pizza you get at a kids birthday party. Taste like bread and tomato sauce, no flavor at all. Payed $28 for a plain "large" cheese and a "large" sausage pie. This one star goes out to the slice of pizza I ate from Sicila's that made my stomach flip. The pizza here is fairly similar to a school lunch pizza or box pizza from the store. Having never written a Yelp review, I do believe I need to for this pizzeria. Good, cheap pizza, but HORRIBLE customer service! Older gentleman is incredibly nice, but the young man that works there frequently is extremely rude and seems to be miserable every time my boyfriend and I stop in. Acts like we're a bother every time we come in, when we're nothing but respectful and kind. Last we were in, he left our pizza in the oven for too long because he was busy on his cellphone, then proceeded to show his annoyance as if we were a nuisance. This place is your average pizza place with a variety of slices. If I recall there's a lunch special for two slices and a small drink. There's occasionally some cheesecake or small desserts in the mini fridge at the end of the counter. The pizza is average but their garlic knots aren't half bad. Since this is the only pizza place open in the area (not a fan of Rosa's or Ancona's), I decided to stop by for my pizza fix. The first thing I noticed when walking in was the amount of specials they have, and the prices are pretty good for what you get. They have a few family deals, $10 pie deals, and buy 1 get 1 half off pie deals. They had a few different selections displayed. Grandma slices, sicilian slices, etc. I opted for 2 regular (I know I'm boring). I was pleasantly surprised. I don't like crispy crusts, and theirs was more chewy which I like. Good pizza, but pretty average. Nothing to make it stand out from other places. I'll get pizza from here once in a blue moon, or have it delivered when I don't want to have to go pick up pizza from other area pizzerias. I believe that everyone has been to another restaurant, not this one. I have traveled around the world and still came up with the same thing... The egg plant parm was by far the best that I have ever eaten. This is my favorite dish. The salad was so fresh and dressing was SUPER great. I live in Atlanta, GA. If I had to cash to fly back to NY, my butt would be on the plane to this restaurant. I called back to tell the owner how wonderful the food was there. He treated me with respect and did not rush me even though he has the phone ringging off of the hook and people waiting to pay. The experience that I had was everlasting. This place is great. Really nice counter people, very clean place to eat, even a clean bathroom which is nice. I usually get the Grandma slice, delicious crust, perfectly seasoned, sweet sauce and good amount of mozzarella. I have had the mini broccoli rolls which are good but lack cheese. Regular slices are good too, they have some great deals during the week and 1/2 price pizza late night. One of my favorites is the chicken parm hero...huge portion for $6.50! I have never been disappointed when I walked in for a slice, but take out or delivery has been an whole different experience. I don't mind (too much) that the employee that is usually there seems incredibly apathetic about his job, my order, or life in general, but in return, I expect great pizza. I used to rate D'oro pizza a solid 4 stars. Unfortunately, the level of quality has diminished steadily over the last few months. I had my parents over 2 weeks ago for pizza, and I was embarrassed with the food I had to serve them. I ordered a large pie, garlic knots and calamari. The pizza was under-cooked and flavorless. The garlic knots were not memorable, so I won't comment one way or another. The calamari though...where to begin. Seeing how I was ordering calamari from a pizza shop, my expectations were not overly high to begin with. However, what was served to me was far worse than even the lowest expectations. This calamari tasted like it was cooked a year ago and frozen, then microwaved for 30 minutes before being packaged up to be sold. We each tried one bite before throwing the entire order in the garbage. I really hope this place steps their game up because they were good at one point. read more
