We split a French Onion Griller: a heaping pile of rare roast beef on. Toasted ciabatta roll with Swiss cheese, carmelized onions, and a side of jus. (Pet peeve of mine: I hate hearing people say "served with au jus" because "au jus" literally means "with juice", and the double with-with is, well, annoying. Rant mode off!). The sandwich was excellent, and easily shareable between us. I need to make the trek to their brick and mortar place in Brunswick but until I do I will keep watching for their arrival in our neighborhood. It's worth the wait!

The converted church space gives it real character, and the atmosphere is warm without trying too hard. The staff were friendly, quick to engage, and kept things moving even with a steady crowd. Bonus: live local musicians doing a pick up session! Food and coffee both landed well. Vegetarian friendly, fresh, balanced, and clearly made with care. It's the kind of spot where you can settle in for a quiet hour, meet someone for a casual lunch, or for C&O cyclists, refuel with a solid drink and good service.

This spot is located in the "city center" of Brunswick. Parking is plentiful, and I got a spot a block up. I had a schedule to keep, so I just got an iced coffee to go, but I loved taking in the decor of the place. It was a sunny day and the light was streaming through the stained glass windows. There is a food menu and some baked goods, though I didn't get anything to eat. There are also cute little stickers, magnets, keychains etc. advertising the area and the C&O towpath that a lot of bikers like to ride. If I lived nearby, this would definitely be a regular place to meet up with friends. It's a really unique spot!

My impression of the menu is that it's kind of a Middle Eastern, Mexican, American, everything place. The Philly sub was more of a flat sandwich than a traditional philly, different style of bread, but tasty and satisfying. I opted for the chips instead of the french fries to cut some calories Feels very much like an old school neighborhood pub. Looking around, and taking the fact that it's a very small town, I can see this being a social focal point for the area. A nice full bar. There wasn't anything to dislike about it, nice people, nice food, warm, and comfortable, easy five stars. BUT. The one thing that pushed it way over the top was that instead of standing there, awkwardly intimidating, with the card machine in their hand waiting for me to pay, THEY LEFT IT ON THE TABLE AND WALKED AWAY! I can't express how happy this made me. Little things go a long way.
