I normally wouldn't come here but I was attending mass at the church nearby and came here afterwards to pick up lunch at Starbread next door. This Domino's is so much better than the one I would normally go to in Hillcrest. They don't stuff me on toppings. When I order a seven topping pizza, I expect it to be loaded and that's what I got, especially compared to my local Domino's. And it tasted good. I have no complaints even though I know the locals that eat here more frequently than me probably do. I don't know. I don't care enough to read the other reviews. Slap on the butter garlic sauce man. It's really salty pizza to me. I also think it's bad when the grease from the pizza box is already staining the outside. I order my pizza online for pick up, (1 gluten free cheese and mushrooms and 1 large half cheese and half pepperoni) that was around 5:30pm and the estimated pick up time was 15-18 minutes. I showed up at the counter around 6:05pm. When I asked about my order the young guy at the counter told me it was not ready that it would be 10-15 min. I decided to do take out this time around, due to convenience of not having to cook dinner for once. I placed the order after running some errands and I needed to get back home to my infant; well that did not worked out due to the delay from their end. I didn't quite understand the delay if the they had plenty of staff available 4 people and there was not busy at the counter, but a 15-18 min preparation took over 45 min. At the end you can also tell they rushed the order because the large pizza had verily any cheese and sauce you can see the dough right through, the gluten free was good. I have order from here before and never had this issues, but I hope that this was a one time hiccup, but as food place I believe it should be done right all the time to keep good business. So my son says he was starving and wanted Star Bread. We arrived at 515pm and of course they are closed. So he then proceeds with almost a meltdown and sees there is a pizza place next door. Fine...we order a small cheese pizza and was told it would take 10 mins. Next to the glass window is suggests we can watch them make it. I pick up my little kid so we can watch. So I see a guy, who was also our cashier, flatten the dough with his fingers. Next to him was a girl holding onto her cellphone. He passes the pizza dough to her and she then proceeds to touch the pizza dough. She didn't wash her hands nor put on gloves. I stand there shocked. I'm very disappointed with the service I received tonight. I placed a simple order online for a sandwich for my son, requested it to be curbside pick up, notified the store I was there by the tracker at 821pm when my order was done, was notified to turn on my hazard lights to be able to locate me, mind you I parked in front of the store and was not acknowledged at all. I waited 20mins to see if anyone will notice the flashing lights and nothing. So then I called and was told to come to the door. That is not what I requested. If that was the case I would've just requested a regular carryout. And when I asked what was the purpose of me selecting curbside pick up if m not even being acknowledged i was respoded with just a sorry about that. The manager on duty even took a few moments to go over the whole ordering process with me and answered a few questions that I had. It was a Friday night so every one was moving, but it flowed well and everyone seemed chill. They were a cool staff of people and the manager, super cool. Great Service overall on this visit. Food/Cleanliness: The lobby area and the cooking and prep areas were neat and tidy. Of course this place isn't a dine in place so the upkeep I'm sure isn't hard, but indeed it was a delight to look back at the prep area and see it was clean. Now on to the "Food" I went with the "Large 3 topping carry out Pizza" ($7.99 + $.70 tax = $8.69) For my topping I got Mushroom, Sausage and Bacon on the standard crust. The pizza was super fresh as they don't do "Hot and Ready" and sit it under heat lamps like that "Little Roman guys" company. "Dominos" sprinkle a seasoning on their crust that is a really nice touch and makes it seem as if you're eating pizza made with garlic bread. A perfect amount of toppings and cheese I liked the pizza I got and the value was the best. A pizza equal to this at other establishments would of easily costed more. Overall: A good pizza for the value, my only thing was they didn't have any "Parmesan Cheese" which honestly seems to be the case at most pizza parlors. So I gave this location another go and was pleasantly surprised today, the interior looks recently renovated and was very clean. Pizza was made quicker than what their online menu advised and staff was friendly and upbeat. Would've given 5 stars if my pizza didn't come out a little over cooked but, overall tasted great. Unfortunately, it took much longer than I'd expected. I ended up visiting this Dominos to get my food. When I went, Sofia, the assistant manager, was extremely helpful and understanding. She took care of my order and informed me that they were short staffed, along with a delivery driver calling sick. What stuck out to me was her professionalism- she could have made excuses, but instead just did the next right thing. The next time I ordered, I brought up the same situation, and they honored a discount for me! I spoke with Shakir who was able to pull up my account and take care of me immediately. As I work in customer service, the way that they handled this was well beyond my expectations. I love the food and am glad the service matches in quality.
