My family got 2 central air units, a 3 ton for upstairs & 2 ton for downstairs. They got the units recommended by Cool Air Designs & they installed them too. Al and team did an awesome job installing new AC and heat in my townhouse at a very fair price. We recently had serious issues with the AC. We had leaks from the living room ceiling caused by condensation from poorly installed ducts and being a 3 story house with only a single zone the heat and AC was always unbalanced between the floors. We had proposals and estimates from several firms to correct the issues, but Al seemed the most knowledgeable and his estimate was reasonable. The first day, they showed up with at least 8 workers who ripped and removed the old heat and AC, installed and repaired the duct-work and installed a new 2 zone system so we could have efficient and balanced heating and cooling. Cool air designs is a first rate customer comes first HVAC company. From start to finish Al(owner) and team were knowledgeable and professional. My wife and I 3 years ago had a ductless unit installed in our basement. Recently the unit started struggling to heat my basement. As it turned out Al's team identified that the unit had a slow refrigerant leak in the main coil. Upon having a phone conversation with Al withought hesitation he had a brand new unit delivered to my doorstep the next day! Shortly after his team installed it and all was good again! This company from the owner to our service tech, Anthony, went above and beyond for us. My 87 year old mother's A/C went down in this heatwave and the unit she has is hard to get parts for. They got the unit up and running ASAP. Anthony was great dealing with my mom and the owner called me to check up on her after the fact. I was shocked to learn that Fujitsu doesn't include labor in their warranties. I know of no other manufacturer in any industry that doesn't provide labor along with parts even in their limited warranties. How many customers do you inform that the warranty doesn't include labor? I suspect none. Had I known, I would have used a different company as most installers I spoke with recently provide a warranty independent of the manufacturer. I would suggest to all potential buyers to learn what the warranty consists of. Cool Air Designs failed to carry out even their most rudimentary obligations which is to advise customers of every aspect of the warranty. By the way, why is it that Cool Air Designs and Fujitsu's warranties don't include labor? Is it because it's an inferior product? Can you imagine buying a new car without labor being part of the warranty? read more

Ok, I waited until the end of the summer to write my review. I wanted to live with and use my ductless air conditioning and heat. We are into fall now and I am smiling as I turned on the heat to remove the chill this morning. My house was built in the 1860's, small rooms with high ceilings with absolutely no room for ducts. We added a great room/kitchen with cathedral ceilings, also with no room for ducts. We have lived with loud, window units for years with drapes to close off rooms to keep the cool air in and keep costs down. Essentially, feeling like a tomb in the summer instead of a home! This past spring after much research and a few estimates, we called Cool Air Designs. We met with Al Falcone. I love this guy! Down to earth, no BS, best price! I might add that he very much resembles Jerry Seinfeld, love him too! We had two Daikin units installed, one large in south great room, and a smaller unit in the north living room. We opted for units that provide both ac and heat. Let me say that this was one of the very best things I have done for this lovely old house and my family! The units are efficient, QUIET, and so effective! Nothing but praise for my system and Al's company! Great product!! Great installation crew!! Great customer service!! We found Cool Air Designs by Internet chance. The owner (Al) is a true customer-oriented businessman. He was on vacation when I left a weekend message for a quote, and got back to me immediately. He came as scheduled, and reviewed our layout and existing system. He clearly presented the advantages and disadvantages of the myriad of central AC systems currently available. The information made it easy to select the right system for our needs. The next day we received a comprehensive and competitive quote. Three days later all the new equipment appeared in front of the house at 6:30 AM. The installation team of six appeared before 7. They split into 3 teams and worked simultaneously on removing and installing the compressor, the air handler and the refrigerant tubing. The crew was quite young, but were the most professional and knowledgeable group we ever had work for us. We were kept apprised of the progress throughout the day and were contacted by Al directly to ascertain our satisfaction with his team's progress. Incredibly, they were done by 2 PM, with all areas cleaned and the old equipment removed. The system is now running and performing as Al said it would. I highly recommend Cool Air Designs for their excellent service and fair pricing. Another bonus is watching the carefully coordinated and integrated installation process by his obviously well-trained and committed crew. read more
