I called to to place an order for delivery. The young man that I placed my order with refused to give me his name.He stated that he was the owner's son as though that was something I should know. When he finally gave me his name , I decided to cancel the order because I didn't trust that they wouldn't spit in my food or do something to it. I wouldn't trust anybody anywhere to make my food if they're not even gonna tell me their name. When I requested to cancel my order, I ended app having to call back to get them to cancel it before it was even made.So now i'm waiting to see if they're going to charge me anyway. read more

I don't usually do this but I warn anyone who goes to Anthony's Pizza in Luray they charge .75 for every condiment you put on a sub absolutely ridiculous $3.75 for lettuce, tomato extra mayonnaise and onion I WILL NOT eat there ever again oh not to mention never did get a refill on my drink had to whipe my hands on my pants cause there was no napkins on the table read more

Overall we had a pleasant experience eating in today. There are a bunch of tables inside the restaurant and they offered table service. There was in waiter but not many people eating inside. I could feel air conditioning when I walked passed it but the restaurant was a little warm. Had the fried pickles. They were very good. The garlic knots needed to be a little warmer and probably needed a little salt and pepper added to them. Meatball sub was good. The pizza was ok. They had a good amount of beers in the bottle to offer. There were a bunch of wine bottle that I saw as well. They also had fountain drinks. We went to Luray caverns so it was very convenient to eat there as we left the caverns. The prices were very good as well. All in all a good experience. Nice and quick in and out. Quality/flavor of food is kind of all over the place. If you're from NY/NJ, keep your expectations of the pizza low and you won't be disappointed. My chief complaints: chicken nuggets were burnt to inedibility (visibly so, whoever let them get sent out needs re-training), while mozzarella sticks were under-cooked (like eating a string cheese rolled in bread crumbs). Take out order so not worth taking back. Onion Rings were great. And a suggestion I have with many, many places--for takeout orders, please poke a small hole in the boxes containing fried food (like French Fries) so the steam can escape and not make the food inside soggy! read more

I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It came with a side salad and a garlic bread. I also ordered a spicy Italian sub to go. Specified no mayo no oil and vinegar but on the side a balsamic vinegar. I repeated this 3 times the last time pointing to the menu The fettuccine was barely ok. No flavor. Where's the garlic? The salad was old The garlic bread was an old looking bread dough and very dense. No way to eat it Then I get home and the sun had everything. I called and they fixed a new sun but I had to drive back 6 miles to retrieve it. I did return the soggy other sub. If you must go check your food before leaving. First off love the staff here. They are so beyond kind and friendly. This restaurant hires good people. As soon as you walk in, expect a warm greeting and excellent service. Definitely a solid family restaurant. It's close to Luray Caverns, and a host of other attractions. You're probably thinking 3 stars only? Yes but I do dig this place. Yet for a restaurant to get four is rare with me. Am admittedly uptight about food being different from other spots. Sure you can get some decent subs here, and the pizza is okay, but nothing screams "delicious or to devour." The food is good, but there's no recipe that has me clamoring for more. Yet do I recommend it? Absolutely! I do wish their pizzas were, a little more flavorful, but this isn't a city area with lots of competition. We had been to Cooter's 25th Reunion, and a gentleman was passing out menus, so we decided to give it a try, and we were glad we did! It's a smaller restaurant but they made room for our large group. Excellent service and the food was great! The group had everything from sandwiches, pizza, breadsticks to dinners and everyone was very pleased with their meal! ordered the nachos which was a mistake . Very nasty with only cheese and Jalapeños. There was no salsa or sour cream served with it .Had to flag a server down , that brought me sour cream, was told that they don't serve salsa or taco sauce .I was hungry and never saw my server back again , so I ate the whole 2 spoons of topping , which was all that was on the nachos . Made a delivery order this evening. The prices are reasonable and the delivery arrived in a timely manner. Though I am very disappointed with my order. The garlic knots are ridiculous.... Though you be the judge per the pic I have added. The taste of the garlic knots was not very garlicky and were a bit over cooked (probably based on the fact that they are so small) the marinara sauce that came with them is very thin and taste many of bland tomato, no zest or seasoning. It's not very often that I indulge in the carbs of garlic knots but this seems like it was a wasted of effort. Not really sure if I will ever order from here again. read more

I had a steak and cheese sub - tasted pretty generic. My biggest issue was that I ordered the sub and didn't specify the 6" small or the 12" large. When food was brought out, I incorrectly assumed I received the 6", however, they claimed and charged me for the 12"! Was certainly not worth the price. read more

Cousin had roach in his lasagna before new owners. Then I had a bug leg in my sub after new ownership. Wouldn't refund me for the sub because I ate over half of it. So because it was in the last half of my sub I couldn't get a refund? Wasn't the only thing that I ordered either so makes me wonder what else is in the food. Great pizza and the Stromboli was amazing! The Crust wasn't too heavy or too light and the service was quick and friendly! After 6 hours of hiking the AT i stopped in for dinner. The waitress way very attentive and the food came out quickly. This New York style pizza was delicious!!! I love thin crust pizza and this crust was the perfect "thickness". Perfectly sauced with Italian sausage, pepperoni, peppers, and mushrooms. Won't be going back to Anthony's! My pizza roll had a fly baked in the cheese, and the owner was extremely rude to me when I asked for a refund. I had bought it the evening before as a takeout, just before closing. I live about 30 minutes away, so could not go back to the restaurant with it until the next day. When I took it back the owner said it was already all eaten (a little more than 1/3 was eaten before discovering the fly). He then said I should have checked it before I ate it. Seriously?! I asked him if he would be happy if he found a fly in his food. He absolutely refused to refund the cost. I then asked for a new one, which he grudgingly agreed to make. I won't be eating it however, and he has lost my business and that of my extended family! read more

Look , there is not a lot in this area. It was pizza. It wasn't bad , the service was good and it was clean. I rated it three because the pizza is ok. It is better then frozen but nothing to write home about. I can't rate it any better just because there is nothing else around.
