The place is cute inside, a lot bigger than it appears outside until you walk in and see the place. Plenty of seating. We started with the mozzarella sticks which were good. The salad, it's called the Special Salad and wow was it special. The sausage was real sausage chunks which were amazing. The pizza is the Supremo without mushrooms and olives, we got a large so we can take some home and I'm glad I did and I'll be sad when it's gone. I need to expand on this a little.... First off it's an amazing Chicago Deep Dish and it looked better than anyplace I have found in Vegas or Henderson that claims to do Chicago Style and I've tried them. The sauce, it was the BEST sauce I've had out here...you can just give me a bottle of that sauce with a straw, that's how tasty it was. There was no shortage of the ingredients and all were amazing. Boulder City is not close for me anymore as I live out by Kyle Canyon but I would drive to BC just to eat here again. I would love to try a few other items on the menu but this pizza is by far in my 30 years living in Vegas is the BEST I have had in every way, the sauce, the toppings, the crust which I did not mention earlier is the BEST and I will be back. It is worth the drive just for the food and service. There was not an unhappy person in the place except for me when I had to leave but I was stuffed and I have some for later.

As many who have been to Boulder City know, they roll up the sidewalks pretty early at night and although it's a delightful town, there's only a short list of things to do once the sun goes down. That said, after a 12 hour workday in the desert heat, the things I could count on was the quick walk, cheap drinks and the friendly conversations that can be found at Maxx's bar. I've been here a couple times now this week already, but tonight I stopped by after 12 hours in the sun, a Panda Bowl and a shower to grab a few drinks. As I walked down the street I could hear loud music playing and figured they just had the speakers up more than usual, but as I walked up I noticed a singer on the patio. He was singing some classics from my days, but with a raegae twist and it was quite pleasant to hear and see, especially alongside the crowd having fun outside. I really appreciate the fact that they have live music on Wednesdays. I walked in and parked my awkward butt on a barstool and was welcomed in by Kristen. She asked me what I'd like and she quickly served me my order. It felt nice being an outsider in the community, but still feeling welcomed and I was fortunate to be able to share a casual conversation with Kristen. Throughout the evening, she was very attentive and kept the beverages flowing while also tending to patrons both inside as well as on the patio enjoying the live music. This is obviously a bar with quite a few regulars, but that's what I love about bars back home and it made me feel very welcome. I enjoyed watching some game highlights on TV and took the time to catch up on emails and texts from earlier in the day. All around, this is a fantastic bar to stop by whether you're passing through or staying in town for a few days. As someone who appreciates consistency and routine, I definitely hope to be back soon and enjoy another relaxing evening at Maxx's. Two thumbs up for Kristen and the Maxx's team!

Because one of the regulars made a point to loudly express his opinion that "all women are batshit crazy" and there is a Trump sign prominently displayed on the wall, I quickly understood that I am not welcome here. I'm sad because I would have enjoyed becoming a regular if they didn't hate me so much.

Mind you when we dine in we're kind of easy because we order, eat, and leave. The service was good, we felt like we were taken care of and they were kind. We order the OG breakfast sandwich and the pork chili verde omelette. We came in really hungry so I thought it was going to hit the spot. My husband and I really tried to like the food but it just wasn't as flavorful as it looked. The croissant bread wasn't as buttery as we hoped for and since the pork chili verde omelette was seen on food network I had high hopes for it, just for it to taste bland. But I did enjoy the wheat toast. We were kind of disappointed because of all the good reviews this place has but it was at least a great experience to try it out.

My family always gets the Philly cheesesteak and we upgrade to onion rings and sweet potato instead of regular fries so good every time! This has officially become our go to spot whenever we're visiting the VA cemetery nearby. Always a great experience highly recommend!

This restaurant is tucked in a strip mall right along what seemed to be the main road in town. There are about 3 small tables outside and about 5-6 tables inside. Each one can sit only about 2-3 people, so unless you are picking up to go, this won't work for a large group. The decor was fun and colorful. The kitchen area had a lot of open/extra space so I'm guessing this was a bakery before and the new owners didn't remodel much to keep the cost to open down. They could probably get another 4+ tables in here if they did. Not a negative, just an observation. The menu was filled with interesting stuff. We landed on 3 very different things. There was a sweet potato bowl on the menu that looked tasty, and while reviewing the menu I watched one get delivered to a table and it looked delicious and it was ENORMOUS! I wasn't sure I wanted to each that much so I went with a chicken wrap, my wife ordered a pizza, and my sister in law ordered a "small" salad. We decided to sit outside and they brought us our food and a sample of the soup of the day as a complementary treat (or it was included with our orders, not 100% sure) the soup was a ham/lentil/bacon recipe and it was delicious. My wrap was pretty tasty too, it could have used something to add crunch, maybe wonton strips or something like that. The flavor was great though. My wife's pizza was a bit too cheesy and slightly undercooked, but it was still tasty. If we ordered that again I'd probably ask they cooked it a couple minutes longer. The "small" salad was HUGE! I can't imagine what the large is like and I can't believe the price for what you get there. It looked amazing and fresh. My sister in law said it was very good. Overall I do think they have a couple things to work on but I loved the experience and I would come again if I was in the area. It was an incredible value for the quality of the food and that's why I'm still giving them 5 stars. For about $35 it was an absolute steal for 3 people.

Prices: 4/5 - I forgot to get a picture of the prices, but it is indeed a bit expensive, but they are much more fairly balanced than Last Stop (and don't charge $8 for a Hotdog). Food: 5/5 - You know what, after eating at Last Stop, this was a pretty good meal. Even by itself, the chicken and fries are solid. - Fry sauce reminds me of Cane's sauce, but it's pretty good as is. - Also, I tried to get Chili Cheese Fries just to compare to Last Stop, but they unfortunately were out of chili. Overall: 5/5 Stars Final Thoughts: For my first time eating at a Chicken Shack, I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered some food. This honestly feels like a completely different experience from Last Stop, and I wish this was the stop where we went to eat originally. Although I will admit there is no gas station (at least that I could see), if your passing through Boulder City, you should make this your last stop instead.

I ordered for my friend who wanted the Traditional Carnitas. I asked for the rice and beans on the side which Nicole repeated. As you see in the picture it did not come on the side. As I wrote this review, we have been done eating now for close to 10 minutes and Nicole is busy talking to the other lady server. I'm waiting on a box and my friend is waiting for water??? The food here is excellent, normally the service is but not only did we not get the rice and beans on the side, she forgot to bring the tortillas. So even though we enjoyed our meal and we always recommend this place, the service today was not good. We will be back as we like this place.
