My husband bought a used Dodge from them about 6 months ago. Of course they want to up sale and offer an extra warranty on top of the manufacturers. I asked the salesman about the extra warranty he was offering and he assured me it's bumper to bumper and would cover pretty much anything that could go wrong. Y'all know where I'm going with this, right? Fast forward to now, 6 months later, and of course the car is having issues. Well he has a bumper to bumper warranty so he should be good.... Takes it to Don Davis service...what a cluster eff. First the service advisor he got was horrible, didn't want to do his job and we had to literally force him to even look up the car to see that we had a warranty. He finally does and refers us to someone else since apparently we weren't lying, like he seemed to assume at first. She says yes the issue will be covered under warranty and she'll call the next day with status. She calls the next day and guess what...it's not covered under warranty but for the low price of $750 they can fix it. Ok a car he's owned less than a year with a "bumper to bumper warranty". *insert eyeroll* After much back and forth I won't get into, we picked the car up and had it fixed somewhere else. For $150. Yep, $600 LESS than what they wanted to charge us. Now this isn't my first rodeo and I know good service and sales when I see it.....and they don't have it. Buyer beware. read more

My husband and I purchased a 2016 Jeep Cherokee a few weeks ago. The process to get finance went smoothly. We can't even remember our sales guy name. He didn't leave an impression. He wasn't knowledgeable with the models as well as their inventory. As a customer, we didn't feel valuable. I purchased a 2016 Ram 1500 from here. It was a certified pre owned. Within 60 days of having truck the oil was changed and the 80 thousand mile check up was also done. The bill was over 1400. Dollars. I was shocked when I found that the front brakes and rotors needed changed. As well as many other issues I assumed was fixed being certified and all but no. Don Davis dont and wont honor anything that need repaired including the brakes. What???? Long story short I have tryed to work with many people at Don Davis and to no avail. I now have filed complaints with the attorney general's office as well as Chrysler Capital. The warenty they sold me is not worth the paper it was wrote on. Poor bussiness ethics and horrible response to get anything accomplished. The software updates are worthless as it shuts the vehicle down til you take it to the dealership where they charge 199. Dollars for diagnostic knowing the issue and still charge to reset computer. This place is full of crooks as far as I'm concerned. I have not been able to drive the truck since Friday morning when the update went in. It has to be towed back to the dealership at my cost. It am so disappointed in this dealership. I was looking for a car to replace my car that was totaled in a car accident. I was not looking for a new car but I was looking for a reliable used car. I researched dealers and even called before driving out to Arlington to see these cars that Don Davis listed online as available. I was even told that the one car I was looking at was on the lot and they would have someone pull it around front so I could see it when I arrived since I was on a time crunch. I even asked them again to make sure the car was available and was again told that it was. When I arrived at the dealership I was told the car was sold the night before. When I said that someone had called me and said that the car was still here I was told that they did not walk the lot just looked online. I told them that I was frustrated because I was told that it was still in the lot and I had driven across the metroplex to see it. I was told that they were sorry but the car sold the night before. Then when I asked about the other cars that were in my price range that were online I was told that they were unfit to be sold and would not be online. Then why are they online and why are they still online including the car I went to see about?!? What I find funny is that when I looked at the car the night before it was listed as one price and the next morning, they had lowered the price...why lower a price on a car that has already been sold?!? I felt lied to and told something just to get me to come in and waste my time. They did however try to sell me a car that was 16 years old and needed work!!! After buying a brand new dodge ram lemon, my boyfriend and I had taken the truck in for repairs the 20+ time (not joking and its a new truck). We dropped it off and they were going to get to it. Day one we call to check on it and the lady tells us the mechanic was looking at it now she'd call us back in the morning. Day two and we call them that afternoon to check on it. The lady said its on the lift and she'd call us back when the mechanic was done checking it out. Day three! No one has ever called us back.. We call yet again..... The lady said the mechanic hasn't looked at it yet and she'd call us back. At this point we are furious and go to pick it up. It was parked in the same spot and nobody looked at it. The sign in the service department reads management wants to know about our experience if we aren't happy, so I have him called in. It was the most blatant uncaring manager I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. We were calm at first, but his lackadaisical approach to customer service actually had me biting my lip not to tell him off. They clearly don't care at all. WARNING TO PEOPLE USING THEM: They said the warranty wouldn't cover the work this time... THEY FAILED TO TELL US THE ENGINE WARRANTY WOULD. I was approached by Don Davis via email to trade my truck in for a new one. I went ahead and traded the truck in for a new Dodge Ram 1500. One of the sales gimmicks to buy a vehicle from these people is that you get 3 years FREE OIL CHANGES. I went and got my first oil change, 2 weeks later Im stranded on the side of the road because the "OIL FILTER" FALLS OFF THE ENGINE! I called the service departments and all they could say in a continuious mode is "IM SO SORRY, Im SORRY, Im SORRY.. I then called Huffines Dodge in Lewisville Tx. They ran my V.I.N. number and explained to me that the "EXTENDED WARRENTY" that I paid 1,600.00 for is a third party warrenty! WTF? It's NOT COVERED by Chrysler and is some BULLSHIT SCAM to get more money from you! Once again I call the Sales department and talk to the Maneger there and the same thing---IM SORRY, IM SO SORRY, SORRY SORRY SORRY!!! Sales process was a great experience. They were very helpful. Unfortunately, the service department sucks and I was told by the other customers waiting that they too have had horrible after horrible experiences. I went once to have a headliner replaced on my car that I had bought a month before. They ordered it and told me they would call when it was in. Three weeks later I was still waiting. I called and they could not find my work order so I had to go back. When I got there, after starting a whole new work order, they miraculously found the old one. They couldn't find the part and they just said it had not arrived, but another customer's had so they were just going to use that. It turned out to be the wrong part. So they had to order the headliner. They are supposed to call me when it comes in, but don't be surprised if I'm back on here three weeks later and haven't heard anything. read more

Took multiple days to get a new car; cause they can't get you answers & the info needed. Then after you wait all day to do paperwork, they don't stick to the deal that was originally said. Oh & they'll wait til after you sign to tell you the exact one you want isn't on their lot so it'll be a few days. Then they agree to pay off your last two payments of your leased car but conveniently don't get back to you until after you've already paid it off & paid them for your new car. My husband and I went to Don Davis to purchase a 2012 Dodge Charger. We knew exactly what we wanted and could afford, we advised Theo of the 5 features that were a must, one of which was navigation system. Theo Davis worked to find us a match and presented us with a MSRP sheet that featured all but one of our "must have" features. Willing to comprise on the one feature that could be added after market, we made the deal. Needless to say, after the delayed delivery of our vehicle, we received a car with NO navigations system. We spoke with the manager, Eddie Elqutob regarding the matter, who basically stated that we must have "thought" the navigation system was featured on the MSRP sheet but was not? When in fact, we reviewed the MSRP sheet that Theo presented in detail and checked off the features on the sheet? BEWARE of their service department. I took minivan in for a problem that was causing a rough idle and shifting. They said they couldn't replicate the issue and said everything was fine. I was back their two weeks later because it only got worse. It was text book bad cylinder head causing misfire which should have been caught the first time. They replace it and I pick it up right before I go on vacation. I drive it for essentially the first time a week later out of town and when I'm driving in my in-laws neighborhood the van just shuts down on me. I get out and it is dumping fuel out on the street. I have it towed to local dealership and it ends up Don Davis didn't put the fuel line on properly. If it came off while on the highway that could have resulted in major injuries to my children because I would have essentially had no control of van since all power shut down which includes power steering and brakes. There service department is sloppy which could eventually cost someone their lives. STAY AWAY! read more

Everything has gone well from service changes to I had to have a replacement of a back seat for faulty stitching but the dealership took care of it and replaced it right away. Worst car buying experience EVER!!! I went to Anthropologie for an $80 dress and got better service. If I'm buying a car I better get treated like an honored guest, and guess what? I wasn't. Chipped my SRT8 wheels when taking off the lug nuts, wrecked by side valance just by putting it on the lift, and I can't find my car after it's done being serviced, and the seats and floor are never covered when being sat in by mechanics. My review is of the pre-owned sales department at Don Davis Auto Group and the outstanding service received by salesman, Joseph Glasenap and the management team. Like most families, we found ourselves needing to purchase a vehicle due to unplanned circumstances with one of our others. I found the website to be accurate and easy to use. After locating a vehicle we were interested in, the sales team was quick to follow-up in arranging a test-drive. When we arrived on the lot, the pre-owned sales manager greeted us promptly, and readied the car for our test drive. The entire process from start to finish was quick, not high pressure, and professional. No tricky sales tactics, even in the finance department... While I have no experience with the service department, and due to the other reviews below that describe negative experiences in that dept, I will likely avoid it, I can tell you that my experiences with the pre-owned sales department was incredibly positive and I will be back when we need another vehicle for our family and would recommend this dealership to any of my friends looking for the same. read more

I have to say that this is my first experience with Don Davis and it was the worst experience and definitely my last! I came into contact with Don Davis trying to find an authorized Dodge dealer to service my recalls. I called, set the appt. and all seemed well. I arrived at 7am and was greeted and checked in the rep Jacob V. checked my vehicle and like all service guys tried to sell me additional services. He asked about my oil, my tires and told me that my brake fluid needed to be replaced. He really went in asking if I wanted an oil change and asked if I used synthetic oil and I said I don't know. I typically get my oil changes at another provider and would stick with them because all I know is that I get high mileage oil. I DECLINED the oil change, told him I didn't need tires or a tire rotation because I get that done through a friend that works for a tire company at the end of the year using her discount. I did AGREE to get the brake fluid flushed and changed. He asked me to sign for services on the iPad so, I did and waited. When I was informed that my car was ready, I received a bill twice the amount I was expecting to pay. I asked Jacob why as the cashier asked for my payment and he said because of the oil change and tire rotation. I said, but I declined those services. He told me that he was sorry, but he thought I agreed. I was pissed. The cashier was present for the entire exchange and never asked if I wanted to speak to a manager or anything. I paid and Jacob walked me out. I got in my car and immediately called to speak with a manager BEFORE leaving. I was somehow transferred to the cashier that took my payment and explained to her (even though she was present) what happened and she said "Oh you were just here." I said yes, she put me on hold and when she returned said she went to speak to a manager and he would call me after he researched the problem. I waited to receive a call and got nothing so, I called around 2pm and got in touch with Joe who claimed to have tried to call me and left a message (I received no such call or voicemail) I explained the situation to Joe and he acted as is and basically told me that it was my fault because I signed a preservice agreement that he had in front of him . I explained that I didn't agree to the services and he told me well ma'am we have been in business a long time and mistakes like that don't happen. I said sir ok, I don't care how long you've been around, a today a mistake was made and I would like it corrected. I said maybe I should've just made a scene (definitely not me)and refused to pay on spot since that is what it takes to get a response. He said well that wouldn't have helped. I said you're re right, I am trying to give u a chance to right this wrong that was acknowledged in front of your cashier. After I calmed down I called back to request copies of the signed documents because the ones I have aren't signed and to see if he received any results from the "research". He told me that the girl he needed to talk to had left (now remember the cashier that witnessed is the person who reported it to him initially). He said he was doing everything he could to come to a resolution. I asked him to email me copies of the documents he had in front of him with my signature. He said sure and took down my email address. I have received NOTHING since. I don't know any business that has been around for a long time and does business like this. Some of the reviews here boast that Don Davis operates with great integrity. Integrity for me is all about a person's and/or organization's honesty and willingness to do what is right. I am highly disappointed with don Davis... I want to first start off by saying that the manger terry Collins is the rudest manger I have seen thus far... I normally come in for a oil change (a regular oil change) not a synthetic but a regular.... my car oil light came on and so I pull over to don Davis lucky I was right down the street to figure out why my oil light came on. This is where I noticed that my mileage on my ready for my sticker was off. From my knowledge I am suppose to get a oil change every 3000 miles it has always been this way. But when I ask the question why did you guys put the wrong mileage sticker on my car Mr Collins jumps to you only went over 500 miles.. and that's my point I haven't even reached my (next time oil change miles) and you telling me I went over it by 500. That proved my point that you guys put the wrong sticker mileage on my car. He raised his voice at me and did not show any concern with what was going on. He jumped down my throat before he even knew what happened... he didn't try to look at the sticker he just said it's time for an oil change.. when all I was saying my sticker doesn't say that and I would have kept driving if the oil light wouldn't have came on. read more

I traded in a top of the line 2013 Ford Edge Limited, for a used 2010 Chevy Avalanche LTZ ...I was told that they would give me "X" amount for my trade and fix the things that needed to be fixed on the Avalanche once purchased. I wish I would have done more research before using this crooked, scamming, shameful vehicle STEALERSHIP! Not only did they change the numbers up on me they NEVER gave me a copy of the papers signed! I asked for them, demanded them, and still have yet to receive them almost a year later. They were to replace the passenger mirror due to a crack and the dashboard due to cracks "common in Chevy and GMC". They agreed to these fixes prior to the purchase, after the purchase was made they conveniently had no recollection of said deal, and with NO papers to prove it repairs were not made. After weeks of going back and fourth they agreed to fix the mirror, after their Service Department touched the mirror the motor to fold the mirrors mysteriously stopped working. These are huge SCAM Artists that take advantage of hard working individuals. They lie to your face and pass you around until your dizzy if you call. The 2010 Avalanche has never worked the way it was intended even though they do a SO-CALLED 120 point inspection. I took my car to be appraised and to look at a new vehicle. When they brought my car back to me, the clutch was smoling hot! It was obvious that they made the clutch slip by pushing the pedal half way and driving the hell out of my car. They said "it has a strong odor of clutch. It will probably need a new one". I have never had clutch slippage or never have smelled the clutch. The clutch is still fine and no slippage or smell. I believe this was their way of reducing the trade in value of my car that Blue Books for 4,000 more than they offered. When I AM ready to buy a car, it won't be from Don Davis. read more

The worst service department ever! You are only a face to these people. 25 cars in the bay-only 4 mechanics on hand!! I kid you not! And, when it's pointed out to service manager, he only offers up indignation and excuses. No apologies. Reason: he can't get enough qualified mechanics. Really, in this economy. There were young families waiting with me for hours in the "lounge"! Excruciating. If you live within 15 miles (their shuttle's outside limits), and don't mind riding along with others for infinity, then ok. But if you are otherwise, you will have to rent a car for days while they decide, without expedition for any circumstance, when your car is ready!! What a waste of time. I am new to Texas and needed state inspection so I could register my vehicle. Because it's an older model (94 Jeep) I've had trouble finding someone who could do it and was repeatedly referred to go to a Jeep dealership. I called Don Davis Service and told them the situation and that it was a 94 Jeep and was assured TWICE over the phone that they would be able to do the inspection. I got to the dealership and waited to check in my vehicle. The service manager ran my VIN and knew it was a 94 Jeep when we did paperwork. I then sat in the customer lounge for an HOUR AND A HALF and was then told they could not do my inspection. In fairness, I did not have an appointment, and I could even understand waiting a little while they made sure it could be done. But now, I've wasted 90 minutes and am no closer to a solution. We had a great experience with Jim in the sales department. We were in and out in leasing a new Grand Cherokee. As soon as Jim turned us over to the finance department, however, it fell completely apart. After telling us we had a deal (and signing documents) they turned around and said they had made a mistake. We had to go back and sign documents again. When we were signing documents we noticed that we were signing purchase documents even though we were leasing. Our questions were brushed away saying "don't worry, it's just the form". Lo and behold, a month later we were again contacted. They said that it was an error on the form and we had to sign where we initialled and that they were giving us a lower payment because of it. This was a complete fabrication because when they delivered the new documents for signature it was a lease form (which we pointed out in the first place) meaning they had used the wrong form in the first place and gave me the wrong payment schedule. On top of all of this, they STILL owe me a large sum for my trade in and it's been a month. While their sales people seem great, I would NOT get a car from them again unless they shape up their financing department significantly. read more

Don't get me wrong, my salesman did everything in his power to get me in the car I desired but that FINANCING DEPARTMENT OMG... OK I got the car I wanted after spending MOST of my Saturday there. I signed off on all my financing PPW, had my monthly payment amount along with the terms, and was told to simply call Equifax to update my credit report with my current phone number as this was a condition of my loan. I drove off the lot ecstatic! Ok here comes Monday... They call me in to tell me things changed on my loan and they are not able to honor the original loan. They increased my interest rate and it brought my note from $450 to $650! Are you freaking kidding me. Talk about raining on someone's parade. Well needless to say I gave the car back and got my down payment back as well. This was the biggest waist of time I've ever experienced. I get one Saturday off a month and to spend it in the dealership all day only to have to return the car back is just sad. Thanks for nothing... read more

I found a car online that I was interested in here. Said to my wife I think this is a scam a decent car for a fair price. So I took a pic and called the dealership, pressed 3 for sales gave the lady the stock number and she said to me "yes that vehicle is still here and would you like to make an appt. No what time are you open till? I took a drive with my family for almost an hour and got there ready to buy and guess what? The vehicle that I called 1 hour before was sold last week. But hey we have another car we could sell you, It is a little newer and more expensive. I went along and asked about cars in the lot and the salesman was very professional and gave it his best and went inside the little office with somebody and came out and said I'm sorry but they will not budge on any price of the vehicles in the lot. How are all the dealers allowed to play this scam??? This is a total shame that they are able to play this scam on people and nothing is done about it. I definitely left smarter than I walked in and I don't think I would recommend this place for that reason.... read more
