Stopped by for the first time and left extremely satisfied. HUGE portions, incredible food. Wonderful service.

A good, out of the way spot. Cute once you're inside. Excellent service with the sweetest waitress. Portions are HUGE and some were somewhat bland but they have excellent hot sauces. Very reasonable prices and definitely made to order. Lots of fresh hot chips and salsa too.

Very few places open on weekdays for dinner late in this area. My husband and I came on a thurs night our first day at Shenandoah National Park. The inside is interesting...looks like a town hall rec center that was made into a Mexican place. But the staff was very nice and the food was good so I recommend!

Location is in a weird place next to storage units. Definitely a hidden gem! Walking in it looks dark and questionable. But was absolutely phenomenal. Sweet server and very friendly. Homemade salsa was so good and I do not like salsa but this was so good, like gazpacho. The queso was good and the chips were so good and homemade. The burrito Camino real mega was phenomenal. Ground beef, rice and beans and just the best. Better than any of our favorite Mexican restaurants. We are an hour and 30 from here but we will definitely be back!

Fantastic Mexican spot, the yes, just so happens to be plopped in the middle of a storage unit facility. If you can look past the odd location (which, as a lover of all things unusual, is actually a plus for me), the food is fantastic, and the service was excellent! My margarita was great too. Would absolutely come back if I find myself in Luray again.

Strangely situated in the middle of a storage facility, but perfectly squared away our hunger pains. The decor is a bit off putting but don't let that fool you- this is the oasis in the middle of bumF nowhere. There's really not many food options in the area, and especially more so on Mondays-Wednesdays. There is a Taco Bell and some other fast food joints, but if you want some homie food, this is where to go! We had such a hard time looking up restaurants and decided to make the drive back out to Luray all the way from Skyland Lodge where we were staying about 35-40 mins out (and this is after we had already gone from Luray Caverns to Skyland, so it was a trip all the way back where we started). It was well worth the trip bc I can't say I was looking forward to any food from Skyland's Dining Room (and after I had breakfast there the next morning, I can confirm the somewhat long drive was worthy). We had the carnitas de pollo, which is a stir fry of chicken breast, bell peppers, onion, in a special salsa (and they're salsa is delish), accompanied by Mexican rice and sour cream. The seasoning was just right- not too salty nor bland. We also ordered the Fajita Real, which was a mixture of chicken, steak, and shrimp. It was actually similar to the other dish with just less seasoning and tortillas + guac. Overall, solid option in the area. If you're ordering drinks, I recommend you opt for something more standard like mojitos, shots, or margaritas (they have a full bar but not too many liquor selections).

Food was ok. The drive there is really sketchy. I was the only one there. I didn't like the carnitas much but I was so hungry and ate the tortilla and rice and beans. Service was

    #3. 1 taco, 1 enchilada, and tamale.

The service was phenomenal, like going to Grandma's house. Super comfortable, very caring waitress. Food was incredible and the frozen margarita (I got banana) was fantastic and had real bananas in it! By far the best and most genuine Mexican food i've ever had. 10/10 service and food!

My family and I came to try this restaurant only because of the YELP Reviews. We first walked in and we weren't really greeted. The server asked us how many and to sit there. My husband and I rooked at each other and still sat down. We arrived around 540 PM. It was busy. There were only two waitresses and they had many tables to attend including the bar section. I didn't know there was a bar section until it was time to check out. It took 30 to put our order in- even for our drinks. We were patient because we saw that the waitresses were overwhelmed. One hour later we got our food. It was a long 1.5 hours but I would say it was worth it. We noticed that it was just the owner himself cooking all the dishes as fast as they were coming in. The owner- wife- walked by and offered a discount for our food due to the inconvenience but we offered to pay full price. We are under a rough time with unforeseen circumstances the owners are doing what they can. I just wished the waitresses took a step back and greet everyone and let them know it's only one cook and it'll be a wait time for food to come out.

Wasn't impressed at all. Went one time and that was my last time. My meal was just runny beans on my plate. Messy!

We were in the area to celebrate a baby shower and decided to have a group dinner. Mr Garcia was recommended and we were all in!!! Few things cannot be cured with a delicious quesadilla. Upon arriving, parking was FULL! Certainly popular. We even ran into friends in the lot pulling up with their parties too. It's a large establishment! Menu was full of great options- from meat, to chicken, to veggie. Can I just say- as a Spanish speaker myself, I know the food will be good and authentic when native Mexicans are managing and owning the establishment. Even the servers were bilingual! We started with a round of drinks, I ordered a pina colada and several at the table ordered peach margaritas and modelos. Drinks were delicious and a good size! The special prices were just right. Then we ordered our main entrees. Due to it being a Friday in lent, I ordered the veggie combo where I had several options to pick 2 from for a meal. I got the chile relleno with cheese potatoes and beans and the veggie quesadilla. It was very filling! The food came out straight from the kitchen! Other dishes ordered also looked incredible- from the arroz con pollo to the taco salad. The chips weren't my favorite, tbh. Seemed a little burnt and thick. I like my tortilla chips from restaurants "restaurant style" so thin and greasy and crispy, and these weren't that :( they also had a white sauce served with chips and it was sweet and strange honestly. Of all the authentic aspects of this cuisine, this one pick didn't belong. I understand wanting to cater to the locals but this sauce didn't seem enjoyable at all. The chips also aren't bottomless, one basket more is free and any following is $1.99, not much but still. I ordered a flan to go! I'll absolutely be back!

Nothing to write home about but fine for the area. Tbh if I wanted actual high quality food I'd usually just go to Harrisonburg or the next town over, Massanutten or Penn laird. Still, they have a bar... that never turns its tv on. I think it knows what it is and does what it is fine. Service is good enough. Ambiance is generic?

Taqueria Guadalajara has a bit of a tucked away location just on the outskirts of Winchester,…read morewhich gives it that standalone, local spot feel. While having its own building is a plus, parking can quickly become a headache during busy hours, so timing your visit makes a difference. Walking in, there wasn't a host present, which made the entrance feel a little unorganized at first. However, a server quickly stepped in and pointed us in the right direction. From there, the experience improved the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which helped set a positive tone for the meal. The burrito was the highlight. It came out well prepared with solid flavor throughout, even though it didn't include any sides. Normally, that might feel like something is missing, but the taste was good enough to carry the dish on its own. Pricing leans a bit on the higher side, which is something to keep in mind, especially given the lack of extras. Overall, Taqueria Guadalajara delivers where it matters most good flavor and friendly service even if it has a few logistical hiccups like parking and the initial lack of greeting. It's the kind of place that leaves you debating between a 4 and a 5, but the quality of the food ultimately pushes it into 5-star territory
