    Side salad with French dressing

This was our first visit to Dom's Diner and we chose this restaurant since it's only 4 minutes from McLaren Hospital. It was very clean, parking lot was full of cars. It was really busy, staff was attentive seating us quickly, our waitress was waiting on other tables so her coworker made sure to take and bring our drink order assuring us she'd be with us soon. The food was delivered promptly. The menu had a lot of great choices so we each chose one of the daily specials. See the photos of the Cabbage rolls and Lasagna were as good and delicious as they looked. Even the salad tasted so good I finished it before eating my entrée. I was offered a coffee refill at the end of the meal and would have preferred it during the meal. Thank You for such an enjoyable lunch experience. CLK

A good selection of food at a very reasonable and affordable price. Breakfast all day, which is my favorite. Highly recommended. Family friendly. Service was friendly, quick, and thorough.

On our way up North, we were starving and finally out of town. It was raining, and so it was my task to find a place to eat sooner than later. I checked out places off I-75 and this came up. I figured why not? So, off we went. Pulling off the expressway, it's pretty standard looking from the outside, but it's clean and well decorated on the inside. Sometimes it really is a crapshoot on what you get with random places. We were seated immediately and were given menus to order from. They have tons of food here, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were pleasantly surprised with all the good selections available. I went with a veggie omelet and the man went with eggs, sausage and gravy and toast. Food came out and the portions were huge! I couldn't finish all the food and neither could the man. Service was really on point and every thing here was really good. Overall, I don't know why this place doesn't get better reviews. We both really loved it here and would love to go back again. If you're in the Flint area, swing in and have a good meal here. I promise you will like it!

Dom's Diner Flint Michigan. Nothing family about these people they are nothing but crooks. I ordered a chicken stir fry that did not taste good and was offered to get something else but I had lost my appetite after tasting it and I told them no, I don't want anything else, and instead of just taking it off the bill and charging me for the soup that came with my meal they charged me the full 14.99 price. I was never told that they wouldn't remove it and I'm stuck paying for it. If they would of told me that I would of taken something else. When the bill came it was 14.99 for chicken stir fry...I said I took a bite and it tasted like shit. She tells me just cus you didn't like it you still have to pay for it. well if that's the case and you are forcing me to pay for it, I guess I will take something else. Then they refuse to give me something else for my money, after only maybe 5 minutes prior to asking me if I wanted something else, and then took the offer back. I will never come back to this place again. They don't care about their customers happiness or satisfaction. All they care is about money. I hope to see this place out of business.

If you're craving real, old-school comfort food, Grandma's Recipes absolutely delivers…read more We both ordered the fried chicken, which takes about 25-30 minutes because it's made fresh and it shows. The batter is thin, crispy, and not overly heavy, and the flavor feels like something straight out of a home kitchen. This isn't fast-food fried chicken... this is Sunday dinner at grandma's. The meal itself is a lot of food for around $17: four pieces of chicken, real mashed potatoes with homemade gravy, a vegetable, a potato, plus a salad and a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup with those old-school egg noodles. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not processed or rushed. We also tried the fried mushrooms everyone talks about, and they lived up to the hype. They use large portobello mushrooms, which makes a huge difference. No watery, soggy bite like you get at a lot of places, just a clean, meaty texture with a crispy coating. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. Lighting is dim enough to feel relaxed, and with only about 20 tables, it's not loud or chaotic. No kids running wild or constant traffic in and out, just a laid-back, "take your time" kind of vibe. The space has a log cabin feel with exposed wood, vintage décor, and black-and-white photos. The tables and chairs aren't fancy, but they're clean and fit the nostalgic charm. Service was great during our visit. Our waitress was attentive, checked on us regularly, took our order quickly, and everything came out hot. I've seen mixed reviews about inconsistent service, but our experience (first visit) was very positive. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a win. Between the generous portions, fair pricing, and genuinely homemade feel, this is the kind of place you come back to. They also offer daily specials and make many of their own desserts. I'll definitely be back to try the coconut cream pie. Overall: Comfort food done right, with a cozy, no-frills atmosphere and excellent value.

The waitress was super friendly as was the lady who cashed us out. They have daily specials written on the sign when you first walk in there's plenty of seating mostly Booth style like an old school diner with really cool old photos up on all of the walls and an old legit style jukebox behind the counter. The menu is really good it's full it offers lots of different choices for people of all ages. I got the bacon cheeseburger with french fries and a shake. The shake was absolutely delicious I could go back for just that. It was super thick not overly sweet. It came in a cool metal cup with an actual metal spoon I mean who even gives metal spoon these days. The bacon cheeseburger had crispy edges crispy bacon a fresh tomato and a soft pillowy bun. French fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also had some fried pickles with ranch dressing. The fried pickles were nice because the batter was really thin often times the batter's so thick you can't even taste the pickle this was not the case. I was absolutely thrilled with all of my food it was tasty, it was fresh and hot, the place was clean, and the service was friendly I would go back any day and I would recommend them to anyone.
