I've enjoyed their pizza for many years. It's probably the most authentic New York style pizza around. Thin crust is slightly crispy but still airy, sauce is only slightly sweet, cheese is almost creamy in flavor. While it has changed ownership a few times over the years, the food quality has remained very good and consistent. They are known for their yummy garlic knots. The inside, though hasn't changed in decades and it shows... some of the dining seating is worn down and the overhead menu discolored... most people do takeout. That's not to suggest you pass this place by... it's very good! I do recommend checking it out! read more

I hate leaving reviews like this, but, this was probably the worst pizza I have had since the last time I ate a frozen Tombstone pizza. No flavor. None. No salt or flavor in the dough, barely any sauce. The sauce itself was watery and lacking any depth. No char or browning on the cheese or toppings. So flavorless. I'm so sad. I've heard good things but no. Also tried the garlic knots and just no. Not cooked through, no flavor, and served with a side of watery sauce. Do not get the chicken Caesar wrap--minuscule amount of chicken, tiny chopped pieces of romaine--for $10.75 lolol plus tax Do not get their cowboy sub (unless you are a regular in which case it will be loaded). If you are not a regular, it will be skimpy. The service is great but the manager might be having a bad day--maybe all his days are bad?--so do not ask him any questions about the menu because he will answer, "read the menu." This has always been our go to place for a great pizza - just like Jersey. Yes it isn't the fanciest or nicest place - but that never deterred us. Great pizza & vibe. We went the other night and noticed the prices were removed from the board - no biggie. Ordered our usual large pizza with 2 toppings. Was close to $19...pizza is higher - toppings are now $2 a topping??? still no biggie. We get the economy stinks & restaurants are affected. The kick in the pants was went I went up to grab a small side of sauce - when I say small they gave me a little cup the size of a 1/2 dollar coin...then told me it was $1. SERIOUSLY?!? This is beyond petty....If it were a large cup sure. It was like 1/2 bite of sauce. I'm done with this place and that's a shame. We've sent so many people there that we know. Ok, first off, can I give this spot 5 stars off the smell alone!?! OMG! The food smelled so fresh, and the ride home to Frederick, was agony! With that said, my husband and I were recommended to eat here by our real estate agent. He told us that King's is his favorite pizza restaurant in the area. We were pleasantly surprised and satisfied, with the way this restaurant's staff wore their masks and gloves. Pre-covid and in a present covid environment while eating out, being safe if and clean, is super important, but not everyone follows the rules. However, I'm happy the staff here does because, it makes me feel good eating here and supporting this business. The pizza was great! I enjoyed the Sicilian pepperoni pizza, chicken wings, and garlic knots. Not a bad Saturday afternoon lunch. The crust on the pizza was really good. I enjoyed having a crust that I could actually eat, and not throw it away because, it's "just crust!" This crust had some flavor and tasted "sweet", and soft on the inside but crunchy on the outside. The sauce was really good too. I'm a pizza lover, so the pizza has to be on point, and King's hit the spot! Even if everything isn't authentically "homemade", I appreciate it giving me the vibes and feels! The gentleman that took our order was nice and friendly too! Moreover, I appreciate the "old skool" feel of this restaurant. It reminds me of NYC and picking up a slice in an old pizzeria in the city where the locals like to frequent. It also, reminds me of a few pizza spots in Boston's North End and some around Dorchester near Southie not far JFK /UMASS station where we used to order from. Without a doubt, the worse pizza we have EVER had. The toppings seemed to be minced as we were not able to recognize the sausage, mushrooms or onions at all. it was bland and the crust was not crispy. All in all a huge failure which makes us one time customers. read more

Usually always pleased with the taste of everything here, amazing garlic knots and mozzarella sticks HOWEVER, the red sauce in the baked ziti/penne tasted like perfume / floral, I'm used to the normal sweetness of their red sauce which is what made their flavors balance so perfectly but it was hard to enjoy. This was the same experience my boyfriend had, which he gets the same dish every time he's gone and this is the first time he's ever not eaten it. Asked if they changed the sauce and couldn't get clear answer but 100% sure it did not taste right or the same as it has been for years. read more

Kings is much better than the local Dominos and Papa Johns. I love their large pizza with extra cheese. It takes like authentic Italian pizza, similar to J&P Pizza or Mama Lucias. It is a real bummer though that it is only good when the right person is cooking it. Many times it is overcooked on the bottom (slightly brown and hard) and since it is thin it makes it difficult to bite. It ruins it, really which is why it got 3 stars. I also love their baked Penne pasta, but be sure to ask for extra sauce on the side as there is never enough and it can be very dry and tasteless when it is lacking sauce. Last, it is a small location, with limited ovens, so plan ahead because there could be a 30 to 60 minute wait even for one pizza. Their spinach pie is very delicious and they sell it by the slice or a whole pie. read more

This is the sh*t King's served me on Friday afternoon. Looked like and tasted like they used a pre-Thanksgiving leftover cheese pie, added some mozzarella, and attempted to pass it off as "NY Pizza". I lived in NYC and am in NY almost every week, and NO! pizzeria in NY is serving anyone sh*t pizza because if they did within a week they'd have a "Gone Out of Business" sign hanging on the door. I don't eat a lot of pizza here in Maryland...just being a New Yorker. But, based on pics and recommendations, I drove to King's pizza in Brunswick. As soon as you walk in...the smell is quite familiar. I'll say this... you're not going to get the crust outside of NYC...but they've got the taste and pretty good crust too. Pleasantly surprised. While the pizza is ok.. calling in and being told it's Friday and busy 4:50 pm, is somewhat expect, so a 50 minute readiness can be expected.. however arriving in 60 minutes, then being told it will be another 15-20 minutes.. now some what frustrated.. but the 15-20 minutes now turned into 45 minutes.. the pizza was under cooked and the garlic knots rock hard.. unfortunately it will be a long long time before we return.. busy is not an excuse.. manage it better and tell people when calling in, it's going to be an hour plus.. or unknown!!!!! read more

Ordered pizza from Kings in Brunswick tonight. Placed our order about 4:50 and was told 45 z 50 minutes. I waited nearly an hour and a half before I called because I know they're notoriously late and I've been ok with that in the past. Driver went to the wrong house and didn't bother to call even tho I confirmed the address 3 times and gave my phone number when I placed the order. I asked if the pizza was cold and was told no. When the driver arrived, the pizza was ice cold so we told him to take them back. When I called to ask them to make new ones, I was told it will be a while because other orders were ahead of me. At this point its been nearly 2 hours since I placed the order. I asked to talk to the manager. I was told that he's not interested in making new pizzas. When I asked to talk to him again I was told he's too busy. What are the odds that I'll EVER call back? I don't normally ppst this kind of review because I understand that times are tough right now, but this was over the top. read more
