I want to give a big THANK YOU, to Josh Pfieffer, one of the technicians at Jen air. During the winter we had a problem with our furnace. Being new home owners we tried everything to get our heat to kick in. We even had another company come prior to Jen Air and they only resolved one issue. We continued to have issues with no heat. We contacted Jen air and Josh was sent over to assist. Not only did he walk us through what we needed to do for maintenance but he doubled check everything before he left. Fast forward a few months in, I noticed a leak coming from my office ceiling fan. We reached out to Jen Air again and requested Josh. He showed up, on time and resolved the issues. No more leaks, pipes were sealed and I can run my air conditioning without being nervous that I'd damage my ceiling. Thank you again to Josh for being knowledgeable and professional. If we have any issues moving forward you guys are going to be our go to. read more

He would never ever hire this business again when I you could see my previous review and the bullshit that was answered. They charged me for two days work over $1100 and the guy did nothing nothing at all except to tell me that I needed a different part for another $400. He came back the next day and did absolutely nothing and stood around. I had a friend here was watching everything. I wouldn't hire a new company the next day and they came and fixed the issue within a half an hour to 45 minutes and charged me a reasonable amount. I will never ever contact Jen again. Called Jen Air Inc to replace a leaking rusted filter dryer. They charged $1257.08 which included $202.50/hr for labor and $400.03 for a Liquid line dryer. Johnston supply sells them for $22.99! When I called to complain they said the $400 includes labor which was billed at 202.50 an hour. Anyway you add it up that is an enormous bill for the amount of work. If you want hidden fees and a gigantic bill call Jen Air Inc. BUYER BEWARE. read more

Very pleased with their service. Had a problem with our gas heater on a Sunday evening, and called their 24 hour number. I left a message and when they called back they clearly explained how the charges for the service would work. I agreed, and the technician was over the house about an hour later. The technician was very professional and polite, and resolved the problem within an hour. Long story short, the individual assigned to come to the house went next door instead of my house. I am a bit confused as to how this could happen. The addresses on both houses are labeled as clear as day.(You cannot miss it, seriously) Additionally, it is safe to assume this person went up to the home twice. First to knock, then to place a card in the mailbox stating he missed us. How could they miss an address twice?!? Also, why wasn't a courtesy phone call made? Very annoyed as the one thing you could never get back is time. The window for them to come was 2 hours. Important arrangements were made on our part to be home. So, so bad. So unprofessional. We just had our central air installed last year and they put the drain pipe in our upper gutter, which leaked calcium all over our brand new roof. We called them for help - they came several WEEKS later, took a look, and shrugged their shoulders. Then the guy said that he was going to "talk to his boss" about what they could do for us/how they can fix it. He said he'd call us back in a day or two to let us know what they could do. TWO MONTHS AND SIXTEEN PHONE CALLS LATER, they FINALLY returned our call and told us that they were having trouble finding someone to come to our house because they "only work during the day and you don't get home until 4:00 and that's too late for us." Ugh. Are you kidding me? So my husband took a day off and scheduled an appointment. He asked for a time window so he could run some errands but still make sure he was home for them. The lady said they call the day before to give the window. Ok. Day before - NO CALL. Day of - NO CALL. At 2:00 on the day, STILL NO ONE CAME. My husband called AGAIN to find out wth was going on. Her answer? "He can't get there until around 4:00." WHAT??? My husband just lost a day's pay to be home for them bc they "don't work after 4:00" and now the guy is coming around 4:00? When he asked her why this is all happening to us, she was BARELY apologetic and couldn't care less about the AMOUNT of time that we have wasted just trying to get them to fix THEIR mistake. Unbelievable. This is all happening in real-time so I will have to update this review IF and WHEN they ever show up. Doubt they will even try to make it right. They don't seem to care one iota if the customer is happy. They took our $14,000 with no problem when they were doing the job, and asked us to write them a review. Well, here you go. I'd give zero stars if I could. They dropped our brand new central air conditioner right off the truck. My husband being the good guy he is, checked the unit and a blade was bent, he asked if they had a comb (a tool that fixes problems with CAC) and they said no. We should have waited 6 weeks and ordered a new unit and rejected it. It was October and we had to wait awhile for the first unit. Our other reasoning was that after 6 more weeks, we would have had an install in December when it gets cold, so running and testing would have been another problem, so we stayed with unit that was dropped hoping that it was okay.So that was problem no 1. On several occasions after that they show up with no tools, no ladders, my husband had to lend them our ladder. What company shows up with nothing? We should have made them order a brand new unit. Our Unit was purchased from a home improvement appliance company and Jen Air had a contract with them as a service provider (sub-contractor). Home improvement appliance company manager named Mike in Bay Shore told us they dropped Jen Air because of too many complaints and are subcontracting it out to Lennox Air now. We are under warranty and called them several times to fix an air handler (has drip pan for condensation (wasn't installed correctly so it leaked, overflowed onto my kitchen ceiling from attic) that was never installed correctly and we have a leak stain in my kitchen that was never fixed. They were great about an apology and calling us back and gave us the person who handles their insurance claims. My husband called back (the guy who they hired to repair, guy never called back) and a year and a half later we still have a water stain on our ceiling that was never fixed. Jen Air should have followed up but never did to see that this repair would be completed. It never was. The next service call was 6/3/16 and they came, did not give us an invoice or yellow repair ticket (which one time was given when we had a problem with the air handler leak in the ceiling(it was no charge on 9/11/15). We called again to set up an appointment on 6/24/16 and they told us it would be a $200 charge, we said NO to that (warranty on CAC) and politely told them 24 hour advance notice not to come because we weren't paying for a service call when unit was under warranty. I told them nicely thank you for your past efforts but we called CAC manufacturer and we won't need their service anymore. CAC froze up and wouldn't stop running, and never shut off with thermostat. (They couldn't deliver proper service). We called our CAC manufacturer and they said we were in their system and were covered under warranty and Jen Air is their contractor to repair. Bottom line no charge should be incurred. SO, on 6/27/16 we get an invoice for $233 for the NO CHARGE warranty service that was done on 6/3/16. They were angry and did an UNETHICAL charge because we dropped their service. They were charging now for what we called for several times and NEVER PROPERLY FIXED and my ceiling is still NOT REPAIRED (see photo) from their bad install on an air handler wasn't installed correctly. DO NOT USE THEM, you'll have many headaches. I called them on 6/27/16 and my patience wasn't there, I think we were more than patient. I lost it and was yelling at woman. Cathy had bad demeanor. They also didn't return phone calls either the last few weeks. Seriously need to show up with tools and a ladder and not ask clients if they have a ladder. Also, don't come if you aren't going to do job correctly and waste our time from taking off work. When you get a unit carefully take off truck. Don't drop someone's brand new unit. When we had a leak in attic, make sure your insurance contractor comes here to repair our ceiling, which never happened. A year later and we are still waiting. When something is under warranty, make sure you don't charge. When we are nice and give you 24-hour notice for cancellation and we're nice about it, don't be unethical and then send us a bill when you are angry. We tried working with Jen Air we really did. When a company doesn't fix problem many times over leak in system probably from dropping unit and we ask for a good troubleshooter please. ***Also a note, I was first to review this company. It gave me a first to review icon. 3 days later, another reviewer shows up as a first reviewer (really) from 2 months ago saying she had a GOOD INSTALL 10 YEARS AGO). Does that sound right? Guess she works for them.*** I'm fair and honest. WE WERE AT FIRST UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENT. All of these things happened and I can't ignore the facts. I truly don't understand why we had such a hard time with Jen Air. We tried working with them. We now have a ceiling that is damaged that we have to fix ourselves and an CAC that is not up to par for a brand new CAC. Jen-Air installed my A/C Unit about 10 years ago. The install went very smoothly and they are very careful installing the unit as well as being careful and respectful of your home. The office staff is very helpful and gets your message to the owners or tech's that can help you . You will usually get a call back shortly after you call but definitely within 24 hours. The technicians are friendly yet very professional and go above and beyond to make sure whatever issue you have is taken care of to your satisfaction before they leave (unless they need to order a part or something). The owners are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure they get a technician to you as soon as possible to resolve any issues you may be having. I can not say enough good things about Jen Air! My heat wasn't working, with a small baby at home and no service contract I thought it would take forever to get someone to my home. I called the office at 9:00 am, spoke to Kathy (who was the sweetest women) told them I had no heat and by 11:00 am the technician was knocking at my front door. They fixed the problem in less then an hour. The technician came dressed in a Jen Air uniform and was extremely professional. Not only was the service completed quickly but the rates are very reasonable. I will recommend this company for all heating and A/C needs. read more

I understand it's a heat wave, and AC's Break.Our landlord choose to use them to have a new AC installed. I too would give them zero stars not only for their poor service, but for the derogatory tone of Cathy's words their representative who reached out to me when her crew did not show up in the extended window (11-4) promised. When I spoke to Cathy, she told me I did not understand what it was to be in a service industry. This struck me odd, since all we do is provide a service to our customers, and have been overcompensating, giving discounts, and provided cold drink and ice cream relief because our AC was out of commission. As of today 36 hours after they were suppose to fix our AC, we are still our of cold air. The repair man they sent out today, on a Saturday ( who was the one who made the initial visit on a thursday) was unprepared to replace a pulley, or have a second tech on hand like he had told the company he would need, that he would need to repair this heavy motor. Our landlord had changed the order, from a new unit, to an motor repair, since Jen air was unable to provide the unit they had agreed upon, just so he could get our business cool again. So the tech waited in his air conditioned van, window closed, motor on for about an hour, waiting for the second tech. Second tech gets here, and within 10 minutes they agree yep, they need a pulley and will be back on Monday. Thats really good service... not! Thank goodness our landlord profusely apologized to us and agreed to allow us to use a local company that had already promised us a repair from the start. I would never recommend this company, if you have to come to a place of business 3 separate times during a heat wave and still can not provide a Good Service, who would give you any stars or recommendations?!?! read more
