They offer indoor and outdoor seating. You can tell everything was freshly made; the margarita pizza is a MUST! The caperese salad and seafood pasta was also so good! The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the chicken in the salads, doesn't taste too fresh.... chicken wings were okay as well, a bit too oily... Sorry I don't have pictures, but trust me it's a must visit for luray and especially after a long day of hiking :) and they have ice cream

The rate is…read morefor the food or drinks, I hate those who rate on the service, a bad waiter or waitress, really doesn't tell me about the food. I only want to know about the food quality. So, this place had awesome service. The waitress was polite, attentive and yet her broken English worked perfectly for the position she was in. She knew the menu and came back to check on us more than a few times. 4/5 stars for the service. She was the best thing about the place. For the food, 1 star. The pictures on the yelp site showing the food explain it all. Notice some images show the food with excess liquid, I mean watery beans without any flavor? And then the rice was served without any seasoning. The guacamole came with huge chunks of tomatoes and it was hard to separate the avocado from the tomatoes. When we sat the waitress brought out chips and salsa. Half the chips were going stale. The salsa was good but more of a liquid consistency. We asked the chips be sent back and new ones brought out. The waitress did without a complaint. Then the things went downhill fast. My wife ordered the Chicken Fajitas for two, "Meh." I asked her about the beans and rice, "Meh." At least the margarita was good. It was sweet, but that is common and can depend on someone else's palate. She requested the corn tortillas because she forgot to order them at the beginning. The waitress brought them out without a problem. They tasted, "Meh." I ordered the Deluxe Burrito, it came out looking like a Picasso done by a three year old, filled with beef from a chef who used to work at the Bell. I tried to eat it but, "Meh." Long and short, nothing had seasoning unless it had the wrong seasoning and nothing was done right. This place deserves a 1 star.

It was solid -- the pulled pork and ribs were very good slow cooked, and the sides were well-portioned and tasty. An overall very positive experience and very reasonably priced. Edit: I definitely visited this restaurant after going through the Luray Caverns. I however confused having Mac and Cheese here with having it at Whiskey and Chicken in DC. Thanks for the correction :-)

Lunch: I ordered their meatloaf special - which comes with two sides. I chose mashed potatoes and corn. The food came out in about 10 minutes. The meatloaf was tasty - however, only the ends of it were hot. The center of the meatloaf was actually cold. The corn was terrible. It was chewy - I have no idea how you get corn to that texture. The masked potatoes were basic - but at least well executed and they were hot. No gravy was served with the mashed potatoes. I was in a bit of a hurry - so I did not ask them to "re-heat" the remaining center of meatloaf - and the corn was not redeemable. Breakfast: I went with their sausage gravy over a biscuit, eggs, breakfast potatoes and bacon, plus coffee. Everything was delicious - except for the breakfast potatoes. They were bland and at room temperature. I don't know how the potatoes were actually prepared - but texture-wise they tasted like someone had cut potatoes into cubes, boiled them, and then set them on a plate. The potatoes desperately needed some char/crispiness added to them, as well as some seasoning. I had wolfed down all of my breakfast - except for the potatoes - when my server came by to check on me. She asked how things were - and I relayed that everything was good - except for the potatoes. She offered to take the potatoes back and have the kitchen heat them up and add some char/crispiness to them. I declined - as at that point I was full. The successful components of my breakfast dragged up my overall rating to 3. I probably would have gone as high as 4 stars if the potatoes were better. The Men's restroom needs to be renovated and cleaned. Service was good - not sure if I would come back here after two substandard food-quality experiences. #BrooksideRestaurant
