Terrible! I fell for the hard-sell on an extended warranty and higher-quality products. I don't even have a large home, and the end cost was over $15k. That would be fine had we not had several leaks since the 2022 installation. The warranty turned out to be pointless, because this place seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. I even contacted the BBB, who also could not get a hold of this place. I'm beyond disgusted. read more

DO NOT HIRE THEM!! They hire sub contractors over which they have no quality control over. Its like as if U hired someone off the street. I had all my windows pulled out after Domu installed them with no water barrier, no insulation, over screwed frames, and caulk all over used to cover stuff up. read more

We wanted to replace our doors and were just starting to look into contractors. I can't say much about their doors because we never got that far. We met a rep from Domus at a street fair in the middle of June, he gave us his card for a free door estimate and said he would call to schedule it for July (the card also said free door estimate). They finally called a few weeks later in July and set the date for today at 11am, when they didn't show up by 11:15 we called and were told they had tried to reach us to confirm, so they rescheduled for 12:30 today, then ten minutes later we get a text message saying they don't do estimates for just doors anymore. So we called back and told them we had the card for a free door estimate from the street fair and they said that they don't do that anymore. Not sure if that means they don't do door estimates anymore or they don't honor their commitments anymore. Either way, there are plenty of other options to choose from. I left a review on Google and the next day I received a call from someone from Domus, and he started yelling at me to take down my negative review, telling me it wasn't moral to write negative reviews because they are just guys looking for work. I spent ten minutes being yelled at that I was being unreasonable because they "do" have good customer service (which I have yet to experience, and calling to yell at folks who give you a bad review doesn't help). He tried to explain something about their door provider not being reliable or something like that, hard to understand when someone is yelling on the phone at you. I said if it was a legit reason that they had to cancel our appointment, then they should have just told us this on the call and not had us wait around, reschedule us, and then text us to tell us they don't do door estimates anymore. And he went on about how morally it's wrong to leave bad reviews and how would I feel if someone left me a bad review. I told him, if I also provided crap service then I'd accept the review. I said he's welcome to calm down, count to ten, and then call me back to discuss. But instead he replied to my Google review calling it fraudulent and claimed they had no record of my ever having been in touch with them before, so I added the screenshots of their text messages confirming and later cancelling my appointment. Two days later and my Google review is no longer there, so I assume they just report all negative reviews as fraudulent (I've reached out to Google to appeal). So just be aware. Maybe they do a good job on construction, maybe not, I don't claim to know, since they cancelled our appointment without reason and then called to yell at me for saying as much. read more

I was contacted by Mike D. of domus construction after searching thru home advisor for straight replacement of 1 exterior door and storm door. Mike came to house took pictures discussed replacement then gave quote of 7300. 7300???!! for a 32" 80" steel door and storm door??. I know prices have gone up but thats just crazy talk. read more

In 2021, Domus Construction installed a new roof on my property. Four years later, in [Month] 2025, I experienced a major leak in my living room resulting in over $10,000 worth of damages to my home and personal property. Upon contacting Domus Construction, it took three weeks before they sent anyone to address the issue. The initial "repair" consisted of someone randomly applying silicone to parts of the roof--completely missing the actual source of the leak. It wasn't until two weeks later that a section of the roof was removed and reinstalled, at which point Domus admitted the leak was due to a faulty installation from their original work in 2021. During this repair, I was told that precautions would be taken to protect my pool from construction debris. However, surveillance footage from my outdoor camera clearly shows debris, nails, and even a large metal object falling into my pool. I provided Domus with photographic evidence of this, and they initially claimed they would cover the damages, yet they have not paid, nor have they responded to any further communications. Their customer service has been appalling throughout this process. Office staff have hung up on me during calls, and no one responds to phone calls, emails, or text messages--including their foremen and management team. My insurance company has attempted to contact Domus to recoup the costs of the damages under the warranty and liability claim, but they too have been ignored. Domus Construction has refused to provide proof of their liability insurance to either me or my insurance company, raising concerns about whether they are properly insured at all. Given that they admitted fault in the installation and promised to resolve the issues, this is entirely unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

Finally, when I suggested I might contact other companies they seemed relieved and encouraged me to do so. I just wish they would have said the job was not large enough for them and moved on . read more

I have to change my review for Domus Construction from a 5 star to 10 Stars. In my previous review I mentioned how Ralph the foreman would go out of his way to please, and do it with a smile to boot. Well its been about a month since completion of our new roof and I called Ralph again with a concern unrelated to the amazing job they did on our roof. Guess what? Within three days of my call Ralph sent his top mechanic to see what my problem was and it was resolved within 2 hours. Best yet, Ralph refused payment stating a referral was all that he would accept. Again this is a 10 Star company. We recently moved to NJ from NY and have employed, masons, fence people, electrical contractors, etc. They all did ok work but Domus is in a class of its own. Highly, Highly recommended!!
