They never cut corners On the way home from work in DC this location is very easy off of 270 and 15 and is very easy to find it sits right behind the Dairy Queen and near Roy Rogers. The staff is always polite and friendly and helpful and the inside is always very clean with plenty of seating. I phoned in an order from the highway and when I got there, it was ready in about two minutes and they always show you the pizza to make sure it's done right and it always says we've never had an issue with our food from here. It's always well prepared And is full flavor. I have to laugh because the picture on the boxes of the Baltimore Ravens and unfortunately, I'm not a raven fan but a Pittsburgh Steeler fan so I had a good laugh whenever they handed me the box. Last minute, we stopped at this Ledo location for dinner to-go. Nick ordered a large hot honey pizza, Kareem ordered the gyro, and I ordered the Athena salad with grilled chicken. All of us felt the food was pretty good. The only reason for me not to give 5 stars is because the balsamic dressing was just okay and the pizza looked really greasy. Typically, I have a good experience there and the people who work there are nice and polite. I love Lido's pizza however, on Tuesday I ordered Carrie out. I didn't get a couple of the minor things I requested on my online order such as an extra ranch cup, Parmesan cheese packets, and pepper packet. My main issue with our dinner that night was that the pizza did not have much flavor. The typically yummy sauce was almost tasteless. It seemed as if they may had watered it down. Ordered two pizzas tonight via an online app. I made a mistake with the order (shouldn't have used an online app). The woman at the counter was very disrespectful and dismissive. She told me she didn't care and then walked away. All in all very poor service, even though a mistake was made on my part, it was handled poorly. The medium sausage pizza we picked up was terrible! Definitely did not take like a Ledo's pizza or any other pizza for that matter. My wife said it smelled like dish soap, I called to alert the manager of this issue but she said it's the same dough we have been using for the past hour so I am not sure what the problem would be. I ordered a small pizza and changed mind to get a medium after the small came. I asked if they could remove the small charge and add the medium pizza charge and just bring another small. 2 smalls= 18 slices for about $18 and a medium is 20 slices for $14. The gentleman who took my order was very courteous and even took the time to explain my pickup options so we were both clear for both of our safety. I'm a SUCKER for good customer service. This bottom dwelling establishment is the least well operated Ledos in Maryland and couldn't deliver on the fundamental component of the dish which was the meatballs. When asking for a refund they gave the audacity to only refund the alleged menu price for two meatballs. When you miss the fundamental component of the dish, you completely ruin the dish and the right thing to do is to refund the whole dish. But you can trust that when given the opportunity to do the right thing, the employees of this dumpster fire of a pizza place fail to step up and do the right thing. Instead they go into your pocket, under perform and then expect you to thank them and tip them for the "pleasure" of the experience. Couldn't recommend this particular Ledos less. However, I noticed one very unsanitary thing that you might want to be cognizant of, particularly if u r getting pizza to go. This place is disgusting. I ordered a pizza here tonight and it was undercooked. When I went to pick it up the guy cooking the pizza snapped at the cashier who asked for them to run the pizza through longer saying it was going to ruin the pizza. I asked for his name because I didn't like his horrible attitude or disgusting commentary he made to the kitchen staff after I was still at the counter and they were bad mouthing me. He then turned around and said you can call and tel who ever you want I don't care. I walked back in to get the menu with the phone number so I could call back and try to speak with the owner who I later found out from the kids working the front that it wasn't him even though he said this was his Ledos. He's at the counter talking bad about me again. I then told him he was incredibly unprofessional and he lost a customer and multiple more I would have sent this way because of his poor behavior. His response was what I would have expected from his uneducated self, "well whatever we're up 12 grand in Revenue in the last month so don't care. You can go elsewhere." His comments were appalling and the fact that he asked "well you've never worked in a kitchen so what would you know?"... hmm but I have. I've been an ops manager and worked in the restaurant industry for close to 10 years I know all about how to cook a pizza and how to act professionally and that was a clear example how NOT to. I'm going to reach out to Ledos corporate office but I'm also going to make sure I tell everyone I know in Frederick and elsewhere to never come here. I wish I had asked for my money back because this establishment didn't deserve a single penny of mine or anyone else's for that matter. It's crazy how the quality of Ledos locations vary by where they are, and typical Frederick it's ran by imbeciles who don't know a single thing about how to run a company. It saddens me to give Ledo's a two star review. This is based solely on the lack of toppings. Ledo's has some of the best pizza around. This is my go to when I am in the mood for bacon and a lot of it. I pass along the wonderful news of what is Ledo's pre-cooked bacon pizza to anyone who cares to listen. It is that good. Crispy and wonderful, not soggy...thanks to the pre-cooking. The best part about the pre-cooked bacon is the fact that the pizza is covered there is no such thing as skimping on toppings. Every piece of pizza is loaded. OR should I say that was the case but not so much with this Ledo's it was very disappointing to open the box on our large pre-cooked bacon pizza last Thursday to realize that not only was the pizza not covered but that the toppings were so scarce that some pieces went completely without the wonderful covering of pre-cooked bacon. This could be the worst pizza I have ever had. I still wonder how there are so many of them in the area that are still in business. I went their for lunch. The cheese was rubbery and disgusting. They used canned mushrooms, which made my pizza soggy. After lunch both my dining partner and I had terrible stomach issues for the rest of the day, and I generally have a strong digestive system! I like the really thin crust and I am sure this is not shocking to mist people, but a majority of pizza joints use canned ingredients. If you want something fresher go across the street to Mama Luchia. I would think that the inability to digest might have had more to do with the quantity than the quality. 5 stars for offering a Gluten-Free version of their pizza...and It Is Good!!!! Last night's dinner was my families first experience with Ledo's Pizza...we ordered a Veggie Pizza, and also a Gluten Free pizza for me, because i cannot tolerate Wheat. The fact that they had a Gluten Free version available was the reason we picked them to order from ...and both pizza's were EXCELLENT!! Ledo's is now our Go to' restaurant for carry-out pizza :-) THe menu plainly states that they do NOT have a gluten-free kitchen, and so if you or you child are severely allergic to gluten, then proceed with care...but for those of us with moderate reactions, or who just prefer to cut back on their wheat consumption...this pizza is a perfect option...and delicious too! read more
