Domino has terrible customer service. I ordered oil 4 days ago and they were unable to deliver yesterday because they were unable to access my yard because of the snow. They never called and notified me that they couldn't make access and I gladly shoveled the snow and sent pictures to where it is now accessible. I am now low on oil and now they are saying they cannot deliver until tomorrow. I never received a call when they were delivering about the snow and they said they called me to which they are liars. I called because I ran out of oil. it was 6:00pm and needed oil that night. so I begrudgingly had to swallow the $250- yes TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY dollar "emergency fee". My oil tank developed a pinhole leak, and I wanted to get it replaced before it got any worse. Domino was the first company I called; they asked me to send a video showing how to get the existing tank in and out of the basement. I sent it, and they responded with a very well-priced quote in under an hour. They also were able to schedule the replacement quickly. IN CONTRAST, every single OTHER company I called (and it was many) wanted to send someone out to the house in a few days or weeks to take a look at the tank, before giving a quote, and they also didn't have any availability to replace the tank for weeks. I technically may have been able to wait longer as the leak was slow, but for my own peace of mind, and since Domino responded with the urgency I was looking for, and because their pricing was great, I went with them. On install day, they called in the morning to confirm, and they showed up promptly at the time they scheduled. The install team needed to remove the railing off my basement stairs and remove the side door in order to get the old tank out, which they did - and they replaced both properly before they left. The new double-wall tank I purchased required a different pipe and feed line routing and they did all the work to hook everything up and test it. They cleaned up after themselves well and left my house just as they found it, but with a gleaming new tank. I feel it is so rare to find companies I can wholeheartedly recommend so I always try to leave reviews when I do find one. Terrible service! Carl who is the owner is very unprofessional. Called Domino fuel to replace my leaking oil tank. They agreed to show to show up to my house on 12/4 between 9-11 to replace the tank. He never called or showed up. My husband called at 10:45 to find out what was happening. The office manager said that Carl would be calling us back. He calls and says that another job took longer than it was supposed to and he won't come until tomorrow. First of all what other job? We were supposed to be the first job. At 9am but Ok we rescheduled until Tuesday. They show up on Tuesday at 10am and they have the wrong tank. So now they have to go to get another tank all the at in wantagh. I called Carl to express to him My disappointment with his service considering the fact he was PAID in FULL and had not even came to my home to see the work he needed to do. His company requested us to send photos and video of the tank that needs replacing. Carl was extremely rude and made me feel as if he was doing me a favor. He expressed to me that he can't send someone bc that would further delay the work. He also said that my husband didn't pay him in full that we used PayPal credit which was FALSE. My husband paid with PayPal and it took the funds from our account. He said he didn't see the funds on his end which has absolutely nothing to do with me. If he didn't see the funds why would he be in my house to replace the tank. He decided that he didn't want to hear my complaints and said he will refund me. So he refunded me, and He had his guys leave the job. So you're refunding me but you didn't see the funds in your account? Hes terrible. Beware! So let me get this straight. I call your company to get an estimate as have used you before and am a customer. You give me a date and then technician comes unannounced 2 days before appointment. I cancel plans to let him do it anyway. He surveys the jobs and measures. You send an estimate and then I ask if I can get a lower estimate and will pay cash and then you don't return calls. Then you tell me you made mistake it's for a burner you don't use you need to COME BACK and measure again and I was always EXTREMELY nice even though you keep making mistakes. You schedule again another measurement for Friday after 5pm....no call no show and then bam me as a customer after dealing with this for 2 months because I sent an email stating this was bullshit? Terrible experience with my oil delivery. On Friday 11/25/23 I paid $479 for a Monday delivery. when I got home from work on Monday, my tank was 1/4 full and there was a delivery ticket which showed $369 was delivered. I called the customer service dept Mon, Tues and Wed requesting to speak with Supervisors resolve- I asked them to deliver the rest of the oil I paid for. No one returned my call on Mon or Tuesday. Wed morning, I informed the rep that I would have to file a complaint if they don't call me back. A few minutes later, Supervisor name Carl called and was arrogant and disrespectful. He did not apologize but instead said they are too busy to talk to me. I asked them to deliver my remaining oil and he told me that he refunded $96 and I have to re-order online-don't call them. I told Carl that I received a discount for my bulk order and now ordering less oil will cost me more per gallon which benefits his company not me. He did not care- just said he don't have time and i need to stop being difficult. He also informed me that they still owe me "73 gallons of oil" from a previous season as well. He said it's my responsibility to keep up with what they owe me or else I won't get it because it's not their job to keep track!!!!If it wasn't for this terrible experience, I would not even know they owe me 73 gallons never delivered from last season; $100 worth of oil from this week and god knows what else.
